I'm staying in the weirdest Airbnbs, like a house with Minecraft gaming rooms,
homes that look like they're from the future, outer space, and the inside of a coloring book.
We'll explore them all and more, starting with an actual UFO.
Like, this doesn't look like any house I've seen before,
and it only gets crazier on the inside because it's basically full of alien artifacts.
There's one room in this Airbnb that apparently is really special.
I can't wait to see it.
But first, let's do a UFO tour.
Right next to the front door is this life-size alien statue.
There's a little baby alien wearing a tinfoil hat, I guess, so he doesn't get brainwashed.
Also in the entryway are a ton of alien-related items you can use while you stay here,
like these really cool alien glasses and alien antenna headbands.
How do I look?
The living room is next with a cool futuristic space lamp,
a space couch with space pillows.
Obviously, there's a big TV,
and there's a collection of basically every space and alien-themed movie you could imagine.
There's a dining room with a kitchen table,
another life-size alien,
and a real telescope you can use to try and find actual aliens.
Of course, there's a kitchen as well.
It's mostly normal.
There's a stove, a microwave.
Next up, even the hallways are filled with alien artwork.
Next is the kids' bedroom.
In here, there are two space-themed kids' beds.
There's a chair with alien toys on it,
and one of the beds comes with alien gloves.
There's a tiny TV and a kid-sized astronaut outfit.
Next is the adults' bedroom, which also has a space-themed bed.
This room comes with a huge TV,
and the bathroom here even has a UFO.
But apparently, the best part of this Airbnb is right up these spiral stairs,
because up here is a private arcade loft.
It's filled with retro arcade games, space masks you can try on,
another TV.
There's even this couch you can sit in with windows
that let you look down on your living room below.
Even though some of the games didn't work,
where else can you get an arcade all to yourself?
Whoa, whoa, okay, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Aw, man.
But it's time to relax, watch an old alien movie,
and finally get some rest.
I gotta say, this home is really special.
It's super unique.
For over $400 a night, I'm gonna give it a 6.7 out of 10.
But next, welcome to our next Airbnb.
It looks extremely simple from the outside,
but there's a reason for that.
Because as soon as you walk through the front door,
you'll notice the entire house is in black and white.
Honestly, it's a little freaky.
I feel like I might go crazy in here.
But first, there's your kitchen area with a nice dining table.
The curtains in your kitchen look drawn on.
They're not real.
Up here, there are all white books.
At least there are some flowers and plants, so there's a little color.
Here is your all black and white kitchen area.
Here, there's a black stove, a white coffee maker.
There's a black and white tea set, salt and pepper shakers.
Even the fridge kind of looks like it's in 2D.
And the floor looks like what wooden planks would look like in a comic book.
Basically, being in this house feels like you're walking through someone's drawing.
Next is the bed, which is very large.
Luckily, your TV is in color.
But there's a drawing of a plant on the wall, drawings of candles.
And even the bathroom fits the theme.
So you really are living in a coloring book.
But at least the entire place is super clean.
And it probably took some creativity to design an Airbnb like this.
But at the same time, I'm not sure if I'd actually want to
stay here for an extended period of time.
I feel like after a little bit, you'd want some color back in your life.
But it's still fun and clean.
I'd give it a 7.2.
But our next Airbnb is a mansion built entirely out of shipping containers.
I mean, this looks more like a space station than a house.
And there's even a statue of a two-headed donkey out front.
But I'm curious to see what's inside,
because this home is literally famous for being one of the world's top 10 best Airbnbs.
So I really want to know if it's actually that amazing.
And immediately, you'll walk into one of the most colorful Airbnbs I've ever seen.
For example, there's a bunny next to the front door.
There's a yellow chair with awesome pillows.
Super fuzzy yellow couch.
You get a large flat screen TV.
And across from it, what looks like the first TV ever made.
I wonder if it even turns on.
There's a side table filled with knickknacks.
This has got to be the most random collection I've ever seen.
Pen, an asteroid, a snow globe, a cow with no head.
A scientific breakdown of the human head.
A random trophy that says, most smartly gentleman.
This home is definitely a work of art.
But there are also a few interesting choices.
And there's also a piece of technology called the booty shaker.
I think this is like a vintage workout machine.
Although I don't really think it works.
And I'm definitely not about to try it.
But next to the booty shaker is this plant,
which for some reason is completely covered in sad crying faces.
And there's a 70-year-old music player that still actually works.
You just choose your song, and in just a few seconds, it'll start playing.
But next is the kitchen.
It's a really large kitchen.
There is a full-size coffee barista station.
