Another Ditch Kitten Showed Up At Greg's!

Well, hello happy girl. Say good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience! You are all wet! Was dad playing with you with the hose? You are soaking wet! Oh my goodness! I did not expect you to be all wet when I came out here to pet you. That's why you're out here basking in the sun. Probably feels amazing! She's like, yep, pretty amazing. I feel pretty great. Oh my goodness! Well, I was gonna have you come inside cause I gotta run to the bank. But maybe you'll stay out here for a little bit cause you're wet. Dad's here with you, so he'll probably stay out here. There you go. I dried you off a little bit. Got you inside. It's really nice outside today. Jamie and I are doing something absolutely crazy today. Something we've actually talked about doing for years and years and years and years and years. Today's the day it's happening. So we're gonna take you along on this insane ride. If you watched the live stream on what was it? June 20th? 21st. June 21st we did a live stream. We said we were doing something crazy today. Today's the day. We're doing something crazy. No, it's not a puppy. Quit assuming we're getting a dog. This wasn't the big surprise, but this apparently is the other surprise. I didn't know Greg was stopping by. Look, you got a new ditch kitten. New ditch kitten. Just what I needed. Should we do like we did with Chewy that we did it? You know, let the internet name the cat. That was Weechie. You're right. I had some ideas. There's been a couple floated by. It is your cat. It's Greg's mom's cat. Yvette suggested Eleanor because she has two different cats. Oh my gosh, that's awesome. It can't be Eleanor. That's hilarious. I don't think she knew who I was. She may not have. Yeah, it can't be Eleanor. They suggested Iris. Oh, that's cute too. I suggested Kiwi because of the book I'm reading. There's a one-eyed character in that book. I like that too. Oh, you are skin and bones. I feel your little bony skin. So little. Well, she definitely found the right people. She's already gotten wet food and churros. You're going to be spoiled. Yeah, I bet. You're going to be spoiled. And she rides in the car better than any kitty I've ever had. Really? We thought we forgot her halfway here. You sure that cat's in there? Put her back in there before she freaks out. We're going to go back inside. Yeah, so that wasn't the big thing Jamie and I were doing today. Greg has a couple of clips. This kitten kind of just showed up in their driveway just a couple of days ago. It has a weird eye thing going on. Looks cute as can be. But his mom wanted a kitten and the cat distribution system provided. Here's a couple of other clips Greg had of the adorable kitten. Can I see your eye? The diagnosis is whatever is wrong with your eye is probably from a previous infection. It is no longer infected and that might be permanent discoloring or misshapen iris. Other than that she's healthy. We're going to get her a dewormer and test her for some feline HIV and all that. And then home we'll go. Okay, now we're going to go do the other crazy thing that is happening today. Which I will also explain later. I told the internet we did a crazy thing. We bought a house. We bought a property. It has a house on it. Oh my gosh, what are we thinking? Look! Daisies! There's flowers! There's purple flowers too. Yeah, so we apparently bought this and apparently there's a bees nest in there. I think we're going to fix it up and hopefully Jamie's dad's going to move in here. That's the tentative plan. I'll explain it all later but this is the crazy thing we did today. So most of you guys know that a couple years ago Jamie's dad moved down here from the UP and we've been trying to find a permanent place for him to live, like an actual place for him to live which has been very difficult to do and we found this fixer-upper for sale by owner and we've been putting money away to try to buy something for sale by owner. So we bought a house and Jamie's going to fix it up and hopefully his dad's going to move in there. His dad's going to help him. There's like a whole bunch of stuff. I'm sure you guys will see it more in the vlog. But that is the crazy thing that we did today. Between that and Greg getting a kitten, oh my gosh, it's been a day. I tell you what. