Gretchen Whitmer Vs Marco Rubio 2028 Election Prediction
Hello everyone, we have another 2028 election prediction. This time we have governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, up against
Marco Rubio,
the current secretary of state. So
it's either going to be Vance or Rubio as the Republican nominee. Rubio only gets it if he gets
Trump's endorsement instead of J.D. Vance.
That could very well happen. Trump sometimes is an unpredictable guy when it comes to politics.
So right now I'm just going to set up the safe red and safe blue states as we go into this.
But I still think he probably in all likelihood endorses J.D. Vance unless Vance betrays him.
But I don't really see that happening.
Florida, Texas. These states are just out of reach
for Whitmer here because Rubio is going to do very well with Latino voters
in both these two states keeping them safe red.
So let's get into it.
Starting off, I think we'll head
to
the western states. So I'm putting
New Mexico as a lean blue. I think he could connect all the Latino voters in this state, do well with independents.
Arizona, I actually think he would definitely win this state probably by about a five point margin. I think he'd just perform very well here.
Nevada, I also think he'll do pretty well in.
Ohio and Iowa, I could see him not being as populous as J.D. Vance. I actually see him doing a bit worse
in these two states than him. So he doesn't carry them by safe red margins.
Nebraska second I think goes to Whitmer
probably by a bit more of a narrower margin
probably by like four points or so.
Minnesota, again, he's just not a populous candidate. So I see him doing a bit worse in Minnesota.
I see him doing a bit worse in Michigan having that as likely blue because she is a well-elected governor in Michigan.
So I think she'd carry it by a pretty decent margin considering Rubio isn't really a populist either.
So I could see him doing worse in the Rust Belt.
Let's head down to North Carolina and Georgia.
Again, him being not a populous candidate doesn't hurt him as much in these two states.
So I see Rubio winning North Carolina and narrowly winning Georgia while Whitmer wins in Virginia.
And New Jersey, I could see it being a bit closer.
But I still think Whitmer carries it by a similar margin to what Harris went by probably by about six points.
In New Hampshire and Maine, I don't think
Rubio could win these two states. I think they're just out of reach for him. So it comes down to Pennsylvania again
because with Michigan or with Wisconsin, I think Whitmer carries it.
So
in Pennsylvania,
there is a lot of things going right for Republicans in the state in terms of party registrations.
And with Rubio, he just needs...
I think he'll do about as well as Trump did in the suburbs, but he might lose some grounds in the rural parts of Pennsylvania.
So that's something to keep an eye on.
But for now, I think he narrowly
gets the win in Pennsylvania right now against Whitmer, but that could very well change.
But I'm only giving it to him because I think he'd do a bit better with Latinos
in this state and that could definitely
fix his problems with the populist base in Pennsylvania if he does better with Latino voters, like I think he will.
But he gets a narrow Electoral College victory and Whitmer probably wins the popular vote by about two points against him, but he just
wins in the Electoral College.
But yeah, that's kind of how I see the election going with Rubio versus Whitmer.
