So I wanted to share an update with everyone. Some of you may know this already. My office
is in the process of installing a CABO OP3D CVCT machine with a 9 by 14 centimeter
scan area. So we're really excited. We're using DTX Studio. I'm pretty pumped about
what this is going to do for the office from the standpoint of being able to see
more and therefore diagnose more, give more information to our patients from the standpoint
of what we're recommending and why. And then also excited to be getting into some of the
information relative to airway management and being able to create some real significant
planning ahead for dental implant placement and also for any of our surgical services.
So more information to come. I'll keep you updated. I just downloaded the DTX Studio on my
personal computer. I'm going to spend some time looking at it. I've got some practice
files that I can play with and as I have more information I'll share that with you.
Hopefully I can use this as an opportunity to create some new training data from the standpoint
of introduction to CVCT software, in particular the DTX Studio from CABO, as well as how it fits
into the puzzle from patient diagnosis, from acquisition of the data to patient diagnosis,
to discussion with patients, to execution of treatment, whether it's endodontic pre-planning,
implant pre-planning, oral surgery pre-planning, periodontology, identifying bone loss,
certainly endodontic, abscess, lesion, etc., etc. So pretty excited to be adding this
modality, this imaging to our practice. It's been a long time coming. We've been working hard to get
this set. We'll still have the old panoramic in our office and still be using size 2 and size 0
sensors for individual x-rays, but we're pretty pumped about what it's going to do for the office
as a whole, specifically with regard to patient diagnosis, identification, education,
and then helping them move forward with accepting treatment that helps them
to become more healthy. So again, as more information comes, as I have
more details, more data, hopefully I'll be able to create some great content around the installation
and the learning curve that we go through as an office and me personally as a clinician,
so that you can see some of the hurdles and some of the setbacks and some of the challenges and
hopefully prevent a slow start in your office as you get into this modality. That's all I've
got for you for now. Again, I'll post more information as it comes. Thanks. Have a great weekend. Bye.
