Breaking news. We take a live look now at the U.S. Senate hearing where the Secretary of War
Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Cain are testifying on the War Department
budget. Notice the critical timing when we talk budget. The Iran conflict. President Trump's
naval blockade of Iranian ports is strangling Iran's economy now. Blocking exports and now
even some imports, thereby slashing the country's revenue by millions of dollars each day. Some
estimates give Iran a few short weeks before full economic collapse. The numbers? Staggering. That
country? Losing. How much? A whopping $435 million a day in economic activity. That includes nearly
$140 million in lost oil revenue. The cost of living is soaring with the food inflation
exceeding 112 percent. So the Iranian regime watches its people suffer because it will not
come to the table. Iran's currency has collapsed to 1.8 million rials to just one U.S. dollar.
That is not just economic pressure. That's a disaster. It's a direct test of how long
this radical Islamic regime can hang on. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant tells Fox News
Iran's primary oil export terminal is soon nearing storage capacity, which will force
the regime to reduce oil production, resulting in an additional approximately $170 million
per day in lost revenue. So it is piling on. He goes on to say that will cause permanent damage
to Iran's oil infrastructure. Here's General Jack Keane, who says the blockade could break
the economy there, but not necessarily break the leaders. Watch. The amount of economic peril that
the blockade will put on Iran is real. Eventually it could cause an economic collapse. But they
don't care about the suffering of their people, whether electricity is on or whether there's long
gas lines or other economic plight that the people will suffer. They will not give in,
in my judgment. What we need to do is finish the objectives. General Keane's Institute for the
Study of War is reporting Iran's top national security body is preparing for a possible new
protest wave. The Institute says economic conditions are worsening and social pressure
is building. Harris, and we're now learning that President Trump reportedly met with top
energy officials from Chevron and other companies yesterday to discuss steps that can be taken to
ease oil markets if it's necessary to extend the U.S. blockade by months. So far, the U.S.
blockade of Iranian ports is 16 days old. And according to a report from Iran International,
that blockade, Iran's leaders think they can only withstand a blockade of three to five
more weeks. Now, you're looking at your screen right now. That's Iran's currency, the rial.
It is now at a record low, the value dropping 98 percent over the last year. A dollar today
buys you 1.8 million rials. A year ago, a dollar bought you 42,000 Iranian rials.
Now, since the start of the war 60 days ago, Iran's economy is tanking. Two million jobs have
been lost. Half of Iran's jobs are at risk. The value of the rial, as I said, has tanked.
Inflation is up 67 percent, with the price of chicken up 75 percent, beef and lamb up 68 percent,
and daily oil shipments, Iran's main source of revenue, are down 70 percent. Now, given all this
pain inflicted on Iran's economy, The Wall Street Journal reports today that President Trump has
instructed his aides to prepare to extend this blockade, assessing that it is less risky than
walking away from the war or renewing military strikes, at least for now. President Trump posted
this morning a warning, quote, Iran can't get their act together. They don't know how to sign
a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart soon. The post includes an image that reads, no more
Mr. Nice Guy with the president holding a gun surrounded by explosions. Now, the U.S. has
surged more military assets to the region since the start of the ceasefire three weeks ago. Iran
is warning of, quote, unprecedented military action if the U.S. continues seizing ships
in its blockade and is ready for the war to restart. Here in Tel Aviv, the Israeli defense
minister says that Israel is prepared for the war to renew again and that they are simply just
waiting for the green light from the U.S. Harris. So, first of all, I want to talk a little bit
about the mechanics of this U.S. blockade and why it's getting so much worse for Iran. What is
our military able to do right now? Well, they'll continue to starve the regime of cash, which
frankly can be more devastating than another night of airstrikes, Harris. And this continued
blockade strategy on behalf of the administration is very smart because it applies maximum pressure
without immediately putting more American troops in harm's way. And we should be proud that we're
always having our troops' safety in mind. You know, when Iran is losing hundreds of millions
a day, when their currency is collapsing and when the regime is panicking, that really tells me our
strategy is working. And they made this offer to reopen the Straits of Hormuz while still delaying
nuclear talks. And Iran, I mean, from my standpoint, that's a total joke. And President Trump is
absolutely right to reject Iran's offer there. They want relief first and accountability later.
Their proposal is basically Tehran saying, let us get our money flowing again and maybe later
we'll talk about the bomb. That's not diplomacy. That's just more extortion. That's more stalling.
We can't reward a regime for holding the global economy hostage. And it would seem that the
president truly understands what I think previous administrations failed to learn. Sanctioned
relief before nuclear compliance is really just surrender disguised as diplomacy. We are not
writing another blank check for the Ayatollahs. We're not going to hand them survival. No more
fake diplomacy. And if we let it now, we're going to hand them exactly what they want. Survival.
This is not a misunderstood government looking for fairness. It is a regime trying to survive
long enough right now to rearm. And Americans really should not confuse delay with peace.
Iran leaders either make a deal or we're going to continue this blockade. We're going to continue
to starve their cash. And there's going to be immediate consequences that they're going to
feel in their wallets. And let's not ever forget what kind of regime we're talking about.
They're demanding respect right now at the negotiating table while they're crushing
dissent at home and threatening the region abroad. So for years they played the same game.
Stall negotiations, enrich uranium, fund terror, assume America is going to blink first. And we're
changing that equation. No more Mr. Nice Guy. He said it best. If you enjoy this content,
