Another Project! And HALLOWEEN Decorating! - 10/11/11

I just got home from work and I remembered I wanted to show you guys the next project. Yes, I realized the floor in the kitchen and the dining room is not done yet, but I figured I better show you this because I already started it and I forgot to take pictures and video. So here goes. This is the room I am currently working on the basement. That is oil that spilled on the floor over there. We're actually going to have to paint the floor. We've tried a bunch of stuff to get it up, but it's actually down in the floor. And then these cabinets, I've already washed once. Washed the cabinets, washed the counters, did all that. We gotta get a new spigot for the faucet here, but this room here is going to be our pumpkin carving room. So I have a lot of work to do down here still. I, like I said, I've started some of it. I've started washing the cabinets and getting them ready to paint. I have all the paint. There's some, there's some more upstairs. Look, here's some of my Halloween stuff. My witch hat, some of my pumpkins, fake pumpkins. That's probably one of my favorite patterns. Zombiepumpkins.com. Love, love, love, love, love that site. Another, and then more. Another fake pumpkin down there. Some fake lights, strobe lights. I just took some stuff outside to put out in the yard. There's more cool stuff over there. But this is the room I'm slowly working on. I have to, I washed these walls here. I have to move that stuff and finish washing the walls. We're not actually going to paint these walls this year. Mainly because we might end up changing out, because this isn't even dry wall. It's like wood. So we're not going to paint these walls. I have something really cool to go on the wall over here, which I'll show you guys when I get it up. But I am going to paint all of this back there. Not that wall. All of that back there. Cabinets, all that stuff. That is in the floor. That is what I'm slowly working on. We really slammed at work today, so I'm tired. Um, I don't know how much of this I'm going to get done. My goal today is to get all of these cabinet doors off of here. All the cabinet doors off, all the hardware off, and I have to rewash the doors because I've gone over them once, but I'd like to go over them again. And then maybe get the first coat of paint on, but I doubt it. But we'll see how far I get tonight. There's a lot to do down here. And I have to get it all done before Halloween. Before the week before Halloween. So I literally have like two weeks left to get all this done. So that's what I'm doing. Jamie's outside cutting grass. I'll show you the stuff I put outside. Before I go outside, I'll show you guys some of the tombstones. We made these, I don't know, five or six years ago. We've got more over there. Um, they're all made out of that pink foam board and then we dremeled them all out and rode on them. This one broke a couple years ago, but we managed to repair it. It's probably my favorite one. That was the most ornamental decorative piece we did. Um, but I have a whole bunch of these. I think I have eight total that'll go out in the yard this year. I was hoping that we would be making a few more, um, bigger tombstones this year. So I can kind of do a video showing you guys how we actually did these because they're really easy. They're really fun to do. I mean, we didn't get too decorative with the paint on ours. We kind of made ours just kind of bland gray, but there's so many different things you can do. And I, I wanted to do that. I wanted to make a spider web this year and I wanted to make a big giant scarecrow this year because I have a big pole, telephone pole out front that I wanted to attach them to. Will we get to all of it? I have no idea. We'll see. But I got my window cans and my window cans aren't going to fit in this window. So I'm not going to show you guys those because hopefully I'll have time to at least make two new ones of those this year. Hopefully. Anyway, now we'll go outside. My neighbor's dog is barking. We slowly started bringing her Halloween stuff out here. I got pumpkins there. I got my little tea light pumpkin holders. I got these pumpkins that my grandpa made. I have some more ideas for some stuff made out of wood like that. I'd like to do Jack and Sally real big and stand them up right here, right? Yeah, no. I got a spider, but no spider web. I need a spider web. We could do white lights too. I have a bunch of those. Jamie's going to untangle some of my lights. Some more pumpkins and we got two more of them. I'll show you these. More pumpkins here. So slowly but surely it's starting to look like Halloween around here. Slowly but surely. We have lights. We have lights in the trees. We have lights on our bushes. So now we're more ready for Halloween. Jamie added the scary ghost to the tree. Cool. Halloween lights and Halloween bushes. Pretty cool. Yay. It's like 10 30 at night. I forgot to bring my camera down here while we were actually working and then we were working, so I didn't go back upstairs and get it, but look what Jamie and I did. Ta-da. Took all the doors off. We got all vacuumed. Everybody knows. Got a little bit cleaned out under there. Now I have to like spray inside there and clean all the insides. I'm not painting the insides of the cabinets and mainly not painting the insides of the cabinets. The cabinets. Mainly not painting the insides of the cabinets because of the color that they're gonna be. I don't think the insides of the cabinets would look good in the color we're painting. I also don't really think that that backsplash and counter are gonna look okay, but that'll be fine. Whatever. That'll be fine. We'll figure it out. So yay. That's what we did. We got that far. We need to quit. We've had two really, really, really busy days at work. I'm still in my work clothes. My dad's gone hunting. I think I said this in a vlog already, but my dad's gone hunting and my aunt went back to Arizona, so we're technically kind of short-staffed right now, which it's been making for long days. We've been having big orders on deli trays and stuff like that, so it's been a little bit crazy, but I'm gonna go get out of my work clothes, take a shower, and answer some comments on my vlogs and the dogs channel, hopefully. Then I'm going to bed because it's like 10 30 at night and I have to get up and go to work again tomorrow. Yay! Oh yeah, and this room still looks like this, but if you look this way, it's really pretty. Yay! I hear feets. Oh, you're shy though. What are you doing, shy? Shelby's sleeping in the hallway. What are you doing? You're not in your chair. Didn't you put the bone in your spot? Here, you have your spot back. Silly girl. 90. Yeah, somebody had to put it all back in the machine. Yeah, we should have just left. I was ready to leave as soon as I had 90 bucks extra in my hand. I was down 40.
