The fan device has been beautifully modified.
Hello everybody, welcome to the video. So what we have here today
is a Gulf Coast Venetian ceiling fan. One of my dream Gulf Coast fans. So long story short on how
I got this fan, I went to Dance Van City and I was picking up some light kits I ordered
and I asked the lady about the Venetian model fan that was working there and I asked her if she had
any more in the driftwood finish and she said we do not. We actually discontinued this model
and this is the only one left and it was a display model never been used. I'm like this is the only
opportunity I'm probably going to get to get a Gulf Coast Venetian because I've only seen one
of these on marketplace only one and it was selling for 50 bucks and I was like three hours
away I was like no way I'm getting that I'll just wait. I guess so I got this fan and I got it more
than 50% off and I asked the lady if she had any more in driftwood she said no and the driftwood
display model sold instantly. It sold at the price of 400 bucks and that was it brand new.
This I got way less. I also put this light kit on it too in shades. The box to the light kit is
right here and I put this light kit on it because I wanted to give kind of a similar look to the
driftwood Venetian that I first saw at the first Dance Van City I ever went to
and it's exactly that but in bronze. There's the light. I rewired this fan so the up light
doesn't control the down light because this pull chain right here has a three-way pull chain in it
this pull chain and at the other Dance Van City where I saw the driftwood Venetian it had the
light kit wired to that chain so it would do up light down light and all lights. I didn't like
that so I wired it so this controls itself and this controls itself and I like that combo a lot
better. This fan always reminded me of a hard breeze palm breeze but with big leaf blades.
I don't know if it's the blade brackets that make it look like that but this fan replaced
the Commodore Vanderbilt and it's in the closet right now. There's the Commodore. I took that
fan down because it was kind of noisy and it's one of those hunter made ones so the
blades like the blade brackets they don't slip all the way in they slip in but even though the
screws are tight I don't know if that one's stripped it'll just make a lot of noise the
blade brackets it's so annoying but this blows way more air than the Commodore this has a huge
like 188 by 20 motor in it there's a nice low speed to it too it's like aesthetic but quick
like enough to blow air anyways we will go to medium medium is like a high speed oops that's
the light yesterday when I was sleeping with this fan on I had to double check if this was uh medium
or high because I thought this was high so this is like a high speed on most fans it doesn't look
like it's going that fast but it's blowing a lot of air anyways we will go to high great air mover
golf coast fans like the new casablancas because if you guys don't know the story behind
casablanca they got bought out by hunter in 1997 because they're going to go out of business
and after like 2013 2014 when they changed the designs of everything and got rid of the xlp 2000
motor the stack motor that was the last stack motor ever made and after that the um like the
year 2013 I think after that the company just went downhill it's like a merged brand now but
this is the best you're gonna get for a modern fan today like in the 31 inch golf coast dixie
bells they have 153 millimeter motors like that's great for a small fan like that anyways
thank you guys for watching see you guys later and goodbye
