Loose Dog! Tease Shelby! Jeep Ride Along! - VLOG 7/2/11

Are you panting still? Is it hot? It's hot today. It's gonna be a hot 4th of July weekend. This is like the only time of the year that our little town gets traffic and this is probably the busiest intersection. All the crazy people from downstate. Vacationers. People trying to get away. I want to get away. I know, from these people. I want to get away from these people. We're gonna get away. We're gonna go to Home Depot. We're gonna buy faucet parts. Stuff to keep the bugs off my cherry tree. And squirrel food. And squirrel food. To tease Shelby. Because we got the squirrel feeders. I haven't shown you guys that yet. I'll have to show it to you when we fill it. That's what we have. They're eating our tree. Them little beetles and they're eating our cherry trees. So we're gonna try this because it says it's safe for trees. And pets. And pets. The dogs can walk on it once it dries. Look we got stuff. We got our faucet. We got cracked corn. I think the squirrels are like... Well, we'll have to get peanuts. But now I have to get... Do you have a bird feeder? We should have bought a bird feeder. Bird feeder. Oh, don't forget my purse. Camouflage. Blend it in. That's squirrel food. Get out of squirrel food. Get out of squirrel food. Look. I have a squirrel feeder. I had this squirrel feeder. I won it at auction for the Humane Society. One of their fundraisers. I've had it like two years but we had no place to put it at the other house. There's gonna be squirrels up here Shelby. I think. We're not gonna put squirrels in here. We're gonna put squirrel food in here. And then you can play with the squirrels. How much should I put in it? I don't know. How many times do you want to fill it? Well, I can't fill it all the way cause when I go to put it back up there. Sure. Like half way? Go a little more than half. Go three quarters. Like that much? It's half way but whatever. Look it's cracked corn. Jamie's cracked corn. Oh wait. It's Jimmy's cracked corn. And it's Jimmy cracked corn. And I don't care. It smells like popcorn. Wanna smell? Smell? It does. Ta-da! So it looks like you'll feed about eight squirrels really really good for the next two days. Okay. So the majority of this stuff here is all like garage sale stuff. But everything back over here in the corner actually has to go somewhere. So what we're trying to accomplish is we're gonna put all that stuff away and we're gonna move all this stuff back there so that we can fit the Jeep in the garage so we can leave the top down if it rains. Right? This is not garage sale stuff. This is my bike. Yeah. That's my bike. Okay. So... We'll give you an update in a little bit. See how far we actually get considering it's so stinking hot out. Shelby? You can't see out the window from that chair. Shelby decided to come out here and sit in the chair. Is that what she wants? She wants to sit in her chair. We don't really have a place for your chairs. Look! We did it! How long did it take us? Not long. Maybe an hour. Hour and a half. Just don't look in our basement. This is stuff that stays here. Most of that stuff is garage sale stuff. Except my bike and everything on that table. And of course this sled. Yay! Now the Jeeps can fit in here. Well... At least one. Yay! Accomplishment! Coconut ice cream. This is pretty good. What did you get? Cherry amaretto. What did you get mom? Baby cone. Say hi to my audience. Where's dad? What did you get? Peanut butter. Who's gonna get butter? It tastes like Reese's butter. Does it? I haven't tried mine yet. I want to try mine. Here we are. I have ice cream stuck in my teeth. Waffle cone. Waffle cone stuck in your teeth. We came to the deli to have dinner. We ran into my mom and dad. We're making stuff from some trays we have to do tomorrow. They took us to the ice cream shop to get ice cream. It was really good. I had cherry amaretto. I showed them. I had Eskimo kisses. They had like coconut and chocolate. It was really good. I could eat a lot of that. Now we're gonna continue going for our ride. Camera. Oh yeah, I didn't show you guys that yet. We got the camera up there. The GoPro. We're playing around with it. Front? Yeah, front turns it on and then top. Okay. We'll show you guys at the end of the video. If any of that footage actually turns out. Into the sun right now. Yeah, that probably sucks. Probably looks like that. Look, Shiloh and Shelby. On leashes. We're taking the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. We haven't done that yet. We haven't actually like walked around and looked at all the houses. We figured the weather finally cooled off enough. We're going for a walk. I don't have any shoes on. Jamie has shoes on though. I have shoes. I just don't have them on. Oh look, a great Dane. There he is. He's barking at you. Shelby's like, that dog is talking to me. He is talking to you. Okay. I gotta hang up the phone. I gotta hang up the camera. Oh God, he got out. Oh look, he did. Look, the dog got out. I think we should probably take him home. Good boy. Come on, let's go home. Did you really open up your gate? Hey big dog. How's it going? Come on big dog. We safely returned the dog to the house behind us. He opened the gate all by himself. When we returned him, the guy goes, Oh yeah, he knows how to do that. I have to remember that when walking this way that that dog can open the gate. He was very friendly though, you guys saw. Alright, I'm gonna finish walking and then I think I'm gonna go home and edit this vlog and then maybe we'll watch a movie. So we'll see you guys. Hey look, there's our house. Way down there.
