Good morning world! Welcome to our odyssey! We have exciting new news. Have a look!
Hi, I'm Lavi and this is Oli. Over the past four years we have been on some epic adventures around
the world. Now, after converting an old van into our new home on wheels, we are ready to hit the
road and explore the wonders of Europe. Click the subscribe button to follow our journey and let the
adventure begin. Look at this! Our new vehicle for our next adventure. This is Red Tornado.
So, Red Tornado is a 2002 Peugeot Expert van which used to be a
disabled van. You can see in the back here that it has a ramp
which we aren't going to keep. Let's take you on a tour.
So, this is us inside and at the moment there's a huge open space in the middle
which is where the wheelchair would have been. So, you can see there's going to be ample room
for a bed in here. Look, this is an example of what you'll look like. So, it's enough space
definitely for us to sleep. Yeah, but we will build a bed frame. It's not going to be on the ground.
Red Tornado has 112,000 miles on the clock. It's a 2.4 litre diesel. So, I don't know much about
engines but I've been told that that is still okay. And the best thing about it, we bought it
for 550 pounds. 550 pounds. That is a bargain. So, Red Tornado has a sliding door on both sides.
So, look at that airflow. Look at that. So, what's next for Red Tornado? So, first we have to take
out the chair. We have to take out the disabled ramp because as cool as that is, we just don't
need it. We have to take out all of the sort of seat belt apparatus from the inside. This one,
this one, that one and that one. Yeah, basically. So, we end up with a big clean space in the middle.
We're gonna keep this chair here. So, if you need a ride at one point, you have two spare seats. Yes,
that is another awesome thing about Red Tornado is that if we come into the cab here,
you can see we've got the driver's seat and two passenger seats in the front which is not that
big. We're gonna have space for us too plus two guests at any time. So, you're more than welcome.
Next steps for Red Tornado, take out the seat, take out the disabled ramp, take out all the
seat belt apparatus and then give it a nice, nice clean. A big, big clean. Yes. And we'll
see from there. So, let's get to it. It's not been done in a long time. Yeah. Nearly out. Come on,
oh yeah. Oh, look. Yes.
Do we need a chair for something? Oh my god, that was really hard.
All right. Awesome.
Oh yeah, that was a bit tougher than we thought. But we have taken out the chair.
Look at this. Oh yeah. Taking out the chair and here the spare straps could take everything off.
Yeah, we left in these things. Maybe we will use them. Some sort of, I don't know,
rack or basket or something. It's looking very nice and open now. That's awesome. So,
our next step is to clean everything. Let's get going with that.
So,
good morning. It is day two of our van build and today we just finished off all the little bits,
so we can finally show you the full clean van.
That is nice. You can eat from the floor. So, now that the van is nice and clean,
the next step for us is to tint the windows. We're going to tint all of the back section here.
We bought on Amazon something called black glass and it says it's limo tint 5%.
So, I don't know how dark it's going to be, but it should give us some privacy and yeah,
we're going to give it a go. We have no idea how to put this on the windows. So,
we're just going to watch an instructional video online and then give it a go. Yeah, wish us luck.
Window tinting experiment, part one.
That was our attempt number one. Quite good.
I think that's quite good. We just have seven more windows to go.
Oh my God. That was a long day. Like, I don't know, seven hours later. Oh my God.
That took absolutely ages. Ages. But it's time to jump in and see how it feels. Oh my God.
Oh my God. That feels pretty private in here. So, I'll give you a quick whip round.
Oh, that is so cool. So, that's the inside and you can see it's actually still quite
light and you get enough light in. And this is limo tint, which is 5%. It's called limo tint.
This is red tornado, also limo, camper van, everything. I'm going to show you from outside.
Oh my God. Seriously, where, where is Lavi? What? No way. Wow. I cannot see you at all.
I was hiding. Were you? So, I'll give you a double check.
Wow. You seriously cannot see inside. That's mad. That's mad. That's awesome. Oh, job done.
Well, we were, we were so close to running out of tint, Roel. We had to do a few windows more
than one time. It was a massive mission, but the mission is complete and I hope we will never
have to tint windows again. So, it's just time to pack up and we're going to call it a day.
Good morning. It is day three and it is time to build the bed. It's a lovely day today. The sun
is on our side and yeah, hopefully it won't take the whole day. We bought a bunch of wood from
B&Q and now we've got to chop it all up and try to make it into a frame, I guess. So, wish us luck.
Six legs.
Yes. I'm going to get the sandpaper.
Five minutes later, the sun's back. Back to work. Back to work.
Ah.
Yes. Good. Very happy.
Wow, that's solid now. Yeah. Well, it has to be solid. Solid.
