Good morning!
Shiloh and Shelby in the camper.
We made it. We're here.
It's raining. Well...
It's almost raining.
Jamie and Greg are putting up the awning on the camper.
We're here. It's humid and hot,
but it's supposed to get cold by tomorrow.
I'll show you guys the lake.
Lake Gogebic.
Something like that.
I never say it right. I think it's Gogebic.
There's a boat out there. It's a really big lake, but it's foggy.
Hopefully, we'll get better pictures
of it later when it's not so foggy.
Well, we're almost ready. We're getting ready
to go to... I guess, we're going to Wisconsin.
We're going to Wakefield first. Then, we'll go to Wisconsin.
Don't worry.
We'll bring you with us.
I missed the sign, but we just crossed the state line.
We are now in Wisconsin.
Look!
It looks like Michigan.
We are officially
in Wisconsin. We're going...
We're actually going to Wisconsin.
Then, we got to turn up a road that's going to take us
back into Michigan
to go see some waterfalls.
Then, we're going to go find more waterfalls in Wisconsin.
So far, the weather is looking
pretty nice.
I wonder...
I wonder if he doesn't know it's there.
He probably doesn't know it's there.
Look! This is Saxon Falls.
You'll notice
we don't have the dogs with us
because
we had to climb down that cliff
to get down here.
Sometimes, if we
can't get the dogs down
since they're not that far back, we left them in the Jeep
because Shiloh and Shelby are not coming
down that hill.
We have to go back up it.
This is Saxon Falls.
This is a Michigan waterfall.
Jamie's pulling rocks
out of these holes.
Sometimes, you can find some really cool ones.
We're looking for some agates.
Look at that thing moving!
What the hell is it?
What is it?
It looks like a water cricket.
Ah!
There's multiple ones!
It's a girl!
Jamie's throwing bugs at us.
This time, we got Shiloh and Shelby with us.
Shelby's carrying her waters.
Shiloh is way up there with Rebecca.
Look! There's some cliffs.
This is Lake Superior.
Wow! It really turned out to be
a beautiful day.
Shiloh's in Lake Superior.
It's Lake Superior!
Shelby's in Lake Superior.
This is
Superior Falls.
There's all these really
big cliffs over here.
There's a size comparison.
That's Rebecca.
There's
the falls.
Look at Geocache!
It was in the woods behind us.
Michigan's most
western point.
That's Michigan.
That's Wisconsin.
I don't have a pen.
Uh-oh! Can't sign the log book.
We were here.
I have video to prove it.
Leave the path tag.
We're walking!
We are going to...
What was it? Potato Falls. I already forgot.
We're going to
Potato Falls on the Potato River
in Wisconsin.
We're hiking this trail
to the waterfall.
I hear a cicada.
It must mean it's hot.
This is Potato Falls.
We made it! We had to climb and cross the river.
There's Jamie.
Over here. We made it!
Potato Falls
in Wisconsin.
There's Jamie.
Playing in the waterfall.
I don't know why he feels like
he has to do that.
Kind of a size reference for you though.
If you can hear me.
There's Jamie.
Way over there. There's the waterfall.
To get back to that waterfall we were just at.
We had to cross this river.
We took our shoes off.
Jamie fell in. Jamie is building us a bridge
back across the water.
This is not...
I can't breathe.
This is not the only set of steps.
There's quite a few more
sets of steps
above this
to get to the top.
I hate steps.
Waterfall is worth it, but I hate
long steps.
Long way to go.
Look! Another waterfall.
I guess it would be
Upper Potato Falls.
We're still at that potato place?
Yeah! We're still at the potato place.
On the Potato River.
Hey look! It's one of those signs
I hate. It's ok for screaming
kids, but it's not ok for my well behaved
dogs. This trail sucks.
We're in Wisconsin at their
state park and they don't allow dogs on this trail.
We have to hike this trail really fast.
We had to leave the dogs in the Jeep, which I hate.
There's a waterfall
down there.
Copper Falls.
In Wisconsin.
Look! It's Brownstone Falls.
This is Copper Falls
from the other side of the trail.
We're on our way to
Morgan Falls.
Walking through the woods.
We're up here at
Morgan Falls, is it?
Yeah, I think so too.
This is the pathway they have through the woods.
