It's me, Pastor Anastasia, and I'm so super-duper excited that you join me today as we learn
more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States, where my friend
Ava has prepared a beautiful song just for us.
Let's listen in!
God is so good.
He's so good to me.
Thanks, Ava! That was amazing!
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus, please
ask your parents or guardians to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Well, you know that sound, everybody!
It's nature time!
And I can't wait to find out what our friend Ryan from Canada has for us today.
It's always such a treat.
Hello, boys and girls, and welcome again to Nature Time at Graceville.
Today, we're going to be talking about donkeys.
Let's tune in!
Male donkeys are called jacks, and female donkeys are called jennies or jeanettes.
They are strong and can live for more than 50 years.
Donkeys have big heads and large ears that keep them cool.
They may not look majestic like horses, but they are very intelligent.
These animals are mostly loving and friendly, and they are not easily startled like horses.
Donkeys also have a very good memory.
They can recognize people or animals that they haven't seen for years.
Some people think donkeys are stubborn, but they're only trying to protect themselves from danger.
Donkeys are the original beasts of burden because for centuries, they helped many people all around the world.
They carry heavy loads and travel long distances without complaining.
Donkeys are stubborn because they're trying to protect themselves.
Our friends can also think that we're stubborn because we don't do what they want us to do.
Ephesians chapter 5 verse 15 says,
So be very careful how you live.
Do not live like those who are not wise.
Live wisely.
Bye, boys and girls, thanks for tuning in.
See you next time!
There you are! Just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder what she's up to today.
Well, let's find out!
Hey, Pastor Anastasia.
How do you know when you're making the right decision?
Right decision? About what?
Well, my friend invited me to a pool party next week.
But I'm having second thoughts because her parents are going to be there.
It's supposed to be a secret.
Shh!
But what if something bad happens?
Hmm.
Whenever I'm struggling with a decision, I turn to God's word for guidance.
We can never go wrong when we listen to His voice and follow His instructions.
Wait a minute!
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says,
Obey God's voice!
Let me hear my friend Ariane say it.
Obey God's voice.
And our memory verse is found in Jeremiah 7 verse 23.
And it simply says, Obey my voice and I will be your God.
Let me hear my friend Matthias in Canada say it.
Obey my voice and I will be your God. Jeremiah 7 verse 23.
Great job everyone!
Wait! Does the Bible actually talk about Katie's party?
The Bible gives us guidelines to know right from wrong.
Like, it tells us absolutely nothing good comes from lies and deception.
So, don't ignore your conscience like the guy in our story did,
whose donkey had to speak up in order to save him when he refused to obey God's voice.
Can you guess what today's story is about?
A talking donkey? Now I hear it all.
Let me check my Bible.
Found it! It's Balaam.
That's right Sam! Today's story is about Balaam!
When the king of Moab learned that the Israelites were headed in their direction,
he devised an evil plan to destroy them.
He invited Balaam, a man believed to have magical powers to curse them.
Eager to receive the king's money, Balaam accepted, even though he knew it was wrong.
Move! Move!
He shouted, but the donkey refused.
Angrily, Balaam hit the donkey.
Why did you strike me? I was only trying to save you from danger.
The donkey said.
Balaam did not even realize the donkey was actually talking until suddenly an angel with sword drawn appeared.
Today, you would have been killed by your donkey's actions saved you.
Immediately, Balaam recognized his sin and determined to obey God's voice.
Wowzers! I better follow my conscience and skip Kitty's party before my dog Rocco starts talking.
LOL! Great decision!
Remember we are safest and blessed when we obey God's voice.