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. We... That house went up for sale on Facebook Marketplace a few days ago. We went and looked at it. If you guys don't know, my dad is a licensed contractor. My brother owns a contracting company and Jamie used to do contracting for years and years and years and years. It's one of the ways he knows how to fix all the things in the house. That's what he did for a long time. So between all of us, we do have the skills to bring the house back to life. And yes, it looks very rough. I didn't take you guys inside yet. We want to clean out some of the inside. There was some stuff left behind and things like that. If you don't know anything about houses, the one thing we did notice about this house is the bones of the house are very solid. Yes, the outside looks rough. It needs a grass cut. We need to do all that. We got to do a roof. We got to do siding. We're going to do the inside. You guys look lazy. You want to go outside? You want to go outside? Let's go outside. It's way more fun out there. Let's go outside! So yeah! That's the crazy thing we did today. We bought a house off of Facebook Marketplace. We signed everything at the title company today. So it is officially ours today. And I got everything transferred over. So I guess everybody that I've told has been making the joke that Jamie needs to start his own YouTube channel for fixing up this old house. But I have a feeling you'll see bits and pieces of that here. Cause you know, that's just what we needed. It's another project. Actually in reality we needed a good distraction and I think it's going to be a good distraction for the next couple of weeks. That's for sure! Oh! Biggest stretch on the planet! Oh! Biggest stretch both ways! Come on! Let's go outside! Let's go outside! That will be way more fun in here. Look! Our little set up for our fun outside fire stream live stream that we did last night is still set up. I was telling Jamie I'm like, we should do more of those live streams. That was really fun. So, might happen. We'll see. Might have to do some more. Wow! It went from really nice out to really windy. I was debating on getting the dogs in the pool, but holy cow! What are you doing? What? Hi! What? Are you grass napping? Say, I'm grass napping! That was you in Memphis' favorite thing, wasn't it? Grass nap. You're grass rolling. You're like, there's probably a dead worm right here. So anyway, I posted today actually, earlier today I posted a picture of Kira and I said, Kira is officially the queen. She's not a princess anymore guys. Do you think we should have a coronation for her? Is it coronation day? You can be Elsa and you can be Anna. It's coronation day! And rolling in the worm. Rolling in the worm. But anyway, yeah, I was kind of making the post about Kira officially becoming a queen. Memphis has passed the torch. You're the oldest and you're the doofiest. Oh my goodness. Now I'll say it to Kira. I'll be like, yeah, none of this puppy stuff. Although Kira, we watched you do the puppy stuff last night on the live stream when you ran around like crazy with your sister. Oh my goodness. Does it smell good? Do you smell like worm yet? She's like, you guys don't understand. This is like high value perfumes. Roll in it and smell like this high value perfumes. Oh, the queen wants some. Eleanor's like, yeah well, I don't have to listen to her. Yeah, you probably should though. Drop the worm! You picked it up again. She took it away from you. She took it over there to roll in it. She literally moved it so you couldn't have any of it. Eleanor? Oh, Kira's looking. Kira's like, maybe? Maybe? Oh my goodness. You're both crazy. Both of you. Oh, I can see it. I was going to say, I can see it. I can see it building. Eleanor, let her have a sniff at it. Kira's like, no thank you. No thank you. I can't say it to you yet. The none of that puppy stuff. Cause you're not old enough for that yet. But that is definitely puppy stuff happening over there. Oh, she might find it now. It's right over there. There it is. They're rolling in what is best known as wormy perfume. And the best part is, Eleanor kept picking up said wormy and moving it. There! Kira got it. She kept moving it so Kira couldn't get it. She's like, oh this is the best perfume. Dad, you should try this. It's right here. It's right here. Eleanor, let her have her moment. It's right there too. Eleanor's like, Eleanor's been smearing it. Yeah, smear it Kira. Eleanor picked it up and moved it a whole bunch of times so Kira couldn't roll in it. This is my wormy. Dad, you should roll in it. Dad, roll in