Jason Kelce talks retirement, NFL Draft and Eagles future during visit to Rowan University

Now to an Action News exclusive. Super Bowl champion Jason Kelsey is sharing his football expertise and wowing fans at Rowan College tonight with his legendary charm and insights into the Philadelphia Eagles. All of this comes as the NFL draft is just two days away. Action News reporter Leland Pender is in Glassboro, New Jersey with the story. Jason Kelsey welcomed like a rock star here on Rowan University's campus tonight. He talked to students about his football journey ultimately leading him to spend his entire career in Philadelphia. And he also talked about life now in retirement. Rowan University rolled out the red carpet for Jason Kelsey on campus Tuesday. The Eagles legend spoke with students about his journey long before becoming a household name. So I assume you go out every day and you just hear people say Jason Kelsey and then you get a big applause. Now retired, Kelsey is firmly into his next chapter as a podcast host and ESPN NFL analyst with his focus turning to the NFL draft right now just days away. It's going to be chaotic. Things are going to happen that no one sees coming. We're going to add some new teammates here in Philadelphia. It should be very exciting. Kelsey was also asked about A.J. Brown who's widely expected to be traded. I think A.J. is a great player where if he is moved, the Eagles will miss him. And he's not the reason that the offense wasn't good last year. The former All-Pro center spent 13 seasons with the Eagles helping deliver the franchise's first Super Bowl win in 2018. The team returns to the big game in 2023 falling to the Kansas City Chiefs led by his brother Travis. Even in retirement though, Kelsey remains a passionate ambassador for Philadelphia's sports culture even outside of football. If you play hockey all out, it's just such a fun sport to watch and the Flyers are definitely making Philadelphia proud through two games right now. Before the talk, Kelsey met with Roman sports communication and media students and the football team, leaving students with this advice. And enjoy every second of this because once it's gone, even I played in the NFL for 13 years, nothing replicates being in college and that experience. Kelsey said this was his first time here at Rowan but he plans to come back for a football game and that certainly got a lot of cheers from the crowd.