And apparently to buy a coffee maker like this costs $12,000.
But for a machine so expensive, of course the coffee tastes amazing.
Oh man, that's nice.
There's also a massive fridge.
I mean, look at the size of this thing.
Really nice, super large grill.
There's an old diner booth you can eat at.
A clock that says, work to eat, eat to work.
I don't really get it.
On the way to the bedrooms, you'll run into the weirdest collection of lamps I've ever seen.
There is a clown lamp, a gladiator, Pinocchio, and a head.
Yeah, that's not creepy at all.
I guess you could say the lights are on, but no one's home.
But welcome to bedroom one.
There's like a beautiful painting of deer next to whatever this is.
Also next to the bed for some reason is an Elvis Presley phone.
Hello?
But across the hall is bedroom two.
This bedroom for some reason is G themed because there are 20 letter Gs on the wall.
But there's also a retro boombox and a creepy Humpty Dumpty lamp.
But we're still just getting started because there's an entire upstairs to explore.
Here's the living room on the second floor.
Computer workstation, couch, mini couch.
Hi buddy, this can be your bed.
And a rowing machine, which you can pull down to start an intense workout right next to your desk.
And up here you get a large bathroom.
A closet covered with the faces of some creepy looking dogs.
And the largest bedroom in the house.
The only problem is the creepy doll painting facing the bed.
What is that?
She is scary.
But it was already getting late.
So we ordered some food, read some books, and tried to get some rest.
Good morning.
This is one of the coolest looking homes I've ever...
Oh, but moving on.
One night here cost me just under $700 and I'd say it's totally worth it.
So filming a video like this, I'm constantly on the move.
And a huge part of making these videos is the writing that happens behind the scenes.
Whether I'm writing an intro for a video about weird stores.
Or emailing luxury hotels for a stay.
There's a lot of writing I have to do to keep the channel running.
And sometimes my biggest struggle is getting my thoughts down in a way that's actually clear.
Especially when I'm jet lagged or traveling all day.
Luckily, that's where Grammarly comes in.
Grammarly is an AI writing partner that helps professionals with all of their writing needs.
From draft to done with high quality and personalized suggestions.
So it just helps you get your point across, but it still sounds like you.
I start by going to app.grammarly.com to jump into the AI editor.
And then you can use AI chat in my case to brainstorm video titles.
Or get unstuck when I'm staring at a blank page for a script.
It's just such a time saver.
You can even use the humanizer feature to make sure your responses don't sound too clunky.
So it can kind of adapt your writing style to sound more natural and add warmth.
It just saves so much time when trying to respond to emails.
Or think of better ways to communicate an idea that I might have that's super complicated.
I also love using this feature called reader reactions.
Like let's say I'm emailing a hotel because I want to work with them.
Reader reactions can basically predict how someone in their role might respond to my message.
Like if something in my drafted email was unclear.
It can suggest ways to improve it for someone in a serious role.

And let's get to our next Airbnb.
Our next Airbnb looks like a normal house.
But trust me, it's not.
When you first walk inside, everything does look mostly normal.
With a fridge and a coffee maker.
You get a pretty cool basic dining table that your entire family could sit at.
A large normal living room with plenty of areas to sit in.
And you can walk outside where you'll find your own normal swimming pool.
Although the water's a little cold right now.
All of that of course is not what makes this one of the world's weirdest Airbnbs.
What makes this one of the most unique homes in the world.
Is that you can walk down this hallway into your own secret Minecraft gaming room.
And this room is so awesome.
The floor looks like Minecraft.
The walls make you feel like you're in Minecraft.
This room has a full-sized ice hockey table.
Although it's not very easy to play when you're alone.
You have these two lounge areas where you can sit and watch TV.
And this room even has a skee-ball machine.
Skee-ball was easily one of my favorite things to play in arcades as a kid.
So it's crazy someone put one in their house.
Sadly, I'm not very good at it.
Wait, one last try.
But we haven't even made it to the best part of the Minecraft room yet.
Because if you walk over here, you'll find a complete hidden gaming setup.
Complete with Xboxes, beanbags, and even real Minecraft chests you can sit on.
And of course the room is lit by real Minecraft torches.
I mean this definitely would have been my dream gaming setup as a kid.
It's peaceful in here.
You kind of feel like you're in Minecraft.
There's a creeper in the walls.
What more could you want?
But if you thought a Minecraft gaming room was cool, just you wait.
We're just getting started.
This is the movie room where the fun really starts.
You get like the largest couch in the world.
Beanbags that are massive.
Of course, yet another TV.
