Engineering the Perfect Ancient Egyptian Village!

Hello fellow engineers and welcome to Pyramid. Now, this is a very very fun little survival game sort of don't starve esh? Esh? I think I mean ish. But in this you control like an entire population. We'll get into it and I'll show you what it's like It's very very addicting. I'll tell you that. We ignore that. That was just me practicing I got to day 12, seven people in my clan, my tribe of engineers And we're gonna start a new game in the third spot just to annoy the OCD people. Okay, so this is how you start We've got a little house. We've got two adult people and you can see that that guy on the back, a little kid So to start off, I'm gonna take this person. I'm gonna say gather, gather those. That is some like grassy strawy stuff I'm gonna send this bloke over this way. Essentially what you gotta do, you just got to gather resources You can see this person here. They've just turned that bit of grass into some hay and they're gonna put it over there Same, we've got wood here. We can chop that down. You can see it says chop when I hover over it We've also got bushes there that we can pluck to get food Now the only thing with this game that isn't a pause button, there's fast forward one and two and quit You literally can't pause it so you can't think for a second. Might make recording a bit difficult. Over here You can see this bloke. We've just discovered like a half-built pyramid I'm not really sure what that's for. That appears in every level and usually what I've noticed over this side There's something that can help us early on. I don't know if it's always over this side I'm just gonna go for a little explore. Hopefully we'll find what I'm looking for. Meanwhile, you can see down here There's no more room in our haystack. So this person, we've got to tell them What do you want to do with the hay? And what I want to do, I want to build a log shed So I'm gonna shove that about there and I'm gonna say build that. So now they'll build that with the hay They've got. You can see it costs two hay and also three logs. So we have to get them chopping some logs soon I mean, oh, let's get back to this. Oh look, look, we found him. We found him So this is what we're looking for. Wow, this, this thing, an alien, is it? Here we go. Look! Exclamation mark What is he trying to say to us? I don't know. He's saying Pyramid, I think. I think that's a pyramid, goes up So perhaps we have to build the pyramid and that'll please our little alien dude However, you'll now notice the alien is following me and what that's done It's basically given me an extra character like a little bonus one We're gonna go that way actually just to see what there is. Oh and this person chopped down some trees So now they'll chop the wood that they need to build this building and these two I'm gonna send one like over that way I'm gonna send the other one back to chop some wood as well And then I'm gonna start planning what else I need to build So if we come back into the build menu, we've also got a hay field. That would be useful However, as you can see there grows wheat. Build near water to regrow So I need to find some water first really hence I'm sort of sending these two in a bit of a loop and I'm hoping we'll bump into some water. Top left That's our food bar So you can see that's dropping down all the time and I think the more sort of people you have the faster that drops The search for water isn't going great However, look what I have found that is the strongest shape the two things and the thing it's a bit bent That one definitely a strong shape though. So those of you that purely watch my content for those congrats We got an early one. Where the hell is the water man? Alright, there we go. We got some water We got some water. Okay, is there any more a bit closer? I look there. Yeah, there's another bit of water. Okay, okay We're good. So hey filled we're gonna plonk this you can see depending on how close you are That just says place that'll be a normal filled but that will die It won't grow back if you do it there where it says build irrigated farm Well surprise surprise you'll get an irrigated farm So we'll do one there and then one there and these little people we're gonna tell them chop stuff gather stuff and we'll get them Building so they're working together to build this and oh goodness. Can you see the shadows? That is not good That means nighttime is coming and nighttime is where the game gets a little bit Interesting in that we get attacked sort of Minecraft esque. Yes. I know all about Minecraft now I'm an actual gamer. I know what Minecraft does now. Look, can you see over here? There's a skeleton basically He has the power to knock us out and if he does we'll lose our people for a good few hours There's another one over there and basically there's nothing we can do to defend ourselves yet We've got to come up to him military and we need to build an archer hut that will equip all of our little people With a bow and arrow. However skeletons, they take quite a bit to take him down. Obviously, they're already dead So we got to be careful. God. He's he's a bit close. He's after us. He's after did you see you see look? He's running run away run away you run away. I think I think he's lost interest So I think we'll just tell this person gather that now. Oh, look. Look, so our log shed is built there That's now filling up with logs. We're