Oh So we'll give this live stream a few seconds to Catch up here. Oh My goodness, so the question of the day from you guys for the past I don't know a couple of weeks has been when are you gonna get another dog? When are you getting a dog? Are you gonna get another dog? When are you gonna get another dog? Are you gonna get another dog Jesse? thank you for the super chat and the answer to the question is I Still have no idea. I don't know. I really don't know I I don't know If we're getting another dog when we're getting the dog if we're getting a puppy if we're getting an adult dog Will we rescue a dog? Will we get a puppy? I don't have an answer for you for that so to just get that right off the Right off the table there. I don't have an answer to that question. So ask me something. Oh And for anybody that's gonna say if you get another dog what kind of dog you're gonna get I'm not getting anything But another Siberian Husky end of discussion. You just answered the only question that I had My goodness That's Shelby's new favorite toy, by the way She picked it out the other day what we did a little meet-and-greet at our local pet store here Which is fun a couple of you guys came to that and Shelby picked that toy off the shelf How old are your dogs Shelby's 11 in Memphis is 5 Hi tail, how's it going? That's that's that's great tail How is Shelby doing and how is her foot Shelby's doing. Okay. She's actually she's not doing too bad her. She does still have the lump on her foot I think she's gonna have we're gonna oh really we're gonna wrestle. I think we're gonna go ahead and get the MRI done on it Sometime next month. We'll probably go downstate and get that done I think we talked with our really we talked with our vet the other day And kind of talked about what we should do and I think that's gonna be our next course of action My goodness, what are you doing? Really? What are you really? They're like mom's doing a live show let's wrestle well, I guess gotta make it exciting Hey, hey, okay. Well, yeah, y'all do you My life so far says are you still doing food exchange food from different place exchange? No, not really We haven't done those in a long time. No, I don't really know I mean realistically if it came down to it and that was what we ended up with that would be what we would end up With but we've always had girl dogs I don't know and now like we just kind of ended up with all girl dogs And now I'm kind of to the point where I'm like, no, I just I do I want another girl dog I like being able to save the girls. I Also like Farragut State Park here in Michigan. Those are probably my top two favorite locations Now they're gonna go around in circles behind me. Yes When there are Huskies in our area that need transport we do still transport dogs Just doesn't happen as much as it used to there's not a tough We're kind of in an area where there aren't as many so it doesn't happen as much as it does everywhere else You really want her to play with you Wow She really likes that toy though, Memphis. Apparently she doesn't I Did not see the name But somebody asked how much we feed the dogs each day our dogs eat a cup and a half of food every day Total so they eat three times a day and they eat half a cup of food each time Oh now you're gonna play with your toy too. So you play with your twinkle star and Shelby can play with her gross bone thing That smells like wool and leather. It's really gross. I heard you I heard you burp How many tricks do the girls know and who learned the fastest I think Shelby still knows the most but she's also 11 years old And out of the two of them, I think Memphis caught on to things faster, but she doesn't Do them as quickly as Shelby does does that make sense? So like if I told both of the dogs to sit it's gonna take Memphis longer to figure out than it is Shelby If that makes sense, oh, it's been 10 minutes. We should probably see if they want to sing. It's not actually that far from us It's only seven hours away and we would pretty much just leave New York and go straight to Toronto instead of coming home And then come home after that, but we haven't fully decided yet. They're not on 100% raw mainly because we travel a lot But they do get raw quite frequently Kitty lol, are you gonna get another dog? I answered that at the beginning of the video. We still don't know Andy we'll see you at the Pet Expo. Yeah, hopefully you won't get I want to see your new truck, too When you get down there We'll have to I'll have to take Memphis outside. What do you do for your dog's teeth? So We actually do quite a few things The biggest thing we've been doing lately is we let them have the primal raw Recreational bones. So what those are is those are the bones that aren't meant to be Completely chewed up into pieces. They're more meant to be chewed on for like 15 to 30 minutes at a time and that's it They're a little bit harder of a bone, which is why they're not supposed to ingest them Sarah thank you for the super chat. Thank you for the super chat so anyway, we do the primal raw bones and then we use It's called plaque off and it's like a little thing You can sprinkle on top of their food and we actually do that every day for them at dinner if you watched our What was it nighttime routine? I think it was the nighttime routine Strawberry lol, thank you for the super chat It kind of shows that plaque off stuff that we use but we kind of use a combination of both of those things and then We make sure that throughout the week like they do get bully sticks the primal raw bones and then Hard treats to help kind of clean their teeth So those are just a few of the things that we do to clean their teeth plus they get you know Toys that they chew on and things like that. Are we gonna do a Halloween costume video? Yes Friday you guys will get to see the Halloween costumes for the dogs I think I'm gonna show the one we bought for this year But I also think I'm gonna show some of the other ones we've had that may not have been in videos for quite a while Margo Margo, did it say thank you for the super chat. So that will go up Friday and the next week Tuesday the pumpkin spice doggy muffins video will go up