And now that you're upstairs, you can walk into the first fun-themed bedroom.
The Star Wars room.
This room comes stocked with two Star Wars beds.
You get a fuzzy Chewbacca pillow.
And above your bed is a Darth Vader mask.
I think.
Something might be a little off with Vader.
There's baby Yoda.
And Star Wars wallpaper all around the room.
It's pretty sweet.
But the strangest bedroom in the house might be right behind this door.
Because it's a Moana-themed bunk bedroom.
And there's even a tiny boat ball pit with Moana actually sitting in it.
Although she might be a little creepy at night.
Uh, hey.
But in here there are also island-themed bunk beds.
But they are definitely way too small for adults.
If I was any bigger, I might have broken it.
But luckily not every room in this house is crazy and themed after some character.
There is one normal bedroom.
So parents don't have to worry about getting scared
by Moana or Darth Vader in the middle of the night.
While I don't think this house wins the award of weirdest Airbnb in the world.
It did a really good job of actually building the dream bedrooms of so many kids.
And so for only $400 a night, I'd give it a pretty good score.
But even though our next home looks like a time machine from the outside.
It's actually incredibly cheap to build.
Welcome to Space Camp.
This is our next Airbnb.
And it's a tiny home designed to look like what
homes on other planets might eventually look like.
These homes are built in factories.
And you can literally order one online for only about $20,000.
Making this the cheapest house I've ever seen.
So you'll probably be surprised when you find out how much one night costs here.
But first, let's do the tour.
Welcome to the kitchen.
It's small but has everything you would need.
There's a little fridge, a coffee maker, and a full sink and stove.
Next to the door are all of the light switches.
There's even writing in Chinese.
Which shows you this entire house was literally built in a factory.
Here's the bathroom area which is really tiny.
In the center of the room is your bed.
It's soft.
It's large.
And there are huge windows and a skylight so you have a great view.
They've got UNO, Jenga, Battleship.
And a tiny fake plant.
And then of course right outside this door is your own private balcony.
So for a tiny house, you get a pretty good amount of space.
And then when you get tired and it's time for bed,
you just have to press sleep mode and watch the entire place get ready for bed.
This is definitely one of the coolest looking homes I've ever seen.
But to stay here for one night costs over $300.
I think it's been given the name Space Camp because
this property is in the middle of nowhere.
So luckily they've installed these solar panels to power the Space Camp.
Honestly, I think I would prefer having a few neighbors.
So it looks pretty cool but for $300 a night, I can't give it the best score.
But our next Airbnb is a tiny house that's literally floating in the middle of a lake.
When you first walk in, you'll be in your kitchen,
which really is just like any normal kitchen you'd find in your house.
Next up is the living room area.
There's a cozy couch.
And from the couch, you can see your TV,
coffee table with two chairs that can expand into a dinner table.
There's a cozy corner that includes extra pillows and tables for you to set up
so you can enjoy a TV dinner and sit on the couch while you eat.
There's even a cozy fireplace to keep you warm.
But even though we're in a tiny home and we're floating on a lake,
there's a second story to this house.
You just walk up these stairs and you'll find the bedroom.
The bed's a little firm.
But for a floating tiny house, it's honestly pretty luxurious.
But by far the most important part of this house is right behind this door.
Because here you'll walk right out onto your own private porch right on the water.
So you really have to be careful in the morning
because if you take more than two steps, you'll be swimming with the turtles.
But that's why I brought an underwater camera
because reviews mentioned seeing so many turtles, manatees, and fish.
So I was really disappointed when I dipped my camera under.
Only to find absolutely nothing.
But it's getting late and this place is cozy.
For only about $250 a night, I'd give it a 7.3.
But next we're staying in an Airbnb built by one genius named Dan.
Welcome to the treehouse.
To get into your room, you first have to climb up this ladder
because also up here is the front door.
And immediately you'll walk into one of the coziest Airbnbs I've ever seen.
It really feels like a treehouse.
You've got your TV with all your favorite apps right at the entrance.
There's another coffee table with a guidebook for your stay.
There's a little rocking chair you can sit on while you watch TV.
There's this little bear chair you can sit on.
Obviously this is a real treehouse,
so the entire time you're in your Airbnb,
you can see the real tree that we're in right now.
Dan must have even carved into the tree when he built this place.
Aww.
You might be wondering where you're supposed to sleep
and it's actually a secret bed
because you just have to pull down this handle from this random piece of furniture
and the entire bed will reveal itself
with a photograph of parrots behind where you sleep.
But we are still just getting started
because around the corner is an entire kitchen
with a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker.
