And welcome back today especially for my alliance members. Delivery from Groza
Archery. So thank you very much first of all to Groza, Chaba Groza. We get an early Mongolian
biocomposite bow. For the discussion what means this biocomposite. This is the modern age
composite bow. Practically these are also laminated bows. However the external layers are not synthetic
but biocomposite. On the face they appear like an extra three composite horn bow with thinner reflex
arms. We may call them hybrid bows as well because they combine the technology of laminated and horn
bows. In the past we made a similar bow called extra three two laminated but just a simple
laminated bow with a horn plate. The biocomposite bows have the following layers. Biocomposite horn,
wood or bamboo core and a pressed sinew plate. There is a thin synthetic layer between the
wooden core and the horn. Either glass fiber or basalt. Most often glued by epoxy or some other
timber industry glue in some cases. In a few cases the synthetic leather has been left out.
Synthetic layer has been left out and others may have organic horn. The grip and the ears are
reinforced by mostly horn or bone in some cases. The wrapping on the bow was also biocomposite
sinew. Some models have leather cover and painted motifs are also available. Biocomposite bows feel
smoother at full draw and have less resonance. Biocomposite bows have the most optimal characteristic
and authentic external appearance. So you get kind of like almost a horn bow but it's biocomposite
and when you see the price this bow is 460 euros plus shipping and sometimes you get it when you
pay with bank transfer for 391 sometimes even on offer. You get almost almost a similar experience
than you get with a real horn bow but for way less of the price. For that I will use my wonderful
blade from Jeremy the knife maker in France. This is my zen knife.
So what do I expect? I showed a few biocomposite bows. I expect first of all a nice packaging
inside with the sleeve and hopefully description and then the bow itself of course crafted properly.
The draw experience I think in the beginning it might be a little stiff at least that's what I
experienced with the biocomposite bows from Grosjean. So they need a few shots to break in
but then they really draw to the mentioned max draw. This one is 32 inches and we just go from there.
What else do I expect? I expect not much vibration. Handshake.
Thank you. Packed well. I can tell you many of you always want to see the unboxing so I do it here.
Look what you get. Thank you Jeremy for this knife. A pretty box and a pretty bow bag.
So remove this. Now let's see what we get here. And we still have only one zipper right? Yep.
That's the only thing I wish that would be two zippers so we don't have to close it here.
Sometimes you don't close it and the bow comes out. So what do we get here?
Look at you. We get a special protection sleeve. I like that one. So now we get user instructions.
Biocomposite early Mongolian. 36 pounds at 28. Max draw 32. Date of purchase and you know the
Grosjean card. That's fine. And we get Groza. Not Groza. And we get this nice sleeve. Really nice.
The early Mongolian and I hope that no Mongolian, real Mongolian is now
you know because of cultural heritage or what have you. Short. Way shorter than mine. Oh look at you.
Nice. Sudala. Shall we have a closer look? Yes. So you can have this bow from 25 to 70 pounds
usually but on special order he will make it from 75 to 140 pounds.
Sure it will cost a little more but you know 140 pounds. Biocomposite.
Has a length of 56 and a half inches. Strong it's 51 inches.
Max draw is 32 inches and it has a brace height of seven and a half inches.
Beautiful. I mean craftsmanship wise I am not disappointed. This is what I expected. You have
this nice pressed sinew plate here and here the horn. Do we start again now? Somebody's moving in
here. Wrapping in sinew. Nice leather handle. On one side you get an arrow pass. On the other side
not. So this one is only for right-hand shooters. You get the nice string. I would recommend if you
order one order directly or as a second string. It's not so expensive but then you save shipping
cost because it's already in the box just in case you lose it or whatever. So on this direction
this bow is very stiff. Crafted beautifully. Nice. What can I tell you? We have an arrow pass obviously
a little wider here. It's 23 and a half so 24 millimeters. That's fine by me. Then obviously this
bow needs a bit. I would always warm this bow up first a bit and I did a video of how to treat
composite bows in winter and Jabba gave me there a few hints what you should do. You know if it
gets cold and make sure that you keep your bow warm. I'm not sure if you need to do it with this
one but I would. Let's see. The shorter one is the top one we said. All right let's see how it is to string.
