I'm going out in the van for the year. I'm getting,
I've got a lot to talk to you about, to be honest, I believe.
Let's go to our park and we'll talk.
I believe this is going to be my ultimate park.
That is, I believe this is my up-and-running park for the year.
It's one of the car parks,
for the canal, pub there.
Good evening, and the first thing I'm going to do is go back there and write to you.
It's Saint water.
That is, this place is really a tip for water.
I've been, well, yesterday afternoon,
I was going to the camp for the last day,
I was at camp with a friend. I thought it was my own day.
I was feeling quite well, yes, it was a good day.
I think I must have filmed it, but of course, it was a weekday.
But in between, we had an environment and writings and things, and yes,
That's what was happening during the filming.
I was just thinking. If it were to happen, I'd have put it in here.
In the van for the moving firm, oh, it's hot in here.
That's good. I'm doing this in the meadow,
Money is the world in the UK.
It's a good day, I'm not trying,
I absolutely love it. I've stayed here for a couple of nights. It's my birthday today.
and so I'm meeting up with a friend at a campsite in Yorkshire and it is wonderful here. Let me
Let me show you our setup. So there are basically two small areas we could choose from.
This place that's a bit more shady, with the trees and everything, which is lovely, or this place here
That's full sun. We chose full sun. This is us down here.
You want to be in Rowan's vlog?
Grass, gravel, natural deterrent.
Come here.
Oh no. It's going to lightning. It's going to lightning. What? What should have been the sign?
It was a sign. We didn't need to take note, did we? It's raining now. That's the time to take note.
Do you think that's it for the night? I don't mean drinking, I mean rain, wet weather.
This is the van life gamer in his natural habitat. He is known for doing shady DIY van builds.
on YouTube and Facebook. What will he do next? That. Right there. His best. See, I told you it was
His best. That's what he has for his best. He's now going to filter through different kinds of stuff.
To see which one he wants to have. Who's monetized? This is how he talks in the wild.
Good idea, van life gamer. Let's explore. Let's get a close-up and see this beast. Close up.
The diet.
This is the diet. Well, a bit of a downpour there, but looks like the sun is back out.
You found your buzzing? Yeah, come here. Come in here. You can have some of me because you don't
Come here. I'm welcomed into the cave. Oh, it looks nice and clean. Oh, that's a good thing.
Yeah, it was a lovely weekend, but when it was time to leave, I literally just picked everything up.
and just threw everything into the van. So I've got camp chairs, firewood, stuff just tossed in
Absolutely everywhere, all over the place. So I need to get a little bit organized back here.
and today I am feeling absolutely wonderful because I am a free woman for a week. I am going
I'm going to Silverstone this weekend as I'm recording this weekend. I don't know when this
The video will go up, but I'm heading to Silverstone to watch the F1. My son and I go every year.
and so the foster children have gone to some other foster carers while we go and they've
Just left this afternoon. I think they'll be fine, as we've been to visit the foster carers.
And they're lovely. These are the foster carers they're going to, and I think that'll be fine.
I think they'll have a nice time, to be honest. I think they'll have a nicer time than when they're
them because I think they're kind of fed up with me, to be honest. There are too many rules in
my house, but um, yeah, they've gone, so I've got tonight, and then we leave tomorrow, so I
I figured I'd just come out in the van tonight. We're taking the van down to Silverstone so
I've gotten out of the van, sort of organized it a bit. I can do some work in the van.
Get organised. We've wanted to go to Silverstone and just, yeah, relax for the night on my own.
and very much looking forward to it. My plan is just to stay in the van really. Might go for a little
Canal Walk, we'll see about that, but for now I just need to, yeah, get tidied up in here.
There's stuff everywhere. What was I thinking? I feel like I've lost my chair.
I've got a new camera. I'm on it now. It's, um, a little DJI Pocket Osmo device.
I'm loving it so far, to be honest. Comes with this cute little case. I'm, um, I'm back to having my bed.
