LEMS 2026 Malibu Slip Ons Review: The Best Summer Barefoot Shoe?

Hello and welcome. Today I want to talk to you about some new slip-on shoes that I just picked up from Lem's Shoes. So I was in the market for some slip-on shoes. I currently have slip-on shoes that I use at home, but they're not exactly the type of shoe that I should be going out with, especially according to my wife. And let me give you an example. I'm at home, comfortable, have my regular slippers that really aren't meant to leave the home. But then what ends up happening? The dog starts acting up and wants to go for a walk. I need to run to the grocery store or the liquor store, get those same exact slippers on as I go around doing these chores. And as you know, those slippers really aren't meant to, let's say, go out in public. So first off, you're not going to look too good out in public wearing your, let's say, bedroom slippers. Second of all, those slippers generally aren't comfortable for, let's say, everyday activities. They're meant for you to be comfy in your home. So when I saw that Lem's just put out this Malibu slip-on model, brand new, just came on the market, I definitely wanted to take a closer look. I ended up receiving these Malibu slip-on shoes, unboxed them, saw that they were offering exactly what I look for in shoes, and specifically in Lem's Shoes, which is the wide toe box so that your toes don't get crushed in there and a zero drop sole, giving you much more of that natural feel, which is great for your spinal alignment as well as your body mechanics. But as I mentioned, I was looking for a slip-on, so I wanted them to be easy to put on, to put off, and of course comfortable. And on top of it, they look pretty good and they are wife approved. I decided for this blue or Baltic color. I think there are three different color choices available for the Malibu shoe model. They are true to size. I opted for a men's size 12 US, and they weigh in at about 6.8 ounces. So incredibly, incredibly light. Inside there is also a cork insole, which is great because it's antimicrobial, helps with smells, and of course very comfortable, as well as eco-friendly. These shoes are also vegan friendly. And the insole, once again, up to you. If you want more of that grounded feeling, opt for taking them out. And if you prefer to utilize the insoles, obviously just keep them in. So some of the specs on these Malibu shoes. The fit is the Lem's wide natural shape. The upper is polyester canvas. The lining is polyester. The outsole is the IBR or injection blown rubber. The insole, as I just showed you, is the minimal cork insole. Stack height is 10 millimeters. As I mentioned, there is a zero drop on these shoes. And there is also a cork footbed. It is 0.8 millimeters of cork on the top layer, keeping your feet cool and comfortable with or without socks. The Malibu's also offer some good tread on the bottom, which will help you with stability, as well as slippage or non-slippage. I'm very happy with this Malibu model. I like the look of it, like the feel of it, like the ease and simplicity of them. And at the same time, they look great, whether I'm just bouncing around the home, doing home activities, or if I decide to go out on any kind of casual outing, especially with the summer months coming up. Now that I got to actually see them up front, utilize them, test them, I certainly want to pick up another pair, different color, most likely in black.
