And welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere. It's me,
Pastor Anastasia, and I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our
best friend, Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Brazil,
where my friend, Lais, has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Listen in.
It's impossible to say everything it means to me. Show me I turn the stars. Everything to me is
shining. Thanks, Lais. That was amazing. Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your
gifts and talents with Jesus, please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me,
and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Then you are right on time for another adventure with Ranger Zay. We never know what or who we'll
be learning about each day, so I'm excited to learn more about God's creation. You're excited
like I'm excited. Well, you'll just have to come along with me. Hi, boys and girls. Welcome back
to Night Stereotype. My name is Ranger Zay, your favorite wildlife ranger. Today, we're going to
be learning about the dodo bird. Dodo birds live a long time ago on an island called Mauritius.
The dodo bird was big. The dodos were about three feet tall, with blue-gray feathers, small wings,
and soft yellow legs. The dodo bird could not fly, and they were not scared of people. But
people hunted the dodo bird. They also brought animals, pigs and rats, that ate the dodo bird.
A, because of this, the dodo bird became extinct. Extinct means there are no dodo birds left
anywhere, not even in a zoo. The Bible says in Genesis 1 verse 28, the Lord God put people in
first off the earth. This teaches us that our choices matter. God wants us to take care of our
home, the earth, and all its inhabitants. The dodo bird extinction reminds us to be careful,
to be kind, and to take care of what God made before it is gone. Hi, thanks for exploring with
me. See you next time. Bye! It's so sad to hear the dodo birds are extinct, but I'm so happy that
we made it back just in time to check in on our friend Taraj. I wonder how our week's going. Let's
go! It's not fair, Pastor Anastacia. What's not fair? Can you believe my teacher took points off
my math homework just because I didn't do it the way she said? Just because she couldn't see the
working? It's not fair! I get it, Taraj. Sometimes it's not that we don't want to do what we're told
to do. We just don't want to do it in the way we're told to do it. But I have some news for you.
When we are disobedient and don't follow instructions, oftentimes that leads to us
missing out on the good things that God has in store for us. Wait a minute! That reminds me of
our theme for this week, which simply says, Don't Miss the Miracle. Let me hear my friend Grayson
say it. Don't miss the blessing! And our memory verse is found in 2 Kings 5 verse 14, and it
simply says, He went down and dipped himself, and his flesh was restored. Let me hear my friend
So he went down and dipped himself, and his flesh was restored. 2 Kings 5 verse 14. But Pastor
Anastacia, what does that have to do with me losing my point on my homework? Great question,
Taraj. That reminds me of someone in the Bible who almost missed his miracle because he didn't
like the instructions. Let me tell you this story. Naaman was a strong soldier, great leader, and a
very important man. But Naaman had a big problem. He had an awful disease called leprosy. When
Naaman's servant girl told him God could heal him, he went to see the prophet Elisha. Naaman expected
the prophet would tell him to do something brave and courageous. But when Elisha simply asked him
to go wash in the Jordan River seven times, Naaman was upset. It was too simple, but thankfully he
didn't miss his miracle. After being obedient and following the prophet's instructions to dip
in the Jordan River one, two, three, four, five, six, seven times, God healed him. What a miracle!
Thank goodness he didn't miss his miracle. Wow! So Naaman almost missed the whole miracle
just because he didn't like God's way? Um, kind of reminds me about those points I lost.
That's right, Taraj. Sometimes God's instructions don't always look the way we expect. But the good
news is obedience to God always leads to a blessing. So don't miss your miracle.