stacking logs. Oh, no, that thing is well after us though I run run run both of you run. I don't want to lose people this early on run run alien Yes, the alien can die as well. All right, this guy's completely wrecked us He's ruined our evening. Yeah, once we unlock the arch tower It means we are equipped the burn arrow as I said, and it means we can hunt deer which will help us get food But for now that guy's sort of ruined everything we were doing. So cheers me. I think he I think he's passed So I'm gonna say alien go and build that hey person go and build either of those because they need hate and then this person I'm gonna get him gathering some berries because our food's getting very low a little bit dangerous. You can see top left It's nearly the end of night. I think these arrows are where the Sun rises and sets potentially. No, perhaps not We've gone past the arrow and it's still very much night Oh god, you can see as a skeleton coming for our little child, but fear not the Sun has risen and the skeleton is dead So yeah, they only survive in the night in the day. They completely die, which is fantastic So now we can get back to building our base a bit better. Look we've built our first farm as well So that's just an infinite supply of the wheat the hay and the straw whatever you want to call it So next I want to focus on building a hay barn and I'm gonna shove that sort of there Oh look, this was the child So the child has now grown up which means we can put them to work and they'll help us get a hay barn and the hay Barn just allows us to store. Hey, that's why I put it between our housing and the farms here Lovely people complaining about lack of wood. So I'll go get them to chop alien you chop over here I'm leaving that guy collecting food because our food is going back up now And the early game you're sort of micromanaging because people that collect logs They want to take them to the log store But I want them all to build and some sort of telling them exactly what to do I don't like micromanaging in person I think just let people get on with their job But here we are do as I say not as I do right you three build that see they always want to go stack their Logs stop stacking logs build you to chop some wood. Mr. Alien. He's stacking hay and we'll have that built in no time And then we can stack hay. All right, there you go alien. I want you to be our food gatherer now I just realized I took one of you to offer food. That was a bit silly. Yeah, we're getting there now We are guessing that next I want to come into town. I want to build a house You can see that that houses two new people so they start as kids and they take a little while to grow So I'm gonna bunk that there and then you I'm gonna say build that we have a lot of berries around here I think food is actually gonna be okay. Usually I struggle for food I gotta get the archery huts out first so I can take out some of these deer We might not even need to do that at all trying to kill the old skeletons ain't easy. I'll tell you that Oh god, it's the it's the end of the day. We could be in trouble a little bit I feel like we haven't got very far and I'm scared of the skeletons. Yeah, really like the art style of this It's like a cool little hand-drawn thing, but it is completely 3d. We can move all about the place I like staying at the same angle though, just so I don't get lost. What is this 33 days left? That looks like a meteor. Oh god. Do we have 33 days to do something? I've only just noticed that and say bear in mind. I've never completed this there is there is an end I've heard but I will have to see how well we do if we get that far We might need a couple of episodes So boost your like button if you think you want to see more of this game and we'll try and do a complete Playthrough yeah nighttime is coming. So I've just got to be careful where these skeletons spawn I know each night you get more and more and it gets pretty tricky. Oh god. Oh god run run run run run run run You run as well. All right, we've got a skeleton spawn right next to us So I'm gonna say you go and chop those trees instead the good news though We have actually built our house now alien run run run run alien All right, you go pluck those berries alien you go chop wood over there. I reckon Oh guys You can't really go back right now. There's a skeleton right there. All right, I'm a bit scared that person's gonna die It's a runaway. I'm gonna say you go pluck food over that direction. We seem to be able to pluck food Okay, our crap alien alien. He is well after you see until you unlock the archery tower. You got to be very very careful Oh god. Oh god. All right. Can we put those logs down? That's it. Put them down put them down right now Look at this way. Look at this way. Oh this game this game cracks me up We're gonna leave everything as it is We just might have to sort of manage the middle cuz like you person there are heading the wrong way Go around the house this way that skeleton is after you I know the trouble is the skeletons around the back now run away run away. It's not worth it It's not even worth risking it crap alien alien alien. Oh That was so close it is like one hit kill although they don't die They just faint for like a day say what I might sort of try and lure him away with the alien Yeah, I think that's the plan. That is the idea He's like an architect very very short attention span we can easily outsmart him