Should be fairly easy. It's 36 pounds at 28. Four inches more so it means we are at
maybe 45 pounds. Click click in. Stringing easy. What else do we have? So now we need to check the tiller
quickly before the bow sets in position. So this is the only thing you need to take care of.
The tiller is now equal and once it's equal it's fine. So this is what you should do in
the first few seconds after stringing because then the memory will kick in.
As my friend Bogenhainz always said wood has memory so I almost probably even horn and sinew
so you give it the memory you deserve. Let's check if it's straight. It's a grosser bow.
I did not expect anything less. You have here a nice transition. You see that from
to this horn here and then it gets dark inside. So optically look at this back part.
I have the belly part really pretty and then here always nice to see that.
Nice. So we have the brace height of seven and a half inches he said.
Of course you have seven and a half inches. The bow weight you want to know it's actually
not so heavy. I thought it's heavier. 425. That's totally fine by me. I love this biocomposite those
guys. I don't want to shoot it now because I'm sure I will love this bow and then I don't want
to give it away. This is early Mongolian. It's just the style I like for a bow. Handle feels
very good. Very good. It's just the right size. You see that could be for my big hands a little
bit bigger but it's fine. Feels there's nothing wobbly. So here stiff and here gets nice and
flexible and as I said in this direction it's good stiff. It's not the stiffest but of course
due to the design you have your big knee but for that it's a really stiff. Shall we? Okay out of
the box. Out of the box. If you never drew one of these biocomposite bows you will not know. So this
really I guess the max of this bow but everything between 30 and 32 with this bow is fine. Isn't it
a pretty bow? For the price there is nothing written about arrow weight but I would say
long see of even the bow is not very long I would go with 9-10 grain per pound.
I might measure it later so I guess we are at 42-43 pounds at full draw and there are 500 so
we are way over but for the beginning let me see what the bow is doing. And it's fast even with
heavy arrows. I hit something finally. It took a while. So the strings are always relatively thin
the servings but even these cork nooks work nice on itself. No problem here.
What you need is some kind of thumb protection because these strings bite so you don't want to
shoot them too long like this. And you have two indicators which determine if you have the bow
upside or downside. This one is the arrow pass. It's always on top obviously and you always get
the description. So now I try my new thumb rings from Hardcore Bows. Left and right.
And I shoot 420 grain so we are now in around 10 grain. First time I shoot these rings.
So 10 grain. Today the ring is a little loose but I have to give it away. What can I do?
One more time with a regular thumb ring. The lantern in wood from Wermel. You throw it back
and you think there is not this springy feeling like you have from a laminated bow and the bow
opens up already. So even these standard nooks here from the Taurus arrows work nice with the
string. A little to the left and a little high. You just have to look there. A little to the left
again. It needs a little control and a few shots but it's an easy going bow. Everyone after a few
shots is capable of hitting something. The form needs to be right. And if you don't like the
background don't look at it. I can't help. As long as I don't have another place I will do my videos
here. If you like it's fine. If you don't like it has to be fine too. So you need to hold the bow
properly and hold it to loose. At least I did. Oh wait one was complaining that I don't show
what I hit. He only shows how he shoots but he never shows what he hits. Okay then let's go there
and let's have a look. Wanna see? I hit something. Okay for the speed test I use now the leather
thumb protection from Mark Roberts. We are at 10 grain per pound. 171.
I missed. 177. I was looking at the arrow. 178. Just for the sake of comparison we shoot a 500
grain. It's a bit longer. 173. And they are I think 300 or something. 300. Maybe a bit too
lightweight. Still not. 185. A little bit too lightweight. So easy. 300 is not enough.
And jog with 10 grain. So with the lightweight arrows I failed it a little bit.
Not too much but you could feel it. Nothing. And vibration afterwards. So he built this bow.
And I don't do my crony test. I can hit something. This is an amazing bow. So I
love the Azurian biocomposite. It was always my favorite biocomposite bow from Groza.
I love the design of this one so much more. This is now my new favorite.