The full bed you can see. Last time I made it into a single, and I really did like it.
and I spent one night in it, and I don't know, but then when I went camping, I needed
it to be a double, so it's a double for now. I think when we go to Silverstone I'm going to take
Take out the little extra one and just be single again. I have so many bags.
Here. So many. So many bottles of cherry poke, actually. Right, some semblance of tidiness.
It's just started to rain. It's lovely. I love it when it's raining in the van.
Do you have any tips, though? I've got my windows open a little bit at the front, like cracked open.
Not too much, otherwise the rain's going to come in, but it's boiling. I just thought I had
Shorts in the van, but I don't have any, so I'm just taking my jeans off. I'm sitting in my knickers.
Excuse me. Um, but how can I? Is there a way to stay cool in the van when it's raining outside?
I was just about to fling my door open. Nice, but I don't want to fling my door open now.
It's just tough.'aut got to be wet or hot. I don't know. Uh, right, I'm gonna edit a bit of it.
Two-channel stuff. I feel like I might have overemphasized the fact that I had so much to tell you.
I don't think I have anything left. I feel like that's all. The fact that the kids have gone for
A week. I'm going to Silverstone, and that's probably all I had to tell you, and that I had.
to tidy the van and I went away for my birthday. That's all I had to tell you. I hope that was
Interesting for you. Let's do a bit of work for an hour or so, or to be honest, I'm going to
probably work. I want to get loads done because I'm going to Silverstone for
However many days it is, it's going to be five days. I don't want to do anything while I'm there. I
I want to just completely forget. Well, that's a lie. I'm going to film a video about it.
because the channel is like cheap food, I'm going to film a video about how we
Save money when we're at Silverstone. Um, other than that, I don't want to be doing any editing.
or anything while I'm there. So I want to try to get ahead of myself a little bit.
We'll see how well that works. My camera. My camera's acting up. Well, I don't think it's
My camera, actually. I think it's the SD card. I think the SD card isn't good enough. I'm back.
On my phone. I need to solve that. More problems. Look at this rain. I think I'm quite lucky. Oh no
I thought I was quite lucky that it was coming from the front. Let me. I need to close this.
Because I'm getting wet in here. Where are the keys? I can still keep that window open.
I'll be in that spot over there, but I don't think they're moving. I was about to go for a little
wander. Show you around, but I don't have a coat with me. We'll see what happens. I might go out in
The rain. I don't mind a bit of rain, to be honest, but not right now. I'm going to cook up that pizza.
For me, dinner in a bit. I bought it as part of a food channel video, so I thought I
might as well bring it tonight for a nice, quick, and easy dinner. Time for pizza. The problem with
Cooking pizza in the van is a challenge—I only have this tiny little air fryer that fits. Oh my god, it's
Actually disgusting. Yeah, dirty girl. I accept that title. Oh dear. Um, yeah, it only fits like
A third of it in, so you've got to cook it bit by bit, but that's okay.
I always find there's too much cheese on bought pizzas. I like, honestly, like cheap ones.
cheap-ass pizzas that don't have much cheese on them. So I always scrape off loads of
Turn it off. This is why I have a budget food channel. I always scrape those off.
and stick it in the thing in the plastic and save it for something else. Pizza with enough
cheese that I like, and extras to take home with me. Cheese on toast for tomorrow's lunches.
It turns out only a quarter fits in. Just don't judge me on that mess, all right.
Let's get it going.
Oh lovely. I found some shorts. I'll put them on instead of just sitting here.
in my knickers. So I'm thinking, let me just turn this football down in the background. Um, I'm
I think I'll finish my pizza. It's stopped raining. It's lovely now. I might go for a drive.
I am, actually. I'm going to drive over to the pub. Let me show you this spot first. Here's the van.
It's nice. Some statue. It's nice here by the canal, but I don't know. I'm going to go and drive.
over there and see. To be honest, I'm just heading off to go and uh check out that other spot. Like I don't
I don't know why it matters. This spot is perfectly fine. I don't even know why I'm
Bothering to move, but... I just thought I'd go and have a little look. Fudgy bumpiness.
