Hey boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you've joined me today as we learn more
about our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Kenya
where my friend Alexina has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
Awesome! Boys and girls remember if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share with our friends.
Hey you know that sound it's nature time and I am so excited because our friend Ryan from Canada
always has something special up his sleeve. He always has something fun and exciting
or something for us to meet. So let's join him. Come along with me.
Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville. Today we're going to be
talking a bit about gills. Let's tune in. One year my dad and I went on a school trip to see some
amazing sea creatures. There were jellyfish, horseshoe crabs, sharks, and a whole lot more.
As I admired how they moved I thought about how breathing underwater works. Land creatures have
lungs that allow them to breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Well gills help sea
creatures to do the same thing. The gills on fish are located in two cavities of the size of their
heads. Small vessels called capillaries collect oxygen and carry it throughout their bodies.
Some sea creatures like sea slugs carry their gills on the outside. They collect oxygen as
they move through the water. Job chapter 33 verse 4 says, the spirit of God has made me
and the breath of the almighty gives me life. Isn't it wonderful to know that God gave humans
lungs and fish gills to keep his breath moving through our bodies? His breath is life. Bye boys
and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time. And we're back. Just in time to check in on Melissa.
I hope she had a really good week. Well let's check in with her. Let's go. Hey Pastor Anastasia.
I was just here thinking about what happened this week. Whoa, you sound really serious.
Yeah, Brandon ended up getting suspended for saying mean things to our teacher. It was awful.
He shouldn't have done that. I totally agree. It breaks God's heart when we're disrespectful and
unkind to others. But it really honors God when we show respect to our teachers, parents, and leaders.
Wait a minute. That reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says, always be respectful.
Let me hear my friend Jaleah in the Turks and Caicos Islands say it. Always be respectful. And
our memory verse is found in 1 Peter 2 verse 17. And it simply says, show proper respect to everyone.
Love the family of believers. Let me hear my friend Jaden Lee in New York say it.
1 Peter 2 verse 17 says, show respect to everyone. Love the family of believers. Great job everyone.
One thing that I learned this week is that being disrespectful only gets you into more trouble.
That's so true. Bad choices never lead to anything good. That's why today's story is about a prophet
who was disrespected by a group of young men who were severely punished. Can you guess what today's
story is about? Disrespectful young men severely punished. Hmm. This must be the story about
Elisha and the young men who teased him. That's right my friends. Today's story is about Elisha.
Elisha was very well known as a prophet, miracle worker, and man of God. He earned the respect of
people as they witnessed God's power at work in his life. Unfortunately, as he traveled through
Bethel, he was met with unusual cruelty and disrespect. A group of young men started to tease
him. They kept on taunting him by shouting out mean things because he was bald. Elisha was very hurt
because he had done nothing to offend them. Their disrespectful behavior displeased God so much
that they were cursed. Not long after, two female bears came out of the woods and mauled 42 of the
young men. Their punishment was a clear sign that God does not want us to disrespect each other.
Wowzers! Eaten by bears? Thank goodness Brandon only got suspended. Well, the message is surely
clear today. Always be respectful. Most definitely. So, let's demonstrate God's love to
everyone by being respectful at all times.