Let's talk about the expectations I had. I thought this bow needs a few shots to open up but I don't
know what Jabba did now. But this bow was directly drawing super smooth from the beginning.
Like here look at this. Usually it took me whatever 30, 40, 50 shots that this bow gets
that smooth but this one is smooth from directly out of the box. This is incredible. So my first
expectation overruled. It's just you know with this in here now this is just cut up, built in,
everything built in. It's a wonderful, wonderful bow. So this one I tell you now directly the one
flaw this bow has and it's a major, major flaw. And you can't deny it that I have to give this
away to one of my alliance members. Holy cow I really love this bow. But I really do. I say it for
my nipples but this one I really love. Is this bow worth the asking price of 460 euros? Absolutely.
This is centurion. Holy cow. And at the back it feels almost like a let off. It's not. But the
draw curve of this bow is just... And then it kicks the arrows away like nothing. So 406 euros for this bow
and then pay with bank transfer 390 or something. So seriously.
You want to see it again? Okay for the mister complaining that you don't see what I shoot.
Okay fine let's go there. Let's have a look. Let's have a look.
Happy. And this is me talking and shooting. If I would only shoot I should better.
So this bow. All the other biocomposite bows are surely great too but this one
beats for me right now every other bow. So of course you wanted to see the
Mogul. I tested ones with this heavy
sea curves. But I think this one is just the sweet spot between the Assyrian and the Mogul.
The draw is unbelievable. The shooting experience is like ding. Nothing. There's nothing going on.
I won't want to. Of course it's not only a 36 pound but I think especially in this poundage
this bow performs so well. Might be a little different from the draw experience with heavier
but here look at this. Easy peasy. And you saw before that the speed difference between the 420
and 500 grain was not that big. So even if you want to shoot heavy arrows this bow will do a
perfect job for you hunters in America. And as you have a non-contact. I would call it almost
a non-contact here but it's not with string pads and something. This bow is silent. Shall we listen
again with the 500 grain? Okay just listen to the sound of the 500 grain. If you want put some
string silencers but you don't need them. There is. But it's gone in a second. Holy moly. Just so
you see a little comparison in front is the Assyrian. It's a tiny bit longer but it draws 33
inches I believe. Limb width kind of like the same and then you see of course a different design of
the CES. This is way less here with the Assyrian. I love this bow. Let me shoot one. This is 44 pounds.
This is 36 pounds. So it's a little a little heavier but nonetheless. This bow is by the way
for sale. It's not mine. It's from my friend Martin. He wants to sell it. So this is what I mean.
First shot. The bow gets stiff and unpredictable. Let's see again.
Still stiff. And you feel the handle a little bit here which I never did but now I felt it.
Absolutely stunning bow. Nothing against it. But the early Mongolian can't help. This is just my
design. I just love this kind of tattoo. It's so thin and this is easier to control. I think really the
early Mongolian is the sweet spot between Assyrian and then the Mughal. Would be interesting
Chapa to test your Manchu bow in biocomposite. Just saying. Yes he has a Manchu bow but it was only 32
inches but fine by me. Really really good bow. I said for sale if you can write me an email.
But I don't ship to America anymore. I pay less than 140 euros shipping. If you're willing to pay
that be my guest. This one is shorter. It's nice. This is already a really really good bow.
But for me this one is just this tiny little bit better. So my expectations price wise I told you
fully fine by me. Even 460 euros plus shipping for a bow like this no problem. Maybe a little
more poundage. Maybe in 40 pound it will behave a little different. But this one is just...
The draw curve is almost non-existent. Incredible compared to this. Of course it doesn't have that
many shots now. It's not warmed up. So there you feel more... I don't want to say stacking but you know
towards the end. Like with this one it's just unbelievable. Crazy. I only hope that nobody has
a problem that I'm from Bavaria, live in Austria and shoot a Mongolian bow. So not that you think I
want to impose on your cultural heritage. I just like to shoot this bow.
And I don't care about borders as you know. This bow is... You can build up here already your
katra nicely and then the arrow flies where you want. So even if you have already a biocomposite
bow let's build the Austrian bow. Unreal. And I did not shoot often so I'm not in the best shape
right now. This is just a little bit ummm at the end but it's nothing. It's nothing.
