I went back to the UK for some work on Gloria, I like how I didn't even say that that was why I went back...! love u all xox
Look at me being really hands-on.
I've got to change this stupid door handle.
If you watched my video from the other day,
you'll know that I started this project a few weeks ago
and I still haven't finished it.
So I'm being super productive right now.
Okay, we're getting there, we're getting there.
Okay, ----.
Oh no, I screwed the washer onto the outside.
Damn it.
Oh, come on.
Honestly, it took me a year and a half to build this thing
because I kept doing stupid, stupid ---- like this.
I pretty much had to do everything in the van twice
because the first time I wrecked it
and then I learned and then I did it perfectly.
Right, don't do that again.
Okay, take two.
Bam, now we have a cupboard door handle.
Okay, that's so much better.
Oh, I like this.
I like this a lot.
Okay, do you want to know what we're going to be doing today?
We're driving 20 hours to, drum roll please, England.
Okay, so I'm going back
because I've got some things to do in the van
and also some other things.
And I am just, I'm kind of excited
to escape the heat for a little bit
because you guys know I'm in the south of France.
I'm near Saint-Tropez.
I'm living my life, my dream life.
But I do miss the UK sometimes
and I'm kind of excited, you know?
So that means that you are coming with me
and we're going to go on a very, very, very long road trip.
But don't worry, I'll make it fun.
I feel like I'm in a little board game when I'm here.
You know, I feel like the currency is not real.
The money I'm spending, it's in euros.
It doesn't count.
It's not in pounds.
So when I go back to England, I'm going to be like,
whoa, this actually costs money.
But here, because it's in euros, I'm like, take my money.
Oh God.
Okay, let's go.
I'm also not going to lie, my chandelier has seen better days.
So moral of the story would be,
don't get a chandelier ever for your van.
But equally, get a chandelier for your van.
Because when you are 80 and looking back on your life,
you will be like, I had a chandelier in my van.
I had a damn chandelier.
And that's what you're going to remember.
What does an 80-year-old self think?
I can guarantee you when I'm 80, I'm going to be like,
**** it.
I can't wait.
I can't wait, obviously.
Oh my gosh, 80-year-old me is going to be an absolute legend.
She's going to walk around in pink suits and just be like.
But I did question this philosophy the other day.
I was like, when I'm 80, I don't have to care anymore.
But I'm kind of just standing here in a pink van that I live in.
And it's wonderful.
I'm already living my retired lifestyle now.
OK, OK, now we actually need to go.
OK, let's do it.
Let's go.
All right, so now we're going to go to England.
It's a fun fact.
A nice 15 hour drive.
I also have a guest.
My dad's coming back because he needs to do some stuff.
So I'm being a taxi for you.
It's going to be a fun time.
We're going to have a great time.
Can I rephrase that?
We're not going to have a fun time.
I've got 12 to 14 hours with this.
Hmm.
Not fun.
Um, excuse me.
I think you should be delighted to be with me for this amount of time.
My presence is a grace.
For other people.
Right, let's go.
Now I have to leave Gigi with my mother.
And I'm a little scared.
I'm a little scared.
You're going to have to stay with me.
Look at the yachts.
I'm going to have to not see this for like two weeks.
That physically hurts me.
Yeah, I'm over it.
Let's drive.
A little notification saying Gigi was left behind.
Just came up and find my phone because I have an air tag on her.
And it just says Gigi is left behind.
That is horrible.
All right.
I shall be back.
Don't miss me.
Nothing happened here without me.
Thank **** for that.
I'm going to pull over and let you out in about 10 seconds.
So within the first five minutes of traveling,
you're already threatening to kick me out of the van.
Oh, let's take this off.
It's far too hot.
But now we have got a mammoth journey to undertake.
We've got some provisions, which is good.
And I have my daughter for entertainment.
So she is quite a funny little lass to be traveling with.
Yeah, I'm an excellent travel buddy.
And it's really nice having you, Phil.
This would be so easy with someone else.
I know.
Jerome doesn't really cut it, you know.
Jerome's not the one, you know.
No.
Hey, can't get the freaking...
Okay, got it open.
Panic not, panic not.
My little baby.
Oh, I miss her.
Good experience for me.
I'm not driving Gloria.
I don't like it.
It feels...
Should I try and vlog like you do?
Yeah.
Oh, I don't know where I'm going.
Oh, where should I go?
****.
That was good.
That was accurate.
This is literally the best journey ever.
Now, do I sound like, do I...
Where's Jerome?
Where the **** is Jerome?
He's buried under there somewhere.
Whoa.
All right, so I'm still sticking to my Instagram questions.
Okay, so this was a good question.
I quite like it.
And I don't know if I've ever said it before,
but why did you name Gloria, Gloria?
If you're new here, Gloria is my van.
I named Gloria, Gloria because I like Gloria out of Modern Family.
She's very spicy.
She's like, will kill you, but she's very glamorous.
So I was like, yeah, Gloria's great.
So yeah, I was like, I will name her after her.
Alrighty, and for the next question.
Okay, how do I watch TV on the road?
I don't actually have a TV in my van because it takes up way too much space.
So what are the options?
We've got laptops.
We've got projectors.
But today we have the Zenbook 14X OLED, the sponsor of today's video.
