Hi, I'm Wag. I'm Cruella. And we are The Cornhole Couple, your YouTube channel for all things
cornhole. And we are back in the kitchen. We were in the kitchen for our last video, which is how
to break in bags. And we broke in these Rocket bags, these Zero Hours, and they turned out really
well. Yeah, you like them. And I've been throwing those quite a bit. I've thrown them in a couple
of tournaments. And they're really, if you've thrown the Viper R's before, it's the same
materials the Viper R for the ACL. These are ACO. So these are Rocket bags, but they turned out
really good. They have a good feel in them. So you've thrown them a couple times too. A little
too fast for you. Yes, they need to be played with more. Yeah, they'll slow down a little bit. So
today we're in here for a different reason. And the reason is we're going to show you how to clean
your bags because nobody likes a dirty sack. That's right. Gotta keep your sacks clean. And I
wanted to show everybody your shirt. What does it say? Check out my fun bags. Check out my fun bags.
And we are washing my fun bags. We are washing Leslie's bags. These bags are the Buffalo bags.
These are kind of like your go-tos. These are my absolute go-to. Yeah. I'm going to cry when
they are no longer playable. They are going to be no longer playable next season because the
company that makes these bags are going out of business and you can't throw bags if they're not
active in the ACO. Yeah. So these will be just for backyard play or recreational use or whatever. Can't
use these in big major tournaments anymore. That sucks. It is going to suck because I have like four
sets of their bags. But she just ordered some new bags. We'll show you a picture of those as they
just came in. So those are really cool. So let's start with how these bags look
right now. Let's show you the before picture. They look well loved. They've been used.
They've been. Let's just put it out there. This was a white bag. It was white. Yeah. All that around
the eyeball right there was like a bright bright white. And they've been washed before. And on the
other side on the slow side. It was a darker blue. It was a darker blue but the white
thread in there was a brighter white. So let's see if we can get these back to
their heyday. Yeah. I don't know if they can be. I'm not sure either. But they can definitely
be cleaner. We are going to try. Now in the past we have just used like soap and water. Yeah. I
haven't used anything fancy. You don't want to use anything that's going to leave your bags like
filmy. Any residue. Any kind of residue. Because that is going to affect the performance of your
bag. Yeah. It's going to make it faster or slower depending on what kind of residue is left behind.
So you don't want that. You want these to be true to what their speed is. What their advertised
speed is. And advertised speed on these is 5.5 on the slow side and an 8 on the fast side. Now
these run a little bit slower. They do. Than what they're advertised. But I will say dirty bag does
slow down. I was about to say. They didn't always. Yeah. Run a little slower. So I'm hoping that by
cleaning these we don't throw Leslie off. She'll be like. They're clean. I don't like them anymore.
They're too fast. I will always love my eyeball bags. All right. Let's get started. We're going
to use a new technique. We have some Toss Sauce here. It doesn't have a label on it. Because
they were out of labels. And they didn't want to delay the shipping. That's by far the strangest
thing. I know. I've ever heard. So we're sending you our product but it has no label because we
ran out. So no label which means no instructions. I had to message them. But they did put on the
receipt. We don't have the labels. But we didn't want to delay the shipping. So we sent you this.
Message us. So we'll give you the instructions on how to use it. So we have the Wash Sauce. We use
the Toss Sauce to break in bags. We use Wash Sauce. Just to clean. To wash the bags. Okay. All right.
Let's get started. All right. We eat, drink, sleep and even dream cornhole. But we can't shoot our best
without a good night's sleep. Thank you to the sponsor of today's video Brooklyn Bedding. We've
been sleeping on our Brooklyn Bedding mattress for over five years now. Every mattress comes with
120 night sleep trial. There are tons of sizes, models, firmnesses. So no matter what kind of
sleeper you are, Brooklyn Bedding has a mattress for that. You also get free shipping from the
factory in Arizona. The best part is we can save you 30% on your purchase. Just use our promo code
Cornhole Couple when you check out. We'll leave a link in the description. All right. We got our bin.
Same bin we use to break in bags. We have our bags and we have our Wash Sauce with no label.
So what we're going to do first is we're going to dampen some of the bags so they're nice and wet.
