Some storms are possible later this afternoon

today's chance for some rain showers because unlike the last couple of days we will see rain return. It will not affect all of us the same but some spots will probably see a couple of heavier thunderstorms and the timing of it is like two o'clock in the afternoon to like eight p.m. Tonight. So that's going to be our main window for some more active weather and you'll see those chances for rain showers jumping up 50% 50% thirties and forties taking us through the remainder of the late afternoon early evening. That's our window for the stronger storms. So let's talk a little bit more about those stronger storms. If they do develop over you, the biggest threats are going to be gusty winds and some heavier rain. Now, smaller hail is also a possibility. You can't rule that out completely just because the dynamics are there. I mean, we have the instability, we have the atmospheric lift and we do have a lot of moisture in the air as the humidity is slightly higher out there today. But some good news long term with the humidity is as temperatures go up through the seven day forecast and we're gonna show you that in a second, the humidity really does not spike all that bad. So it's not terribly muggy as we move into next week, even though temperatures are gonna climb back up into the nineties. Here's 10 a.m. So watch those showers and storms start to push across the state again, affecting us in that window of two o'clock to eight o'clock lingering showers and thunderstorms may that affect us as we move overnight, but it's probably gonna be more of the isolated variety at that time and then some isolated showers possible on friday as well. That's gonna end it then for us. So moving into the weekend, we're gonna be on the drier side after some of these spotty storms today, 88 degrees will go 84 with a shower storm lingering on friday, especially for areas that are farther south and then it's looking dry as we move through next week. At least the first half of next week looks drier but hotter for sure. I mean 94 degrees on Tuesday, that is gonna be a warmer day.