How far back did
Jess say it was? I don't know.
I know the observation tower was like 3.6
miles, but we're not going that far.
I was going to say 3.6 miles.
You can see this is probably why it's bear country
out here.
Nice hills.
There's no bear. I ain't running.
That's why you make noise
when you're walking.
If they're around, they'll know
that you're here and they'll keep their
distance. You might hear them
rustling away from you or something.
But even at that, that'd be cool.
I wouldn't mind seeing something at a distance.
Yeah, not up close.
The girls have the dogs ahead of us,
so they'll be fine.
But I really like this trail. I like all the
pretty overgrowth.
And the ferns and everything.
There's Morgan Falls.
From way
up there.
And it goes all
the way down
into that pool and then into this
little pool.
And then it goes down into that pool.
Why do boys have to
climb everything?
You see them way up there?
They climbed way
up to the top of that waterfall.
And I bet they still can't see
anything.
What are we gonna do with them?
We made it to Wren Falls!
Way down
there.
There's Shelby and Shiloh.
We're at yet another
waterfall.
What did you see, Jamie?
A black bear. Second one.
We saw a bear
on the way up here in the dark yesterday.
Of course we didn't get it on video,
because it was like, bear! And that was it. It was gone.
And same thing happened just now.
I didn't see it. Jamie was the only one that saw it.
But we think we may have gotten it
on the GoPro. So we're gonna
check when we get back to camp and see if we actually
got it. Because we had the GoPro on because we were on this
really cool, bouncy road
back to a waterfall. So we may have
gotten it on the GoPro.
We'll find it.
Now we're gonna watch for more bears.
Check it out! A river!
There's a road.
There's a river.
There's a road.
We're heading to another waterfall and we can either
go five miles... Ow! Bug!
Go five miles back that way
or we can cross the road right here.
And we do have a jeep.
Yeah?
It's gonna have to go through it twice because I ain't walking across this river.
That's what jeeps are for!
Foster Falls!
We're starting
to lose sunlight. We've got this waterfall
and one more to see.
Good thing we didn't have to
go back five miles on that other road
because that would have sucked.
Here we go!
This is Foster Falls.
Yet another waterfall!
Yay!
We're losing daylight.
There's Rebecca down there
on a rock.
Taking a picture. Scratching.
Yeah, not all of us are
six feet tall.
Running out of daylight.
This is Upson Falls at the
Upson Park.
Very cute waterfall.
Just a little one.
Wrong button.
I hit record. Check out the sunset.
I didn't mean to hit record but
hey, check out the sunset.
Apparently we like cooking when it's dark.
See?
It's dark.
But Greg's got that flashlight which we can't see.
Ah!
And I've got my droid light.
It's a shaker.
So it's gonna help because the battery died on that.
Jamie wouldn't let me stop at Walmart and buy a new one.
Look!
We're gonna make pizza.
We have pizza crust.
I almost called it pie crust.
It's pizza crust.
It was in the fridge.
What we're gonna do is,
we're gonna put pizza crust down on these awesome pie irons.
Then we're gonna put sauce on them
and cheese. Then we're gonna close them up
and we're gonna cook them over the fire.
It's nice that I have this droid light
because I can video in the dark.
Alright, here's the yummy delicious part.
I know.
I was stealing your line.
Don't drop it on the ground.
Put the pizza crust in there.
Don't put too much filling in there.
Like Greg did. Pepperoni.
It makes a shadow.
That one needs more cheese.
Does it? Just a little bit.
You're right.
Anyway, we're gonna put all this together.
Fold up the pie irons.
Stick them on the fire.
Yum yum yum yum.
There's Shiloh.
She's tired.
She did good today.
We did a lot of hiking.
There's Shelby.
I don't have food Shelby.
I just have my phone, I swear.
You just ate a whole bowl of food.
Alright, I'll get you a biscuit.
You deserve a biscuit.
Camping doggies.
There we are.
Never put the clip down there.
Cooking over the fire.
That's the best way to have dinner while camping.
Look.
Finished product.
Pizza. Pizza.
Pizza.
Yum yum. Pizza on the fire.
Hot. Yeah, it's hot.
Rebecca, it's hot.
Look, Red-Eyed Dog.
We're driving along.