Now that all of our bags are wet, we're going to open our Wash Sauce. You can put a quarter size
blot of Wash Sauce on there. And that's probably about a quarter. And then you're going to take
another bag and you want to go same side to same side. So I put the Wash Sauce on the fast
side of the bag. So I want to go fast side to fast side and rub those together and kind of get all
that Wash Sauce worked in there. I guess you could just knead this with your hands too, but this is
what the instructions say. So that's what I'm doing. I want to see if using the instructions
exactly work exactly well, because with breaking in bags, when I break in bags,
when I use a Toss Sauce, I've kind of developed a method of my own kind of
modified version of their instructions that works well for me for the speed that I want when I break
in bags. But for the Wash Sauce, I'm going to do the exact directions. And if it doesn't work,
then I'll try different stuff to see if it works better in a different way. And then kind of
make that process my own also. Now, it doesn't say how long to do this for.
On the other parts of the instructions, it tells you exactly how long to do so for,
but it doesn't say how long to do this for. So I'm just going to do this until
I feel like I'm getting some kind of a result. Now, once I got that fast side done, I'm going
to put a quarter size on the slow side and then I'm going to go slow side to slow side
and do the same thing as I did on the fast side. The next step in the process is to
get some warm water going and put it in the basin here until the water level reaches just above
the top of the bag so that all the bags are completely submerged and then let them soak
for 30 minutes. Now, I really don't see a difference after putting the Toss or the
after putting the wash sauce on there and rubbing them together.
And I did it for a little while. I didn't really see a difference. So maybe the soaking process is
what and the sauce being in there like pulls the dirt out or something. I don't know. But it does
say after 30 minutes if the water is really dirty to repeat the process, do it for another 30 minutes.
So we will do this for 30 minutes and then we'll see what happens from there.
We have our sacks soaking. Yes, we do. In a warm bath.
As you can see, the water is really clear right now. Yeah. So we're going to set our watch. I
have my watch set for 30 minutes. I got the timer set. So we'll come back in 30 minutes and we'll
see. I don't really see a difference yet in the bags themselves. Maybe a little bit. I slight,
I do. I think I'm gonna have to wait until, I mean, it's hard to tell. So I'll have to wait
before and after. Yeah. So after 30 minutes, we'll come back and see what it's like.
So this is kind of like a how to and a product testing video because we're testing the wash
sauce. So if this doesn't work, then we'll just tell you not to buy that or don't waste your time
and we'll find something else. But yeah, hopefully it will work. And I know probably even if you just
soaked them in warm water for 30 minutes, it probably would do something. Yeah. Release the
oils from your hands, the ground. So I think, you know, either way, I mean, I'll probably repeat the
process twice either way, just to be sure. I mean, especially if I can't tell just by the naked eye,
if there's any difference or not. If there's a minimal difference, I'll do it again. I'm shooting
for that bright white. I don't know if you can get that bright white back. I don't think it's
going back to original. I don't know if you can get the bright white back. You probably have to
use some kind of a some kind of a product like a whitening. But I think that would break down
the fabric. Well, that's what I want to check because I'm an OxyClean person. I love OxyClean
and they have a they have a stain remover version. Yeah. So if that this process doesn't work, I'd
like to try that next. And I think OxyClean would be fine. I still I wouldn't recommend using any
kind of anything with a bleach or anything kind of strong chemical because then it's going to
break down the fibers on your bags and then those those seams can come apart. The
bills can start coming out. It's a whole start losing beads and it's crazy. Not good. So we'll
come back in 30 minutes. It'll only be a minute for you, but it'll be 30 minutes for us.
Well, it's been 30 minutes and I don't know. What do you think? I think they are brighter.
Think they're brighter? Yes. I don't know if I can tell really. They're not the brightest
they could be, but they're definitely you can see more bright to the white than there was.
I think I'm going to hit them again. Yeah. I think I'm going to just use my fingers to just
need the wash sauce in there a little bit more. Maybe a soft bristle toothbrush. Yeah. Scrub a
little bit. Nothing too abrasive. You don't want anything crazy. It's going to mess up your bags.
