On a run from my given disaster Speed away from the holy mind, pride
I swear I never thought it would matter If I'm gone by now
All my weakness keep on linger, linger on My favorite song
Oh, I know I should be moving, moving But you got me good, you got me
I keep on trying to live in Still it feels like I'll pretend
Keep on driving and driving Along the road tonight
As my head don't feel my spine Between the chairs and bottled jug
Just me and all the red lights Keep on driving and driving
Y'all, we're about to take a solo trip to Hanoi, Vietnam for a week!
So freaking excited!
Y'all, we're Flying Economy and let me show you everything we got in Economy.
And of course, you already know we have to have a window seat because girl, how?
Anyway, got us a pillow, a blanket, water, a big one, some slippers with the grippers
and we got some earphones.
That's it.
Remember that one time when we had like the little bag
and it came with lotion and everything in it, toothpaste, toothbrush?
Yeah, that didn't happen this time.
I still got it though.
I still got it.
Also, this flight, 15 hours.
Yeah, yeah.
15 hours just like this.
You can do it.
I've done it before.
We're going to do it again.
And of course, I brought some socks because girl, you got to get comfortable around here.
Y'all, I don't think there's anybody in the middle seat.
We're going to be a little comfortable.
I feel good about it.
Oh yeah, and we're flying Korean Air.
Our first meal is coming y'all.
I'm getting Korean style because why not?
He just told me how to eat this.
He was like, do you know how to eat that?
No, I don't even know what it is.
It just looks interesting.
Do not know if I'm saying this right, but it's like bib, mbap, bibimbap.
I'm going to show y'all because I definitely do not know how to say it.
Okay, this is what everything looks like.
I don't know how to eat this either, but you know, I'll try to work it out.
He put hot water in there and then the rice goes in here.
This goes in here.
We just eat together, so try something new.
I'm not really hungry, so this is the perfect time to try something new.
Also, I don't know if I mix it up good enough,
but I have a little bit of everything so we can try.
Y'all, we made it to Korea.
We only have like an hour layover here though,
so we got to find our gate before we can do anything.
I only got like two hours of sleep on that plane,
but it's not bad because we started off in the morning,
so pretty much I stayed up the whole day
and then I got two hours of sleep before we landed,
but I feel good about it. I still do.
Also, when I land in Vietnam, it's going to be like nine o'clock,
so I still need to be sleepy.
We got stuff to do in the morning.
We have to go back through TSA and then we get to find our gate.
Y'all, we made it through TSA with no problems.
Thank God.
Last time I came here, I had some tweezers
and they was like, girl, you can't bring this.
I was like, my bad.
I made it through the other TSA.
Anyway, I think we're going to be able to go into the lounge
for like 30 minutes, y'all, so I feel good about it.
Unless they have a line.
If they have a line, we ain't going to make it,
but I've been to this airport before
and I feel like we're going to make it, y'all,
because last time it was 30 minutes and we made it.
First, let's go find our gate.
Make sure our gate's still there.
Y'all, I just learned that our flight has been delayed.
I'm not even mad.
That means we're definitely going into the lounge.
It's only delayed 15 minutes, but you know what?
That's the extra 15 minutes in the lounge.
Girl, look at you.
We're on 249 right now.
We got to get all the way to 278 to make sure that's our gate
and then we can explore.
Meanwhile, the airport be a whole mall, y'all.
Look at the little guitar store.
Where are those dorm carts at?
I forgot about the little shopping carts.
I can put my stuff in.
Y'all, we found our gate, 278.
Our plane doesn't start boarding until seven o'clock
since it got delayed.
And you know what that means?
That means we have about an hour and 15 minutes in the lounge.
It's 547 right now, y'all.
So if we hurry, we'll have plenty of time to relax.
All the lounges full again.
Last time it was full though, the line went by pretty fast
and we still got in, but fingers crossed
that we make it in this time
because girl, you like number 30.
I was only going to stay here for 30 minutes,
so I wasn't trying to stay here for the hour.
So fingers crossed we get to stay in for 30 minutes.
We made it to the front of the line, y'all.
We probably got like 15 minutes.
It doesn't matter, we made it.
Y'all, we made it in.
Where is the seating?
We don't have long at all.
I was dedicated to getting in here, y'all
and we really don't have no time.
They said we can't film in here,
but this is what I got.
Some, it looks like Korean barbecue or something like that.
It looks like sweet and sour chicken.
Money crystal and like some kind of fried rice.
I also got this coffee.
It was really good last time.
And a water.
Is this the hot dog?
This is not as good as I remember.
Y'all, we got like two minutes and we gotta go.
Y'all, we're leaving the lounge like after 15 minutes.
We're boarding now though, so we really gotta hurry.
We can't be stuck here in, what is this?
Seoul.
We can't get stuck in Seoul, y'all.
We gotta get to Hanoi.
Y'all, we made it to our gate.
Y'all, we about to board the plane.
I'll see y'all in Hanoi.
Y'all, we made it to Hanoi.
It was a five-hour flight and I slept the whole time.
Remember last time we went to Vietnam,
how long the line was?
This time, smooth.
We got through there in like what?
Like 10 minutes?
I feel good about it.
Now, we're about to go and get our luggage.
Y'all, our luggage is coming after like 30 minutes.
Thank God.
We got our luggage.
Now, all we have to do is get us a good old grab
so we can go to the hotel.
Oh, I forgot.
Y'all, we need money.
We need money exchange.
The thing is, how much money exchange?
