Well hey friends! I've been wanting to do this for a very long time and today is the perfect day.
My boys are all playing at my sister's house and so I thought I would use this as an opportunity
to deep clean my kitchen. I am cleaning my kitchen every day multiple times a day
in terms of like wiping down the counters, I'll try to clean the appliances after I cook,
but the entire kitchen itself could just use a really good cleaning. I would love to clear it
completely out, wipe everything down, clean my copper collection, all the things, and so I just
figured today would be a great day to do that and I'm going to try to get it done before the boys
are back home. So they're having a blast. I don't know how much fun I'll be having but I figured I
would take you along with me. It's kind of a dark day today, super foggy and cloudy and overcast,
so I apologize for the lighting. I'll do my best to film here for you but just figured I would take
you along with me and maybe this will inspire you to do the same in your own kitchen. I think
every once in a while it's just good to clear everything out, get the surfaces completely
cleared, wipe everything down, clean the backsplash, all the things. So let's get started clearing it
out and then we'll do some cleaning.
Okay friends, so while I'm busy working in the kitchen, my husband has been slowly working on
getting our exterior ready for the spring and summer season and we are just so thankful to
Sunday for sponsoring today's video. So with Sunday you can create a custom subscription
that will send the exact products that your lawn needs based on your area and climate and then you
can update that plan or cancel it at any time. The boxes will arrive at your front door throughout
the season so that you can apply the products exactly when you need to. Plus you can get one-on-one
access to real live humans if you ever need help or support plus hundreds of different guides on
Alright, I received our first box from Sunday on how to take care of your lawn. They pretty
much give you everything you need to know step by step, what to do first. The very first thing
that they're telling me to do, I need to do a soil test and they gave me everything I need for that.
So I'm just gonna test the soil, send it in with a prepaid shipping label and then the very next
thing which is the iron boost and just follow each thing, chat with them, ask questions. If
there's something that pops up that you're not sure about, like a weed, you can take a picture
of it, they'll identify it for you. They put it in a really nice orderly box. They give you all the
supplies you need, your attachments for your hose, for your sprayer, which attaches right to the bag.
Sweet, I'm excited. Sunday will provide everything you need for a beautiful lawn. All you need is a
hose and the ordering process was so simple. My husband went on there and he entered in all of
the information based on our area and they created this awesome plan with just the right nutrients we
would need for our particular lawn. So like I said, if you have a hose, you can have a Sunday
lawn. It takes about 10 minutes to spray the nutrients on your lawn and then you can just sit
back and watch it green. So I'm so excited to be sharing Sunday with you guys. We can't wait to see
how this product works in our own lawn. It was so easy to use, so easy to apply. I have a special
promo code for you guys. I'll put all of this information down in the description box for you
below. Head to getsunday.com forward slash pineandprospect and use my code pineandprospect30
to get 30% off your first order. That's pineandprospect30 to get 30% off using my special
link. Sunday is fully customizable and they create a lawn plan to ensure success. Plus it ships free,
again, right to your door. Sunday uses simple, friendly, and powerful ingredients that work with
nature, are backed by nature, and made using cutting edge plant science. There's no harsh
chemicals, no unwanted chemicals or ingredients that you can't trust. Sunday is better for your
lawn. It's planet friendly. It's designed with your family and safety in mind. I know you guys
are going to love using Sunday. We're so excited to see how our lawn improves during the spring

Is this a lot of stuff? I know I have a pretty long galley kitchen, but I don't know. It didn't
feel like that much stuff in my kitchen. I'm always surprised when I pull it all out.
My goodness gracious. Oh my word. I mean, I use a lot of this stuff. So, but I know some of it is
decorative. This is why I'm cleaning the kitchen out because I just think it's good sometimes to
strip it all out and sort of reassess like what am I using? What am I not using? What is just
taking up room and space? The kitchen is pretty much completely empty. There's a few more things
on the walls that I could take down. It looks like I have a little shop here on my dining room table.
I am just going to start by washing my copper collection. I just want to clean all the pans.
I'm not going to shine them up or anything. I kind of like aged copper. I just want to kind of
wash them up with soap and water because they've got some dust on them and things like that. And
then whatever I bring back into my kitchen, I want to wipe off and clean up. And so this is
going to be a big project, but it'll be worth it. And I know my kitchen is going to feel so clean
when I'm finished. So. All right, guys. So the copper is all cleaned and hung. I've just been
cleaning off this rack. I think that before I move anything back into the kitchen, I want to
clean countertops and backsplash. But one thing I know for sure is that I want plates on this rack.
So I for sure would like to get everything back on this rack before I, you know, before I decide
on decor for the rest of the kitchen. So I thought that I would just clean this, which is probably a
good thing that I did. If you're interested in this piece, I have a blog post. I tried to write
a little tutorial on my blog and I've actually had a couple people reach out and recreate this,
which is so cool. My husband made this out of reclaimed barn wood. He cut it all out and put
it together. I drew a picture for him and he just tried to kind of create it for me. But I love the
way it looks here in the kitchen. I love the wood. It matches this antique table really well.