But do you want to add some OxiClean to the hot water? No, no, not yet. OK, let's see how they do
with another round of wash sauce. OK, and we'll go from there. All right. All right. They actually
do look a little better. Thank you. I couldn't tell just by looking at them, but we just looked
at the picture that we're about to show you. Yeah. And they are brighter even in the yellow
of the eye. You can see that it's a more vibrant yellow. Yeah. But I mean, just look at them. They
still look dirty to me. I mean, yeah, if you just gave it to somebody, they'd look at it and go,
yeah, this is a bag needs to be cleaned. But I've had it a little over a year. Yeah. And then the
hand oils just get in there. Yeah. Stain it. And then we do play in outdoor tournaments. So yeah,
it's outdoors a lot. To me, that's very clean for as much use as it gets. Yeah. But we're going to
hit it again with OxiClean just to see. How are we? We're going to hit it with OxiClean just to see.
We looked up online. It's supposed to be safe to do. Yeah. So we're going to fill this up,
put some OxiClean in there, put them in there. It says soak them for about an hour.
We're going to do that and then we'll come back. So we'll see the before with nothing and then
with the wash sauce and then with the wash sauce and the OxiClean. And then we'll see how it goes.
Okay. Maybe they'll be brighter, whiter, even more brighter, whiter. I hope so. Yeah. Cool.
All right. OxiClean it. All right. All right. So this is the OxiClean I use in the laundry.
It's chlorine free, dye free, perfume free, free of everything. And it's safe on colors.
So this should not affect my bag at all. Except make it cleaner. Not going to fill this up all
the way. Fill up maybe halfway. I'm just going to use half a scoop. Throw it in there. It's
all righty. OxiClean I think worked good. I think it did too. I don't know. I think
that's as bright as they're ever going to be. The colors are definitely brighter. The white's
brighter. You still, you can tell it's still, you know, dingy a little bit compared to when
they were brand new. Yeah. But I think because it's been over a year, that's like an old t-shirt
when it gets, you just can't whiten it anymore. You have to throw it away and get a new one.
Definitely the brightest I've seen in a long time, which is good. So now I would say,
do you need the wash sauce? Probably not. Probably not. No, I would just use OxiClean. And you could
tell when we did the wash sauce, the water was not very dirty. When we did the OxiClean,
the water was dirty. I just was, I mean, you couldn't see hardly through the suds,
but I was kind of washing my hand through there so you could see into the water. Yeah. And it was,
it was definitely some dirt in the water. So you could tell it pulled some,
pulled some dirt out of there. So now to dry them, if your bags still need to be broken a
little bit, yeah, you can toss them in the dryer with no heat at all to break them in a little bit
more. But these, you don't want to break them in anymore at all. So we're going to air dry them.
And we're going to show you how we do that to expedite the drying process other than just
laying them out on a rack. That takes forever. But first you want to pat dry these with a towel.
You don't want them sopping or dripping wet because I'm going to take my box fan and put
it between two chairs like this. And then I will set these bags on the box fan. So
then kick it on. Yeah. And then after that, it dry on that side, you can flip them over.
They don't take too long to dry that way. There you have it. That is how to wash your dirty sack.
Yeah. If your mama never taught you, this is how. And actually we, uh, we really didn't know
this kind of experiment for us with the wash sauce and stuff and the OxyClean. Uh, so I think,
you know, the combination is okay, but I wouldn't probably spend the money on this again.
But if you want to, you can. Yeah. I think they, all the washes out there work fine. It's just,
is it cost-effective compared to the other things you could use? Yeah. I think a tub of OxyClean is
way more cost-effective than a bottle of wash sauce. Which is only going to do a couple of
washes. Yeah. A couple of sets of bags. Yeah. Anyway. Um, now, you know, you can use OxyClean
and that's how you clean it. That's how you dry it without any issues. And now you have clean sacks.
They're brighter and more colorful than you've had in a long time.
And they're discontinued. And they're discontinued. They will look pretty when
they get retired though. And they will look nice when we take them to state this weekend.
Yeah. We're going to the state championships. We, uh, last weekend won the city championship
in Columbus, Georgia. And so we are three times city champions. We're going to state. The best
we've ever done at state was fourth. Yeah. So we'll see how we do this time. Yeah. We'll let
you know in the next video. Maybe it's a good story. Maybe it's not so good story. If you don't
hear about it, it wasn't a good story. We don't brag about our failures. All right. That's it.
Hey, we appreciate you watching. We will see you next time. Bye.
