Jamie and I had some things to run around and do in hopes of going out of town for the weekend! We had to take his Jeep to get the wheels balanced (bouncing around in the woods can knock things loose). Then we went out for lunch at the deli, but I didn't actually film while I was there. We were just busy talking. Then I took my Jeep to get it washed and tried to find a Metal Pooper scooper, which is harder to find then you would think! I spent a bit of the afternoon cleaning up the mess after the melt, and it was a mess! We made some Taco Pizza for dinner, and then watched some TV and played with the dogs a bit! Good morning girls. I think your sister's in trouble.
Thanks for liking and subscribing to Snow Dogs Vlogs.
So this is how much snow melted overnight.
Quite a bit of the yard is
no longer snow.
Some of it is solid ice. We're gonna go find Memphis. You know, I'm pretty sure that your daddy just fixed this.
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure. You are so muddy.
You're bad.
What are you doing?
Memphis.
Into the shower. You're going to get your feet winced off.
She's like, no, I think I'm gonna stay back here and dig this hole some more. That'll be great. Look at me.
Oh my gosh, your face.
Show them your feet.
Your feet.
Memphis hates this too. She's like, don't do it.
Don't scrub my feet. I hate it.
Yeah, I know you want to drink it. You just don't want it to touch your feet.
Oh Memphis.
I'll never understand why people get so excited for spring, right?
Flowers.
Look at you.
So this is a every spring thing.
Muddy dog feet. Muddy dog feet. Muddy dog feet.
This one just makes it... whoops, there she is. Super exciting.
This one at our old house used to be super bad, but she's not so bad here.
But still, muddy dog feet.
Oh my gosh, you got my Jeep all dirty.
It's uh...
Look at that. Yeah, like it's like two-tone now. If you look at it from right here,
we've got this like light brown going on with the mineral gray.
This is it. My rims aren't even... that's ridiculous. It's so dirty.
And then yours is all crammed back there in the corner, but look at how clean it is.
Look at my hood.
So crazy.
So I wanted to give you guys a proper update on Shiloh's lilac bush.
Some of you were asking about it. If you're new, this is a lilac bush
we planted shortly after Shiloh passed away.
We planted it here because I don't know why, but we did.
Well, they trampled it some, but lilacs are a very resilient plant.
You see it got cracked a few times.
So hopefully it survived. As soon as this ground thaws though,
I think we're gonna move it.
Because this is a new power pole they put in and this is the old power pole.
So you can see how far away we had it.
So, but I think it might survive.
Look you guys, the camper.
So we put the camper away last fall.
We come over and we check on it and everything, you know, throughout the winter.
Make sure no water is leaking in or whatnot.
There's a chance we want to take it somewhere this weekend.
So we came out here to check on it.
Apparently, I don't know which one it is. Jamie does.
But one of the tires has a bulge in it, which is normal for a camper that kind of sits.
So we're gonna have to replace at least one of the tires this year.
So that's part of our project for today.
So anyway, there's the tires and one of them has, what did you call it? A bulge?
Yeah, it's a big bulge.
A bulge and part of that happens because it sits and the sun beats on it and the tires don't move as much.
We finally got these tire covers this year.
So hopefully once we replace these tires, it won't happen so much.
It's part of what we're doing today.
There aren't that many miles on these tires.
They have a lot of tread.
Yeah.
Well, I gotta get the size off it so we know, so we can get a price check.
Since the Jeep was so dirty, I decided to take it to the car wash.
We actually took Jamie's Jeep to get his tires balanced because the Jeep was still a little wonky and his tires were off balance.
So he said it rides a lot smoother now and then we went out to lunch and now he's headed home.
I came to wash the car.
Then I gotta go to Tractor Supply and buy a new pooper scooper because mine froze in the winter time and broke and everything's melting.
Which means all the mines are showing up again.
Wow, that's probably really loud in the camera.
It's really loud in here.
Well, I think the clean lasted five minutes.