The two kind of look like they go together. But anyways, I just want to get the plates
back on here before I decide on everything else. I know it's more fun to watch
decorating than it is cleaning, but the point of this kitchen reset is to clean. So I gotta do that
before I can do the fun stuff. So I'm gonna put the plates back on here and then we'll clean the
countertops and the backsplash. Okay, so not seen on camera is the 20 minutes that I just took
playing with different plates on here. I've had white plates on there for so long and I love
wood and white. I just, I feel like the combination is so classic and beautiful.
But I was like playing around with the idea of some blue plates. I have a couple of options here.
These were my grandfather's. Unfortunately, I guess my grandma was really rough with her plates
because my grandpa, when he passed away, didn't have like a full matching set. He didn't have any
of the teacups that go to these. A couple salad plates and some dinner plates. They're pretty
chipped up too, which is fine with me. But they just have the prettiest blue design and my stove,
of course, is blue. So I was playing around with the idea of just changing up the plates.
I even have these really pretty plates that I thrifted. They're much more of a maybe gray
with a hint of blue along the ridges. And they're newer. They're from
Target, I think. They're like hearth and hand. And I'll always love vintage more than something
new. But yeah, I thrifted these, remember? So I even tried these and I thought they were kind of,
the scallop design was kind of pretty. I only have a couple of these. I thrifted these cuties.
I wish I had three because they would look cute here. Anyways, I don't know now. I don't know.
I kind of want to put the whole rest of the kitchen back together and then decide if I
want like a pop of blue on this plate rack. So maybe I need to get back to cleaning.
I'm going to do that now. I'm just going to get some cleaning done and then we'll come back to
decor. So guys, I just wanted to share with you real quick for that spray bottle that I was using.
It was just like a Branch Basics solution and I was just scrubbing the backsplash with that.
Typically, I will clean my entire kitchen with these amazing Norwex cloths. I love these.
They're like microfiber cloths that are so tightly woven. They clean so well, streak-free,
everything. All you need is water for these. They're just incredible. Some of my cloths
are over 10 years old. I use these for everything. It is getting darker and darker. I feel like this
weather just, it's making me want to get under a blanket and just read a book instead of clean
my kitchen, but I have got to get this kitchen put back together. Okay guys, so I have like all of
this beautiful, like all these beautiful crocks and pitchers with blue, like these little hints
of blue. So I think right now I'm probably going to just start putting things back where I have
them. Sorry, the lighting is kind of, um, I have all of these pitchers here that I've collected
and I'm just kind of wanting to space them out throughout the kitchen, even though I think they
look so pretty kind of all together too. Sometimes your collection makes so much more of a statement
when it's like all together, but I just, I want to see this kind of sprinkled throughout the kitchen.
So I'm just going to start putting things in the kitchen and I don't know, I guess you'll just
watch me play with all of this decor. I've got some smaller pieces too with the blue. So right
now I'm just trying to sort of space that out so I can get little sprinklings of blue throughout the,
throughout the kitchen, but this is the fun part. So if you ever feel like a space in your home
is like a little bit like dead or you can't quite figure out what it needs, I can almost
guarantee you just need a pop of green. Now this I get questions about all the time. I think the
name of it is an Asian Bell Tree, I want to say, but I'm, I'm not a huge plant person. This has been
so easy to keep alive. I water it once a week, but it is sort of getting a little bit big, maybe,
and I can tell that it's growing this way probably because of the counter, which makes me sad. I don't
know how much longer I can keep it here next to the sink, but I just love this plant and I feel
like a lot of indoor plants kind of look spiky and a little bit tropical and this one has, um,
I don't know, a little bit more whimsy, I guess. So I just don't know how much longer I can keep
it here. I guess I'll have to get another one. Well friends, we are quickly running out of
daylight and look at all this stuff that I haven't, now some of this was on my dining room table,
but I still have so many things that I haven't brought back into my kitchen. This was kind of
an Easter sort of item, so I can put that away and of course, you know, T-Rex arms over here.
Um, anyways, I think that I'm just really liking the kitchen where it is right now,
but because it's getting so dark, I may want to reassess in the morning. Well friends, it has
gotten to be so dark now in my kitchen that I think I'm going to call it a night, um, and maybe
try to take some footage of where we're at when the sun is shining so that you guys can see it
better. Um, but it was fun to take you guys along with me today and I think I'm loving how simple
it feels right now. I had way too much clutter on my countertop, so I just think it's good every
once in a while to like pull everything out of your kitchen and just give it a reset. So it feels
really good, I just have to figure out what to do with all this stuff on my table, all these little
knickknacks. So that's what I'll work on next, but it was so fun taking you guys along with me and
if you are new to my channel, I would love for you to hit that subscribe button and I have lots of
posts over on my blog all about our kitchen with some still shots if you like to look at photos
over video, um, and just a whole lot of inspiration there too. So I'll leave the link for my blog in
the description box below and I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the day, whatever time
of day you're watching this, and I'll see you all next time. Bye-bye!