This is a pretty impressive setup
considering we're in a tree right now.
But you can walk past the kitchen and find yourself in the bathroom.
But at least you get one considering you're sleeping in a tree.
But we still haven't even scratched the surface
of all the fun things you can do at this treehouse
because you can walk up these stairs to reach a patio on top of the tree.
I wonder if Dan would let me move into this treehouse.
Well, over here he built a trash chute.
You just have to unhook it, open up this door,
and then you can toss your trash
all the way down to the garbage bin on the ground.
That's pretty convenient.
And you might be wondering
what if you want to go back downstairs to the ground
but you don't feel like walking down the stairs?
Good question.
Well, Dan literally built an elevator for that.
Now you just have to walk on in, hold the down button,
and in no time you'll be on the ground.
And I guess the elevator is also really useful
if you need to get your luggage up to your room.
But there's another secret
if you walk through the other side of the elevator.
Here you can walk into a second lounge area
underneath your treehouse.
There's a baby pool.
And you can even walk through this path
into your second living room
with more lounge chairs that are super nice.
There's a little swing.
There's even a second shower.
It's actually crazy how much there is in this one treehouse.
Dan really thought of everything.
Plus right outside of your lounge area
is a nice little tropical dinner table for you.
But that's not all.
Because when you stay at Danville,
you get your own private golf cart
to take and drive around the property.
So before bed, that's exactly what we're gonna do.
Gotta say there are very few things more fun
than driving a golf cart around a giant farm.
And I was having a great time
until these donkeys got mad at me.
What did I do to you guys?
Why are you so mad?
At least when I walked over, they were sweet and kind to me.
So soft.
And it really just meant I had found the farm animals.
I'm not food, buddy.
Don't try and eat me, please.
Of course, there are chickens walking around everywhere.
And all of their eggs are collected in this little bucket.
There's even an alpaca.
Hey, buddy.
Are you scared?
And that's when I found the builder of my treehouse.
Dan, I'm your guest in the treehouse tonight.
You're your guest in the treehouse.
Yes.
The treehouse is amazing.
The story is the first thing I put in was the elevator
because I knew how many times I was gonna have to go up and down.
And it's useful for guests who have luggage.
This is all my art.
So it's whatever I felt like that day is what I built.
This is brand new.
It's a laser.
You gotta be careful.
Like if I shot you with it, you'd catch on fire.
Oh, man.
Unbelievable.
There is a shed.
It's full of little tiny chickens and ducks.
These are peeps.
They just got hatched.
Go see the little chicken.
Will do.
Thank you so much, Dan.
So Dan says over here, there's a whole new litter of baby chicks that were born.
Hey, guys.
Oh, my.
Well, I definitely found the baby chicks.
And I've never seen so many in my life.
Not to mention a whole family of ducklings, too.
Guys, I'm gonna get ready for bed.
It's getting cold.
Well, it was starting to get late.
So I figured I'd read this book back in the treehouse.
But when I opened it up, something fell out.
It's a little note that says Dan apparently is inside this book.
It's so cool.
Chapter 12.
That's so crazy.
I just wanted to read this book because it's about Airbnbs.
But there's an entire chapter about Dan.
I have tried to make this one of the most unique treehouses in the United States.
It's located on a five-acre parcel of ground surrounded by oak and magnolia trees.
There's a residential elevator made to look like a tree trunk
to get you up to the yurt in the tree.
One thing's for sure about this treehouse,
it's gonna be very easy to fall asleep in here.
It's just a relaxing room to be in.
The feeling you get when you're at Danville is unlike anywhere else I've ever been to.
One, it's peaceful.
And most importantly, it's a work of love.
This is Dan's art form.
There's just so much creativity and thought
that went into the design of every Airbnb here in Danville
that it's easy for me to give it a 10 out of 10.
Danville is one of my favorite places in the world.
There's still one more Airbnb that might beat it.
The only problem is to get there, we have to get on a plane.
$100 a night, you can stay in your own mini playground.
First is your living room.
The couch is basically on the ground,
and you're given a ton of really large brown fluffy blankets.
Oh yeah, this is nice.
Here's your game station,
which is filled with fun things you can do to pass the time,
like this alligator toy,
and a tissue box that looks like a sneezing man.
Bless you.
But what's wild is you get capsule beds with a full-size mattress,
and when you want to relax, just close the curtains,
turn on the projector,
and watch a movie from any comfy spot in the room.
I feel super lucky to get to test so many weird Airbnbs,
but this time around, my favorite was easily Dan's Treehouse,
and I can't wait to go back.