Because you know it's expensive at the airport.
It don't matter.
We need it.
It's late.
Oh, yeah.
It's like 10 o'clock, almost 11 o'clock at night.
So, yeah.
When we get to the hotel, we're about to go to sleep.
Try to find some money exchange.
They don't have too many.
So, we're just gonna go to a random one.
And how much y'all think we need?
50?
We have an excursion in the morning, y'all.
We ain't gonna be able to get money until like tomorrow.
The day after tomorrow.
I feel like 100.
100.
That's too much for the airport, but we gotta do what we gotta do.
Okay, y'all.
$60.
1,500,000 Vietnamese Dong.
No Vietnam.
Your passport to exchange money, y'all.
Also, make sure that your money is new money
because they do not take old bills.
We're only doing $60 and we'll do more money later.
$60 should be good for one day.
We're not gonna spend that much.
Got 1 million here and 200, 400, and 500,000 Dong.
Thank you.
Okay, y'all.
We got our money exchange.
Was it a good deal?
I don't know, y'all.
I never know.
But I did do only $60 because I don't know.
And there has to be a better deal than the airport, right?
Right.
Anyway, we do have an excursion in the morning to go to.
So, I had to get what I had to get.
We're about to go get a grab right now.
We ordered our grab.
Guess how much it was?
It wasn't $5.
Last time I was in Vietnam, it was $5 to get from the airport.
$9 today, which is still not bad
because you know how much Uber costs a lot.
Anyway, our driver is three minutes away.
So, we're gonna be on our way, y'all
because we're in Hanoi.
We're in Hanoi, Vietnam, y'all.
Look at us.
I think our grab is here.
Y'all, we made it in our grab.
I'll meet y'all at the hotel.
We already on an adventure.
Our hotel is like through this little street right here, which is cute.
But you can't drive through here.
It's just like a little street.
It's like a little alley.
We found it.
It was a one-minute walk.
I was like, where am I being dropped off at?
We gonna figure it out.
And guess what?
It was at my hotel.
Thank God.
Because I didn't have an internet getting over here.
Anyway, we gotta go upstairs, y'all.
Our elevator is ready.
I ended up booking a boutique hotel.
I don't know exactly what it's called right now.
But when I see, I'm gonna let y'all know.
We're on the eighth floor.
And I think our room is over here.
Let me get my card out.
It's the end of the weekend, but I still wanna turn up.
Are y'all ready to see the room?
Because it's looking real vintage, y'all.
It's looking real vintage.
It's a small room because this is the bed.
And then here's the TV right here.
And then here's the door.
Now, they do have a closet.
I already put the stuff in there.
But here's the closet.
There's also a safe in here, y'all.
And look, we got slippers again.
This time, it's not flip-flops.
It's slippers.
But I feel good about it.
I do.
The room is kind of vintage, y'all.
And by vintage, it's a little old.
It's a little old in here, y'all.
But we gonna make it work.
We gonna have to.
We booked it.
So the bed is pretty big.
They also have a mirror right here.
Hey, y'all.
Over here.
Let's see what our view is.
Hey, the view is not bad.
I don't know if y'all can see anything.
But it don't look too bad out there.
Nothing special.
I feel like the light gonna come in this way.
Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed it does.
Is this a vanity?
We got a little vanity, y'all.
Okay, so here's our little vanity right here.
Do y'all want to see what the bathroom is talking about?
Well, let's see.
The bathroom is tiny.
We have the toilet.
We have a sink.
We have a shower.
And that's it.
That's it, y'all.
They do have the rain shower.
So that's cool.
Look at this cool door, though.
It's a door to the bathroom.
Let's see.
Okay.
I see y'all trying to make it classic.
There's nothing really special about the room or the bathroom.
But it's ours.
And we gonna make it a home because we're here now.
Okay, the reviews on this hotel or this boutique hotel and really good reviews.
They love the breakfast.
I don't even know if we're gonna make it to breakfast.
But eventually we will.
Eventually.
See what else they gave us.
I see some tea over here.
Some waters.
I like that.
Did we get a refrigerator?
Let's see.
So over here, they're giving us two waters.
I brought that one with me.
And I guess this is to make the water hot.
I don't normally use these things in the hotel.
I just can't.
But it is nice to have.
Let's see what's down here.
Okay, we got a refrigerator, y'all.
I'm pretty sure this costs, huh?
Ain't no way they giving that away, right?
Okay, it looks like they have outlets, though.
I think those will work for the U.S. outlets and the European outlets.
So that's cool.
Let's see what's on the other side.
We got two more outlets over here.
And it looks like that's about it, y'all.
I ordered my portable internet from Wi-Fi for Asia.
So we're about to set it up, y'all.
They bring it to your hotel.
I don't think Vietnam has portable Wi-Fi at their airport.
They just have a SIM card.
So I'll be ordering from Wi-Fi for Asia.
And they get this sent to the hotel.
So it'll be here when you get here.
I feel good about it.
I do, especially if it connects.
I'll let y'all know.
Got my internet connected.
This is my portable Wi-Fi.
I'm gonna put it in my purse now.
I got an adventure tomorrow, y'all.
We do.
I'm excited about it.
That was our travel day for today.
We had a long 15-hour flight.
And then a long five-hour flight.
But we're here now.
We're excited.
We're in Vietnam.
We're in Hanoi.
What adventures do we have in store, y'all?
I don't know.
But we gonna find out tomorrow.
Thank y'all so much for watching today.