She's thin, sleek, and lightweight at only 1.5 kilograms
and has a military-grade durability,
which means I can take her anywhere and everywhere.
Thanks to the plasma ceramic aluminium used in the design,
the Zenbook can survive land life, all whilst remaining fabulous, like me.
And also this material is fully recyclable and produced in a non-hazardous way,
keeping sustainability in mind.
The 2.8K OLED high-resolution display and an i7 Intel processor
means that I can have that TV quality even when living out of a vehicle.
So if you want something that is as pretty as it is powerful,
delicate as it is durable,
the link to the Zenbook by ASUS is in the description of this video.
🎶
There's nothing like listening to It's a Party in the USA at 4am on a French motorway.
🎶
Okay, so we're just coming up to the Eurotunnel.
It is a sturdy 5am.
Yeah, so I've had to, like, dig this kind of weird jacket thing
and I'm wearing leggings.
Literally the only two things I own in the entire world.
Yes, it is me.
It recognised me.
First call for boarding will be in 15 minutes.
Hangar printing in process.
Bon voyage, mister.
Okay, we've got this thing.
Exit, exit for what?
Exiting the Eurotunnel, exiting life.
Why is there an exit?
I am not enjoying this experience.
I am too cold for this ----.
Ordering an iced Starbucks drink was probably the worst decision of my life to this day.
I just feel sick now and even more cold.
It's so cold.
You've got man up.
I don't have man up.
You've man up.
I'm cold, bitch.
You know what?
I was quite excited to go back to the UK until about five seconds ago.
Now I actually want to...
I don't want to go.
I don't want to go anymore.
It feels too official.
Everything, like, there's all these cheques.
Suddenly everyone's English.
There's, like, people everywhere and there's passports and I don't like it.
It feels too official.
I like living in my little Saint-Tropez bubble.
You know, I just feel like I'm on a little cloud and, like, this little bubble of protection
where, like, nothing bad can actually happen.
Like, I just...
I don't want to go back.
I don't like it.
I don't feel good about this and I just ate a really spicy crisp and my mouth is on fire.
Also, there's now a king instead of a queen.
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.
I'm just a bit scared, really.
And it sounds ridiculous, but I haven't been back in, like, a year.
It's just a really weird feeling, you know?
Looks like we might be actually on the move, maybe?
It does feel extremely strange to be going back.
When you're on the Eurostar, I know many of you, when you've been on holiday
and you come back to the Eurostar, it's just, like, this weird feeling you get.
Buttered and complete dread.
I don't want to be back.
But there are some brilliant things as well, and that's, like, full English verbs.
Indian fish and chips.
Indian is better, isn't it?
Indian destroys France.
It does destroy.
It murders France when it comes down to Indian food.
Peshwar is not murder, am I?
I only got to drive on the wrong side of the road.
To us now, it's not the right side.
To us now, it's the wrong side of the road.
No, it's not natural to drive on the...
On the...
You're such a c**t.
On the left side of the road.
It's unnatural.
I'm now a right side of the road kind of gal.
I spent more time driving on the wind side.
I should get it in a minute.
Hey, happy days.
I haven't gone no right.
Now, remember, Ami, we are on what side of the road?
The right.
Ah, it's just so wrong.
It's just so wrong.
Okay, so I found a beach and I'm eating a pink biscuit.
It's actually kind of cool here.
We still have palm trees, so not all is lost.
I found cake.
Guys, I'm so happy.
It's British cake.
Well, it has to be said, that was absolutely marvellous.
And I don't care what anyone says.
No one does cake better than the British.
I think that's agreeable.
I found all of the camper vans in Britain.
How amazing is this?
Okay, so it's been a minute, but I'm going through a...
I'm going through Brighton right now.
So we're going to have a virtual tour.
All right, you ready?
Are you ready?
You better be ready.
You see that there?
That used to be another one of those piers that you've seen back there.
And it actually burnt down like a long time ago.
I'm not sure when, but...
And they've just kind of kept it.
I think it's kind of spooky.
Yeah, it kind of freaks me out.
It looks like a place where it goes for a party, you know?
There's an upside down house.
Lots of beach.
I am proud to be British.
The seaside here feels very vintage in the UK.
It's a little bit run down, not gonna lie.
It's not the Riviera, but it has a different charm to it.
There's like this kind of vintage feel to it.
You know, it's still got the old buildings.
And it's quite grand in certain places.
Which I am living for.
Which I respect the hell out of.
It's so cute.
So cute, you know?
Okay, this is firing up my Britishness and my need to do English things, okay?
Come with me.
We're gonna have an exotic next few days, all right?
I'm gonna do like a little montage, maybe.
Because I don't know how I'm gonna make it float, all right?
Cueing Britishness in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Here we go.
Oh my lord, I've done so many things.
I've done so much over the last few days.
Been to every corner of the Britain.
Been to every corner of the UK.
Been to...
Done everything.
Done all the British things.
Been very happy about that.
Now, I am so tired.
I'm so tired.
Oh, but it's been fun.
It's been fun.
And I've got everything I've come here to do done.
And yeah, I hope you have a wonderful week.
I'll update you next week on what is happening in my life.
Because I don't even know.
But yeah.
Thank you so much for watching.
I'm sorry this video's probably been a bit chaotic.
But sometimes that's how it do be, so...
Okay, thank you so much for watching.
