Ladies and gentlemen, our next Member of Parliament needs no introduction.
We all know her.
She's been with our community for many, many years.
Her unwavering dedication to protect our community is deeply cherished.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Member of Parliament, Judy Sproul.
Good afternoon, everyone.
How wonderful it is to stand here and to see each and every one of you with your yellow jackets on.
I managed to get the yellow scarf on today so that I join you.
I don't know how many years that I have been coming out here to say hello,
to bring you best wishes and to bring you the prayers
that you be allowed to continue in this great country of Canada
to practice the Falun Dafa moves that you do and your belief that's there.
So again, thank you. I'm always shorter than everybody else.
Thank you to the organizers for inviting me to join you all again here on Parliament Hill
and to everyone gathered to mark Falun Dafa Day.
It's been marked here on the Hill for many years
and it's almost an automatic thing to see all the yellow jackets out here
as you celebrate freedom in our wonderful country.
But today we celebrate the 31st anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa
and the principles of its core.
What you teach all of us, not only in Canada but throughout the world,
the values of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance
are the three values that the world needs to live up to celebrate those three values.
Truthfulness, compassion and principles, those are the things that we all need to have
and the tolerance to understand each other.
These are universal values, values that resonate deeply in Canada
and reflect who we aspire to be as a society.
We recognize that many in Canada have come here seeking safety from persecution abroad
and events like today remind us that freedom should not be taken for granted anywhere,
in Canada or anywhere else in the world.
Thank you to the organizers for bringing all the people together
and for continuing to promote reflection, compassion and respect.
May I say on behalf of Shen Yun Productions that you are absolutely magnificent
and I hope and pray that you are able and the organizations continue to be able
to have other people experience Shen Yun and what it is all about
and bring safety as individuals continue to move forward.
This is about human rights.
Human rights are everybody's rights
and we need to stand together and make sure the world will be with us all
as we move forward in this challenging time.
God bless each and every one of you.