Who's this place? I don't know. I just feel like this place is just a little bit nicer.
Oh bless the little ducks. See them having a little bath in the puddle or whatever they're doing.
Doing. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you. Carry on. I'll go around you. Carry on. Carry on.
So yeah, here's this spot. I don't know. I just kind of like this spot better. I don't want to
Take the piss out of the. Oh look, they've all gone back to the. They've all gone back. I don't want
to make fun of it. I don't know whether the pub is actually open. Oh, it looks like it is
Open. There are lights on. I don't always do it, but I like the idea. I just have my door open a little.
A little bit, and that's nice for me. Just have that evening while I finish watching the putty.
Have a nice evening. Do some work and stuff. I couldn't do it in the other place. I've just
I've been texting back and forth with the foster carers who have the children for the week.
While I'm gone. It's a funny thing, because I know I've talked about it—I think quite a bit.
on this channel of kind of being feeling like I'm done with fostering and everything and being
Really stressed with the children I have at the moment, and not because anything particularly serious
It's not so much about the children, but more because they're a two-year-old and a one-year-old, and it's hard work.
on your own and things, but I can't help myself from feeling quite emotional about the fact
that they're with other people for a week and you know, little things can just set a kid off
off of, like, you know, I just want it to be as smooth as possible for them, to be honest. Like
These foster carers are wonderful, and they're doing so much. They have so many like
different toys and little odds and ends for them. I just hope they're okay. I'm sure they will be. I'm sure
They will be. I'm running into issues. I don't know why. I don't know where it is. I can't watch it.
Football here. It's lovely and peaceful just as it is here. I'm heading back to the other spot.
Oh my goodness. You just have to pick your battles sometimes. Sometimes the scenery and views
or whatever wins. Peace and quiet, and sometimes oh excuse me, I was getting into the front seat.
and sometimes, um, Sickler wins. Sickler wins tonight, and to be honest
To be honest, I feel better about not parking in a pub car park. I'm not going in and using their facilities.
facilities. I don't really like doing that. I like to um, at least go in and have a drink when
I use their car park to stay overnight, which I'm not planning to do this evening, so
I don't know what the spot seems to be. The better call is apparently a door opening.
Good news—I can watch the footy here. Perfect. Well, it's about past the point of being just a pub seeker.
That's excellent. This is the best thing, the absolute best thing in the World Cup for me. I love Norway.
It's the drama of it all that I absolutely love. That's amazing.
So awesome.
Good morning. I had a wonderful sleep. I didn't get to bed until
Super late. It was really super late for me. It was around midnight.
It's about half past seven now. Just had a little morning walk along the canal. It's lovely.
Okay, to be honest, it's a little bit chilly. I thought about putting on my jacket. I thought
No, it feels uh, it feels nice and it is quite nice, but not nice enough for this top, so I'm
I'm heading back. I've just been sitting here working all morning. This food channel is insane.
Man, I'm just on the Facebook page for it, and every time I look down there's like nine plus
notifications from people liking, commenting, and other interactions on the videos. I'm so pleased with how
It's going. I honestly couldn't beat this. It's incredible. Look at this. Look, I've
Just opened it again. I've got this. Notifications. Notifications here. It's just crazy. This is
just on the Facebook page, not the actual YouTube channel, but it's doing so well and
I'm absolutely thrilled. I could never have even hoped for something like this— I don't know, three or four weeks ago.
One thing I'm absolutely loving about the channel, though, is that it's like it feels like a
a proper little community where people are sharing things like their budgeting food tips and the like
It's just so nice, and fingers crossed it's turning into something that can soon eventually
replace my fostering income. We'll see. I think I'm going to head back home now. I've got to
Well, take my son to the hospital, and then I've got to get organised and sorted out for Silverstone.
I'm so excited, but yeah, thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you next time.
