BEST HOTEL SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD - Manila, Philippines

There's a typhoon coming tonight, a super typhoon. Good morning guys, I have just finished my last vlog about 30 minutes ago and just started this one. I just left the hostel I was in and now I'm in the taxi on the way to another hotel I've been invited to so I need to get across town. I'm staying in Manila for tonight but I need to get there first and then I'll introduce you to the rest of the vlog. Well I just checked in to this place and I've got to say, not looking my best but this is really swanky and in case you don't know what swanky means, it's really nice. This is like, I've just been checked into the premier lounge well I've just been checked into the premier lounge and I've got this like executive room, fancy shower, mini bar and coffee station and there's an executive lounge that I want to show you around in a bit that I just got showed quickly and also an included spa treatment so this is pretty much perfectly what I need today. Yeah hopefully I'll make it interesting for you. Look at this, included drinks. I don't know what they are but I'm having that one. Live and dream, work and play at Novotel Manila Areneta Center. Thank you, I will. I even have complimentary Philippine lambanog distilled coconut wine with two shot glasses but since it's just me I don't think I'll be drinking this. What is that? It's cucumber juice and this one's beetroot juice. I've been saying I need to get healthier so good timing. I'm about to head down for afternoon tea in the lounge and it says that you need to be properly attired. That's about as smart as I go, that's the smartest clothes I have. Denim shorts and a t-shirt so hopefully that's properly attired. Turns out I was allowed into the premier lounge and what better place to work than this. I've gotta do some work. Wow on top of that I just got brought over this. Now this is editing in style. I feel like, wait, I feel like this may be a bit over indulgent but you know when in Manila, when in Rome. Such a nice view up here, you can see all the way around and it's not lost on me what a nice place this is and like how far away this is from where I was last year when I arrived in the Philippines. I'm so happy to be doing this or so happy to have this opportunity to stay in like somewhere like this just on the back of my YouTube channel. So I want to give them a fair representation and show them, show you guys the accommodation because it's a really nice place but also I don't want to step away from what I normally do. So check this out. Can you feel that wind? Can you hear it? There you go. There's a typhoon coming tonight, a super typhoon. So the typhoon hasn't hit yet but it's expected to be pretty bad. It's a super typhoon and that means the wind speed would go up to 220 kilometers per hour. So I don't know, it says it's going to hit around 11 p.m tonight. I'm not sure what to expect, if it's going to hit here or not, I don't know. I think I'll be all right. I think it'll be fine in here but maybe there'll be an impact around the rest of the Philippines. So I guess I'll follow up the next video with that but I don't think I'll really get to show you anything in this video and of course if it does hit and it's bad then I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be excited about it a minute ago, it's just I've never really seen a super typhoon. Maybe I won't put this up if it goes really badly but I'm going to find out tomorrow what it's really like. Sweet, this is a Philippine map. Just there. There it is, there it is. Yeah, I just got delivered a white and milk chocolate Philippine map. Cool. I really planned to do like an awesome video in conjunction with the hotel here and go out and explore. It was just because of what happened last night that I've ended up having to be in here doing lots of work but still the hotel has been top class. So I figured I'd take this chance while I'm eating this white and dark chocolate map of the Philippines to tell you about some of my future plans. Well, I look really red right now but I'm not sunburned again, it's just this light it's kind of red. But anyway, while I'm eating, that was Corona I think, a bit of Palawan. What I've taken away from Tebex is that you need multiple income streams to really be reliant on passive income. And I know lots of YouTubers do this already, they have their merchandise, they have their YouTube, they have books, video games, whatever it is. And I think I really want to focus now on creating more multiple streams of income. I've got a few ideas around that that I'm going to be trying to launch in the future but I think that's really how you can be stable. If you have money coming in from lots of different places, even if you have a bad month in one area, then you'll still have money coming in from another area in whatever it is that you do. That's a white chocolate slap, there you go, nice. I was saying earlier I need to start being healthier but it's not every day that you get a map of the Philippines made of chocolate delivered to your door for free. So I don't think I can really turn down that opportunity. There's a few things I really want to work on. There's definitely a lot of travel coming up. I know for these first few videos in the Philippines I've been stuck, not stuck, I've had commitments in Manila and after this I'm really going to be going to somewhere different in the Philippines. I'm actually in the probably video next, in the probably video next, I'm actually in the next video flying to Palawan and I really want to explore more Palawan because I didn't get the chance to last time. I just saw Port Barton so this time I'm going to be going to Coron and El Nido and exploring a lot there. And then maybe somewhere else in the Philippines as well after that is South Korea. I don't know if I mentioned that yet on here but yeah we'll be heading to South Korea after the Philippines and then I've got the Thailand and Cambodia trip coming up with One Step Forward in the beginning of December and then I've got a lot more travel coming up after that as well so that's really exciting. I don't know what else, I'll keep you posted. Coffee time. In case any of you guys are wondering why I'm not doing more with my day in Manila. This just, this is part of my life. Sometimes I just have to stop and be in a room and be in a hotel and just work really, really hard for a day. Especially when the day before I spent climbing or going towards a volcano and sleeping overnight in a car and not doing any work when I needed to. So right now is a complete work day it's lucky that it's been spent in a really nice place but mainly I just wanted to show you that some days you just have to stop and work. Okay I've been doing work just about long enough now I think I'm gonna go and get some proper food in the restaurant. That food was amazing. Let me tell you I'm under no obligation to say anything about this place at all. Like the agreement I make with hotels is that I'll get free accommodation and then I'll give an honest appraisal of any service I receive and so I don't have to say anything nice but the service here has been top class and that food I'm completely stuffed because I couldn't stop eating it. So good. Anyway I'm gonna finish there and say good night. No sign of the typhoon yet. I'll keep you updated tomorrow. I'm gonna do another video tomorrow and see what the impact of that typhoon is but for now I'm just gonna say I'm finding this really hard to say because I'm so full but thank you for watching and this is my life.