Didn't last that long.
So, two things.
One, we live in Northern Michigan and it gets cold.
Plastic tends to fall apart when left out.
Not even just left out, it gets real cold.
It gets real brittle in the winter time.
So one, we live in Northern Michigan.
Two, spring is right around the corner.
I've been to five stores in Alpena.
Five, nobody has a metal pooper scooper.
Nobody.
People wonder why I order stuff online.
That's why.
Nobody has what I want.
I don't want a plastic one because it's gonna break the last one.
So, I guess I might be stuck ordering one online.
Which means I won't have it today.
Which means starting to clean up the yard is gonna be a pain until it gets here.
But, I have a little metal rake that I think I'm gonna use for now.
Fun.
I just couldn't believe that.
I even went to our new pet store and he's like,
Yeah, I had a bunch of them and they sat all winter long.
And I'm like, well that's because nobody goes outside in the winter and cleans up.
That's often nice to do in the summer.
I'm like, you should have been prepared for spring.
So, anyway, couldn't find one.
Now I'm on my way home.
Memphis, what happened to your hole again?
Did daddy come back here with the snow blower and move a bunch of snow off it so it'll melt?
So we can start cleaning up back here?
You can actually see right there how deep the snow back here is.
We don't get a lot of sun back here so it takes the longest for it to melt back here.
But Jamie snow blowed over top of her hole and then pounded all the dirt in and filled it in again.
So, we'll see if it works.
I doubt it will.
But, I guess we could try.
Are you helping me make dinner?
She's like, no I was hoping you were making dinner for me.
No, I'm making taco pizza for your dad and I, sorry.
Mmm, we're gonna make taco pizza.
Taco pizza is super easy too.
All you need is a tortilla shell, some beans, some meat if you want it, some cheese, some salsa, some chips.
And we don't have any, but you could use lettuce and tomato too.
We're gonna make taco pizza.
Alright, going in the oven.
The only thing I do after this is add tortilla chips to the top of it.
I don't like doing it before I cook it, but throwing them in the oven.
Mmm, taco pizza.
Did you do that last time too?
No.
No?
I didn't.
Ooh, jalapeno sauce.
Sauce!
I gotta cut mine still.
Looks so good.
Oh gosh.
That might be spicy.
I gotta cut mine still.
So now, what we learned from the last time we made this, is even though it smells amazing and we're really hungry, we can't eat it right away.
Because we burned the roof of our mouth.
Don't burn the roof of your mouth.
I think we both did that, made that mistake last time.
Yep, we both like, both of us burned the very top part.
But we didn't burn our tongues.
But it was hot.
It's the bean sauce stuff.
You know what I did this time different?
Because there wasn't a whole lot of salsa left, I mixed it right in the beans and it made it more easy to spread.
I'm gonna eat salsa first.
Ooh, Diablo salsa.
Made in Michigan.
Girls, you can't have any. It's spicy.
Shelby's like, but I think I can.
Dad, your chair's going down.
Letting the girls out before bed.
And seriously, I wasn't kidding.
Look at how much less snow.
Even from earlier.
Look at all the green.
This is just nuts.
Just crazy.
Yeah, I would say by Friday it'll be almost all gone.
Considering today's what? Wednesday?
There's still quite a bit there and there.
Because that gets the least amount of sun.
And way in the back doesn't get much sun.
But all of this is pretty much...
Bye winter.
We will miss you.
Where's Oakley? I hope she didn't come out.
Oh, I hear her.
Did you just come down those steps?
Did you just realize we were out here?
Come on out, babe.
Did you just realize we were out here?
She's like, hey guys, I just realized you came outside.
I was kind of sleeping.
Hey look, the tennis ball is no longer under the snow.
Oakley, you want to tell everybody goodnight?
Tell everybody goodnight right now?
Don't worry, I'll let you in before you have to go to bed.
We're gonna end it, you guys.
Goodnight Pawdience!
