Hey Shiloh! What's today? Shelby! What's today? Is it Fan Friday?
It's Fan Friday!
Yay!
First question today is from Marcy from Facebook.
She wants to know, when we travel, where do we stay?
Do we stay in a hotel or do we only go camping?
Well...
Let me show you! Come on girls! Let's show them!
This is our pop up camper.
When we do go camping, this is what we take.
Want to go camping?
Want to pretend you are going camping?
Alright! Let's pretend!
You like camping, don't you?
Oh! There's Shiloh!
You want to go camping?
Actually, we're going camping in a couple of weeks.
Camper is kind of dirty, cause we just went on a short trip.
Actually, without the girls.
If you guys watch our vlog, you'll have seen it.
My sister watched the dogs for us.
Get in your bed!
Go on! Get in your bed!
Good girl!
Get in your bed! Oh! Good girl!
Usually, the girls either sleep there when we camp.
Or this whole thing, actually.
This table turns into a bed.
All these cushions lay down and they'll sleep right there.
They love camping though.
It's probably one of their favorite things.
We're going on a big four day camping trip.
Labor Day weekend.
Taking the girls. That will be a lot of fun.
I know, right?
Shelby! Look! Do you want to go camping?
Do you like camping?
Want to go camping, Shi?
Huh? You want to go camping?
Pretty soon, I promise! Pretty soon!
Yeah, most of the times
when we go on vacation, if we go camping
we try to plan all of our vacations
where we can take the dogs.
Every once in a while, we'll go on little short trips
and leave them home with my sister.
In the winter time, we have stayed in hotels.
We usually go to the same places
whenever we go.
We do have a list of pet friendly hotels.
It can be difficult sometimes
to camp with your pets or to vacation
with your pets.
They are not always allowed everywhere.
We usually try to plan ahead
and make sure the dogs are allowed.
There's places where we camp
where they have dog friendly areas
in the campground.
If you do take your dogs camping,
make sure they have dog friendly areas.
Right? Right?
You like camping, don't you?
You like camping too?
You're all ready to go!
Brianna from Facebook says,
she has a three year old Husky who still chews
if left home alone.
They don't like leaving the dog in a crate.
She wants to know if we have any tips to fix this.
Well...
Not really!
My biggest tip for this would be
to use one of these.
Shiloh knows what this is, don't you?
This is a Kong.
Notice it's got a hole in the bottom all the way through.
You can stuff it full of peanut butter.
Put it in the freezer.
If you know you're going to be gone for a while,
you can give it to your dogs.
It's kind of a mental stimulation toy.
It gives them something to do while you're gone.
If your dog is chewing on things
and tearing things up while you're gone,
the crate is probably going to be
the best place for them.
Oh! You dropped a Kong!
We didn't actually start
leaving Shelby out of her crate
until just a couple of months ago.
She'll be four on Monday.
Same reasons you're talking about.
She was tearing things up and chewing things up all the time.
It's for the safety of the dog.
If you're not home
and they're eating things,
they can choke and injure themselves.
Sometimes, if they're that destructive when you leave,
it's safer for them in the crate.
You know, half the time
they don't even know they've been in there that long.
Shelby used to stay in her crate while we were gone at work.
We usually tried to come home
at least once during the day and let her out.
She was always just as happy
as could be when we got home.
It never seemed to matter to her.
She always got right in her crate in the morning when we left.
My biggest tip would be,
try the Kongs.
What was that? Was there something in there?
Fill them full of peanut butter.
Stick them in the freezer.
Fill them full of treats.
It will give them something to do for a while at least.
If you know you're only going to be gone for an hour or two hours,
it should hold them over.
Fill a couple of them if you're going to be gone longer.
That way, you know,
it will give them something else to chew on
instead of your stuff.
Right? Right!
Molly from Facebook wants to know
how Shiloh and Shelby act around strangers.
Shiloh and Shelby love people.
They love pretty much...
I know!
They love pretty much everybody they meet.
I don't think there's been very many people
that they haven't liked.
What do you smell Shelby?
What are you looking at?
Shelby!
What are you looking at?
Your tongue is hanging out.
Shiloh and Shelby are both really good around people.
They love people. They love other dogs.
Huskies generally
are a very friendly breed.

Those are Shiloh's.
I like the peanut butter ones.