just by saying go away Okay, and he's dead and he's dead right put the logs back. Anyway, next thing I'm gonna build in not town in Industry, I think we're gonna build a sawmill I'm gonna shove this there next to the stack of logs and we're gonna get someone to build that who shall we do? I think mr. Alien you can be head builder I feel like the alien gets all the jobs just cuz he's like the one that sticks out the most Yeah, we still got loads loads of hay about I was actually cool grass. It's cool grass It's got three out of three hay in it. So I'm not I'm not gonna focus on getting this farm up yet Although it only needs one log and one bit of hay to get finished I think I'll just leave it partially built now you two with logs. Can you you can't build that? Alright, I think we're gonna need to build something else that needs logs Then perhaps it might be time to start building walls or maybe our Archer Hut Yeah, let's put an Archer Hut like it doesn't really matter where I think we'll just put it somewhere in the middle Maybe we'll just shove it there. Yeah, we'll just shove it there and then you can build that Alright, so it's the next evening. Oh god, there's ah, there's skeletons run away what we might do We might just harvest loads of hay just because that's sort of safe We can try and sacrifice the children as well, but the skeletons aren't really interested in them They I don't think kids can get killed by them Yes I think we'll leave those guys Stacking up hay and we'll try and just focus on two builders building these two things Because I think we do need some deer now the old food or did you see that the bar went down massively the food is going Down rapidly. So yeah, the sooner we get the archery hut the better. I might even make the alien build that instead Oh look, hey, so you can see at the farm the irrigated farm Oh, you saw it ran out of hay there and it's it's recharged because it's irrigated because it's by some water It's grown back. So that's why we plunked it over there. I'm a bit worried about this dude He's a little bit close to these guys. Oh god. He's got a scent. He's got a scent run All right, we have to lure him away whilst you're carrying wheat and so I've never done this tactic before just luring them away I usually try and go all in on the archers and then I just die because skeletons they take like I don't know like ten Hits or something to die. So unless you got like a massive group of people all archering them. It doesn't usually go very well Yeah, I think we've I think we've lured him away now. It may as well explore some of the map for this person Oh, we got it. I've got to keep an eye on that skeleton you bastard trying to sneak in All right, and next thing I've got to get some of these guys on food real quick alien go chop that food you as well Get the food meanwhile you I think you've just grown up haven't you you can build that so grab some hay get building Oh, and there's another one as well go and build. Oh, we are so close to starving I may have waited too long to get the archer hut. Hopefully the berries will satisfy us for a little bit alien What are you doing up there? He's just hiding in the bush. Look at him What are you doing? I said pluck bloody aliens. All right, there we go. We've built our archer hut, which means We take like this guy, for example, rather than plucking we can say go and hunt. Let's watch this ready So he takes a shot. Oh, they're not the best shot, which is the only thing ready ready? Yes, we got him We got to hit him twice. We want them to die. Come on one more hit. Come on. I believe in you I believe in you. No, you missed again. He shot over him ready. Oh my you are useless mate. You are absolutely useless Go on. Oh They're terrible he is terrible. All right, you got it. You got it. Oh Get closer get closer. That's it. That's it the long-range really Yeah, never gonna happen mate. Never gonna happen. Screw that one. Hunt this one. Look he's closer. He's closer Oh, you are right. Come on alien. Show us how it's done But it don't hit the alien you twat. Here we go. Look they're both after him now double-teamed. Oh my Yeah, but this is generally the best way to arch stuff you can see you can see why I didn't bother doing it Like trying to kill the skeletons as well. You nearly took that guy's eye out you idiots All right, solid. Let's take out this one because we know this one's only one hit. Oh, look that one's climbing the pyramid So there are two hunters. We'll leave everyone else doing their thing. We really need food. Come on guys There's two of you. Look how many deer there are. He took a shot. I killed him off screen. Nice All right hunt that one now if we can take him down two hits It wasn't even moving but basically deers once they're dead They pretty much just stay there and I don't think he's sort of rot or anything. Okay, there you go That's gotta be a kill. That's gotta be a kill. All right. What about this one? Yes alien. All right, so both of you gather that sausage So I'll be bringing meat back for the guys now you have run out of jobs to do So I think we'll get you chopping that wood up there. Oh, no, actually actually I'll get you doing the old sawmill I'll try and get someone else chopping wood. I don't think we need all this straw now So you you can chop wood and what I like to do whenever people are like sort of in the middle and like a deer Comes in I always try and make them