Even if you have one or two biocomposite bows and it's not this one. Get this one. Seriously this is
speaking of biocomposite for me the nicest shooting experience. The Assyrian was always
the nicest shooting experience but I didn't like the design. Here the shooting experience,
the draw experience is even nicer and I love this design. And even I said 500 grain
it's no problem with this bow. Kicks it away and this arrow is a little longer so I don't
throw fully. 33 inches. This has almost 600 grain wood arrow. It's a little too long 33 inches.
Even 600 grain flying nice. So really only one downside to this bow specifically that I can't
keep it. This bow is awesome. See the transitions here on the riser. They go here
and they fade out to nothing. See how long the riser transition is.
And then you have here really nice a bit of you know a little bit the little bit the Turkish one
but a little bit on the back and it's just it's for me perfect. I'm sure you can order it with
the arrow pass plus on the left side so for the left hand or ambidextrous shooters.
And this bow is seeing the benefit of having a biocomposite. You don't have to check every
five shots if the bow is still straight and if the bow is still in tiller. This bow just works.
You just in the beginning as you saw you make the tiller right hold it for a second leave it
and this bow is just fine. And if it starts deforming you just give it a little push here
and it's fine. So it's easy going. You string it and a few seconds later you can shoot it
unlike the real horn bows which are a little maintenance intensive and that's why not for
me especially. I don't want to pay 2000 euros for a bow if I can have this under 500 euros. You know
for me limit is always 500 euros. This is under 500 euros and you get such an amazing bow and I
need to shoot now three more arrows. Doesn't help because I need to give this bow away. But I'm happy
that my alliance members voted for this one and they voted for the Mugol too but this one already
the second time. So I think it's just fair that we got this one and I can promise you it's at least
for me how I shoot the better bow. I shot I have even the full carbon Mugol still here. This one is
on a different level. Holy moly. 3d whatever you throw at this bow. Now I try to force it
and it's like with a fart when you force it it's I don't say that and unstringing this bow
Chaba said you should be just a bit slow so when you unstring it you just come here
it's getting too loud and then you just slowly give it back and now you might see no you don't
sometimes they have a little bit of string follow but they go back in the original shape after a
while so you leave them there and then they go back in the original shape like you got them from
Chaba. Awesome and stringing I said is easy and the pacey. You just need to make sure that you
know because you have a flex in the handle that you don't tilt count your bow here somewhere
you just come forward here and I said after stringing directly you check that the tilde
is right so you just wait for a second a few seconds and the bow is ready to shoot and it's
I don't get the arrows now because otherwise I don't stop shooting this bow it's just no weight
I expected it to be heavy there's no it's actually lightweight too okay fine but I mean look at these
two bows the azura is always like a turkish on steroids you see the curves a nice one too
really nice pop up this one does everything doesn't wiggle wobble anything you can control your bow
like you want it's a perfect biocomposite bow for me and I stopped talking because the video will get
two hours and I'm just rambling about
all my expectations fulfilled yes properly packaged you get a sleeve you get the documentation you get
a beautiful crafted bow with one string I wish wish one could include directly a second string
but just order one with it string is fine the bow is easy to string easy to handle the bow is
stiff in this direction stiff enough and it's flexing here nicely see that here it's really
nice and you saw it in the draw curve then not in the draw curve but in how the bow makes a curve
but now of course you leave the string end of 60 degrees and you feel it but up to 32 in this
you don't have this springy feeling backwards like with a fiberglass bow or with a laminate
and this one is like it draws back like nothing but then it kicks the arrows insane so all my
expectations fulfilled yes and I said only one downside I can't keep this bow but my dear
alliance members one of you will get this amazing bow and if it's America I have to ship it to
America I can't help then it costs me 140 euros but what can I do I have a lot of members in
America so guys check out this bow maybe a little longer than a Tatar but the behavior of this bow
is just wow that's all so thank you very much for this bow this is
I don't know how it could get any better than this in biocomposite this is incredible what you are
doing thank you for that and that's all I have for you today thank you very much for subscribing
