Day in my life nyc college student *at NYU!* realistic & productive vlog 🎧✏️📚

Good morning, guys. It's Kyla. Welcome back to my channel. Today, I figured I would show you guys a day in my life as a student at NYU. For reference, I am a second year, which means I am a sophomore studying media culture and communications. Please don't mind the fact that I am still in bed. I just woke up, and today, I'm pretty much just gonna walk you guys through what a typical day in my life looks like. School, homework, all that typical university student stuff. And I feel like lately, my days have been a little bit more busy. I've been prepping a lot for exams, so we're definitely going through it a little bit right now. Also, it's currently 10 in the morning. My first class today starts at 11, so that is why I am awake right now. So let's start getting ready. Also, I don't know if anyone else does this, but the first thing that I do when I wake up is check what the weather is gonna be for that day. I need to know, like, what to wear. It helps me plan out my outfit. Also, it's been, like, so cold lately, which makes me so sad, because as we know, I don't like the cold. I am very much a summer person. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do like fall, but, like, the second that cold weather hits, I'm, like, checked out. No. This is my beautiful morning view overlooking the street down below. Yeah, for any of you guys wondering what my view looks like, this is what it looks like. Alright, time to pick an outfit for today. It is gonna be pretty cold, so I wanna do, like, a sweater-type thing. Honestly, I might just throw this on. I love just a simple, like, sweater-y crew neck. My closet is not organized at all right now. I've just literally thrown all of my jeans on this one rack. There's just, like, random clothes on the floor, like, please don't judge. So, yeah, we're gonna start getting ready. Sorry if it looks really bright. We've got a pretty jam-packed schedule today, however, one of my classes is really short, and I love me a short class. I feel like my attention span in class is, like, gone after the first 20 minutes, and then I'm just, like, online shopping on my computer, like, trying to keep myself occupied. But no, I've actually been trying to do a better job of locking in, especially with midterms, exams, being all around this time. I actually had one midterm already, and I feel like I did pretty good on that, so pretty proud of myself for that. But anyways, I also have a club meeting today, and then I have a sorority, like, fundraising thing later tonight, which I'll take you guys along with me for. But I want to get a lot of studying done today. I'm probably gonna end up going to the library at some point. For any of you guys who don't know, the NYU library is called Bobst Library. Y'all, it is so hard to get a seat at Bobst Library. It is always so busy and so jam-packed, like, it is nearly impossible to find an open seat. So hopefully we can find an open seat there. If not, I might go study at Kimmel Center, which I actually really like studying at Kimmel Center, especially on the 7th floor, because it has a really nice view overlooking Washington Square Park. I'll show you guys. It's so gorgeous. I love studying there. I'm also gonna make breakfast in a bit. Lately, I've been making my go-to yogurt bowl, which I will show you guys how I make. It's so good. Then I also desperately need to go grocery shopping today. I have, like, no groceries right now. It's so bad. But what's really nice about where I'm living is that there is a Trader Joe's so close by, which makes going grocery shopping so much easier because I hate, like, having to walk a far distance just to get groceries and then, like, bring it all back, especially when I'm carrying, like, a really heavy bag. And I might also stop and get a coffee on my way to class. I'm, like, pretty much done getting ready. I don't do too much. So this is my makeup look of the day. Alright, let's go make breakfast and then we're gonna head to class. I'm also gonna throw on some earrings and then I also threw on this necklace. I got this necklace from Amazon. If you guys wanna shop my Amazon storefront, I'll leave it linked down below. Now we're gonna pack my backpack. We're gonna put my computer in here and then also my notebook. Alright, let's head to class. Okay, guys, I am currently on my way to class right now. It is currently 10.48 and I think I have enough time to grab a coffee. So I think we're gonna go grab a coffee before class. I don't know if I want a matcha or a coffee, though. That's literally a question I have for myself every morning. And also, I don't know how much I'm gonna be able to film in class because it's, like, kind of a smaller seminar-y class. So we'll see how much I end up filming, but probably not that much because that would be really awkward. But yes. Okay, guys, so I just got out of class. It's about, like, 12.15-ish right now. I'm walking back to my dorm. I'm gonna make food because a girl is quite hungry and then I have a lot of work that I have to get done today. So I'm gonna do that as well. Okay, guys, so it's a little bit later. It's currently 2 o'clock right now and I have some work that I need to get done for my next class, which I have at 3. So I definitely waited till last minute to get my homework done. But I'm not gonna lie, I had a pretty busy weekend, so I didn't have a bunch of time to catch up on all my schoolwork. So it's come down to an hour before my class and I'm just now doing my work. But anyways, it's probably gonna take me, like, half an hour, which is fine because I'm gonna start heading over to my second class of the day at 3. Did I say my class started at 3? I meant 3.30. I'm also registering for my classes for next semester and I really need to get to this because I haven't done this because the deadline's definitely coming up soon. Like I said, I've just been pretty busy lately, so I haven't had a bunch of time to just catch up on all my work that I need to get done. Okay guys, I need to start heading to class because it's almost 3 and campus is about like a 25 minute walk from me and class is in half an hour. So we're gonna start heading to class. I'm going to pack my bag, get everything ready, and then we're gonna start heading over there. This is my Business of Producing class, so it's in Stern. This is actually one of my favorite classes and I don't want to be late, so let's start heading over there now. Let's go! Alright guys, we're on our way to class number 2 of the day and it looks like we're gonna get there on time, which is pretty rare. I feel like I'm always a little late to class, but we're doing good. I don't know if I mentioned it, but this class is an hour and 15, so it's not too bad. And so I'm gonna get out around 4.45 and then after that I'm gonna study at the library because I really need to study. I have a couple exams coming up that I really need to lock in for. I might go back to my dorm after this class or I might just go right to the library. Not sure yet, but we'll see.