the worm with us. Eleanor's got it in her mouth. It's a dried worm. Show it to Kira and she'll try to rub your hand I bet. No, don't eat it. Don't eat it. It's just a dried up worm. It's literally all it is. Nope, they're going back to the spot. Yeah, going in the compost. Goofy dogs. Oh my gosh, it already looks so much better. It was driving us nuts that the house looked... I mean, we can't fix this super fast but it was driving us nuts that the grass looked so bad so Jamie and I decided to come back out here real quick and cut the grass which turned out to be not so quick. We should have brought the riding lawn mower. But we're back out at the fixer-upper. We are going to do siding and a roof so we don't have to worry about all this paint and stuff. You can see the old, old siding over there that the house used to have. Which is crazy. Reminds me of the ranch at Greg's house. But yeah, we're out here doing a little bit of work. What? Would you like... You want to go look for bunnies? Look at me, I look like a seal. Thank you for the woos. Alright, let's go look for bunnies. Let's go. She's like, I'm going to rip all this down. You don't move faster. Go, go, go. She's like, ok, see you later. I'm going. She's like, yeah, but maybe not. Where are you going? Come on, let's go. Oh my goodness, we made it back to walk the doggos. I see a bunny. Do you see it? Oh, I see a bunny too. It's windy. It's very windy. There's a bunny. Right up there. Let's see if they see it. Oh, he sure did. You missed that bunny. It was all the way over here though. Holy windy. Now they're like, wait, but you said there was a bunny. We weren't lying, he was right there. Yep. Elmer's like, maybe I can smell him. Is he over here? Is there a bunny over here? If you listen, he might even be in the woods over here. Oh yeah. You smell that bunny? He's in there. There's a bunny. Alright, come on, let's go. Elmer's like, but no, I hear it now. Come on, let's go. Come on Kira. We'll go find another bunny. Maybe, I don't know. Hopefully we'll find another bunny. Still looking for more bunny. I bet they like them purple clovey flowers. Squirrel on telephone pole. I don't see no squirrel. I saw a bird. Look at them purple flowers. Those are pretty. Is that clover? I don't know, is it? I don't know what those are. I don't see clover there. Oh, Kira sees a squirrel. You see the squirrel? Is he up there? She's like, I have spotted said squirrel. She's like, dad, pay attention. I'll show you right where he is. Don't go in that wet ditch. I didn't film it, but yesterday I was sitting out in the yard with the dogs and Kira was sitting underneath the maple tree, staring. So I went over there and I sat on the grass with her and looked up and there was a little tiny baby red squirrel up in the tree looking down at us. Wasn't moving. Just looking at us. I said, oh, you really do see something. Usually she does. Made it all the way back without seeing any more bunnies, but there was a squirrel in the front yard just now. See him? Go over there and see him? That's a bird. No, that's a leaf. I thought this was a bird. There's the bunny! There's the bunny. Oh my goodness, we came over here and there's the bunny. Wow! You see the bunny yet? It's over there. I'm pretty sure that's our bunny. You see it? Oh, there! I wonder if that's where they had their eggs. You see the bunny yet, Kira? She doesn't see it. Eleanor doesn't see it. Neither of them see it. Jamie's like, look this way. You see it yet? Right there. There's the bunny. Oh, Eleanor's doing stompies. Are you stomping? I think Eleanor saw the doves move. Not the bunny. There's a bunny over there, sweetheart. Alright, let's walk them that way a little bit. They're confused because they don't know where they're going. Oh, there goes the doves. We weren't trying to scare the doves. Oh, Kira sees them now. Oh, she does. Now she's like, but the doves. But the bunny. Bunny, bunny, bunny, bunny. There he goes! It's like he lives under our shed and the neighbor's shed. Yeah, he's got a condominium. Alright, come on. Let's go back. Bessie, Bessie. Let's go. At least we found out where the doves are living too. Yes, the poor side of our yard. I know. Yeah, the fire bushes are nice, but the hostas aren't hosta anymore. No. Yeah. Okay, to the house. Oh wait, we're at the house. In the house! You two are the weirdest dogs when it comes to bedtime without Memphis around. You pass by the treat jar. You don't even seem to care.