We think Shelby you are you're just beautiful, you know that just like yeah, I know I know I'm beautiful Somebody said how date Ava Ava said how dangerous is chocolate for dogs You know, so chocolate for dogs is something that a lot of people don't understand it does This is a hard one This is something you should definitely talk to your veterinarian about more than you should me if your dog eats chocolate call your vet They will tell you whether or not you need to rush to the vet or make them vomit or what you need to do Chocolates bad for dogs period What are you guys looking at there's nothing out there the Sun went down the Halloween decorations are up out there we looking at Are you getting another dog? I could give you the answer that some people give you and I could say oh You'll get over it eventually no Shiloh passed away in 2013 Oakley passed away what two months ago. Yeah in two days. It'll be two months ago You you won't you won't ever get over it You'll always have feelings of sad at times and they'll always be moments that remind you and it's okay It's okay to be sad. It's okay to cry. Don't let it consume you Room where you have to realize that life does keep moving forward. Even if you're sad and Like, you know, we have other dogs. We have to take care of we have things that we have to continue to do even though we're sad, so You kind of just have to keep moving forward Just what you have to do Have you ever somebody said ocean spirit said have you ever thought about getting pet fish? No, no, I Could picture that being One of those things where we'd be gone and the next thing we'd come home and the fish would all be gone and the aquarium Would be shattered. Maybe if we put an aquarium in the basement but uh, I like fish Jamie and I used to have a couple cool fish, but No, no, no, can dogs have grapes no dogs have fruit sometimes How's the Alpena animal facility going for those of you that don't know We are on the board and helping with opening a new animal shelter in Alpena and small update on it We do have a building So there's a little small update We'll be able to announce the location of the building soon And I believe we'll be doing like a party at the building and I might be bringing the dogs when we do it so you guys will all be invited if you want to come up to the middle of nowhere, Michigan and And see what uh, see what's going on at our animal facility. How is So I'm assuming Even though this is very hard to understand that you don't walk your dog a lot So your dog's not getting enough exercise and they're not listening to you. Your dog's not listening to you Exercise they don't have enough mental stimulation So they're bored so they're gonna test you at every chance they get get they're gonna get into the trash They're gonna eat your couch. They're gonna tear things up You have to have to have to have to give them some type of mental Stimulations, it's not necessarily just exercise Somebody asked about new posters of the dogs. Yes. Once the ones we have sell out. We'll be doing new posters It's not just about exercise like exercise is not the only answer you can take your dog out and you can walk them around the block and I'm sorry, but that's fairly boring for them. I mean realistically you walk around the block How exciting is it? Especially when I walk around the same block all the time Take a different route run a little bit jog a little bit do something just a little bit different while you're out there on your Walk make them sit and stay make them jump over something. Like there's a lot of different things you can do to Really work your dog's brain and that's that's what you want to do You want to do more than just walk them you want to like give them that little bit of mental stimulation get some Puzzle toys play with puzzle toys with your dogs. There's definitely things you can do With your dogs to help them not be so Bored destructive you got to wear them out you have to Wait, is this snow dogs vlogs too? Yes. This is snow dogs vlogs too. I wear my dog out and he still doesn't listen to me Then you need to contact a trainer so you can learn how to work with your dog My dogs don't listen to me either only if there's food involved Oh Memphis was that a big sigh? There's a way to keep it under control Anybody has the secret of how to keep shedding under control? Could you totally share it with me because the shedding in this house is out of control So when it comes to shedding I mean we try to brush the dogs as often as we can I try to blow out their coats at minimum once a week and we vacuum by we I mean Jamie all the time Every day because you have to when you have huskies sometimes twice a day depending on how bad the shedding is at that point in time You just have to you have to do it. Somebody said Memphis is bored with us Memphis. Are you bored? She's like guys. I played with my birthday cake and I sang for you and now I see me. I see me Watch this Memphis. Are you hungry? I Know it's almost dinner time Almost dinner time. Um agility class actually starts up next week But we're not gonna be in it because we would only have been able to attend two weeks because of all the track Well, we would miss it because of Halloween and then we have so much traveling we're doing we would miss it So we're not gonna go to the class but We might do something else. We haven't decided yet How did I teach my dog to sing? So a funny story Memphis still hasn't learned how to sing on command without Shelby But Shelby learned to sing on command because I made a video where I made her sing with the harmonica and then I played that video many times to get her to sing and then eventually she would hear my voice and I would say it just like I did in the video and I would say do you want to sing for everybody? Notice how her ears immediately look at me. She knows what that is because she's heard it so many times in that video Shelby do you want to sing for everybody? Can you sing for everybody? Sing Somebody just said that they noticed something in today's video on Oakley's kennel I wanted to know if it was new if you missed the mail video that we did This might be what you noticed You see that?