take a shot. So hunt that They're always so useless. That's it. That's it. One more hit. Go on alien get involved get involved Go on alien. Oh alien. All right, he's outsmarting all of us. Go back to chopping wood. All right, you two. Come on, please That's an easy shot. Oh Ready ready? Oh One hit one hit one more one more one more. Yes. I've got some food alien You try and hunt that one. Come on alien. You're my star shooter. Ready? That's me There's no words there's no words that was a good shot though you can have that all right, it's getting close to night So I'm gonna tell these guys just try and get the ones closest. All right, so gotta be careful. There's Skeletons everywhere basically Oh God run away so that we can fight it But we're a terrible shot and when we do do damage It doesn't do a lot of damage and it makes them go really quick. Oh, we got a hit We got a hit run away run away. Oh That was close that was close quick. Oh, no, he's dead. He's dead. What the hell? How did you die? How did the alien die? He was nowhere near him We lost those two guys there and you can see recovering they take a good like most the day before they can come back So that was really dumb. I should have just left that alien. Oh, that's better than I actually was Oh dear. Anyway, look food is racking up now So I think we'll just go for wood because next we want to build a windmill and that makes bread from wheat And that'll be our main food source. I think we'll shove that up here by our heat supply I don't think we need any more food. So you rather than pillaging that dead deer I'm gonna tell you to do some building you need to run run run run run run. Oh We nearly lost another one. We nearly lost another one. It's right after you. It's on your ass Oh, no, that one did just die. Oh, where are these? Where are they coming from? All right, we got to be really careful here. We've lost three people. Oh god All right, the windmill structure is coming along though run guys run. It's nearly end of night I'm just gonna bring them over here to safety and just wait for morning because I think it's coming is the game getting lighter I can't really tell they're just my hopeful eyes. Here we go. Here we go The Sun is rising and they're dead. It's a back to building. I think one of you chop wood over there Oh god, right. So if we click on these guys, they're nearly halfway back We were gonna miss a lot of the day and you might miss all of the day Hence why we want to build walls and watchtowers and gates and maybe that's what we'll work on next not entirely sure I think for now though, we'll just try and get this windmill built and then that's easy food I think right so you can see here. We need planks in order to build the windmill So I'm gonna get you on The planks and you can just chop wood because this is our sawmill and that turns logs into planks Look these guys have just decided to come back to life So I might tell them to get the food from the deer just so we can survive another evening How long is this guy got left? He's got a little bit. It might just be evening by the time he comes back There goes back. What can we get you on? I think it's just chopped wood pretty much most people are on chopping wood because we're gonna need a lot of it at the old Sawmill person they can't do anything But I can't make you build this actually so you can take the planks you've just made and build the windmill All right. It's very nearly evening of day five things are a little bit scary Things are a little bit scary because the skeletons will be back and we know we can't really take him out unless I grab Everyone and we do a bit of clearance It's just this is the dodgy bit when the skeletons spawn trying to work out who we need to move out the way first Oh god, and it's you it's you run No, I think all of you drop your cargo and then just fight the skeleton. I think there's enough of you We can take him out. Yes. Go on one more hit one more hit. It's him. Oh, that was close We nearly lost someone there and apart from that we might be okay So I'm just gonna tell them all to chop wood except for one of you alien. You can build that right? That's good Though we've got like no skeletons around our area. The skeleton spawn has been very kind They've all spawned over there, which we're not bothered about We do have some food up there that I wouldn't mind getting at some point. But for now, we're good I'm wondering if I need to start doing walls because that will keep the skeletons out Only one hit it there's four of them shooting Yes. Okay. We got it. We got it. That's just like bonus food for later. We have completely cleared this area I'm thinking about planning some walls, you know, so we could go like along there All right, and we've survived another night. Tell you what, I might tell this guy to start building some of the walls Yeah, how far off is the windmill? Just two more planks. Nice alien just plopped one down as well Alright, so there you go. The windmill is complete. So I might put someone on that So you, you now make bread, which means they're gonna need a constant supply of wheat I think it's sort of two wheat farmers per one baker So we'll put both of you on doing that and everyone else can be doing the wood stuff Alright, so my wall plan is sort of defend half my land So if I can get all of that done, I only need to worry about this side. Alright, this is going well This is going very well.
