I Tried Bangladesh's Most Famous Foods 🇧🇩

Today we are in one of the craziest countries in the world, Bangladesh, and we're gonna go try some of the local dishes. Let's go. Apparently this is a very famous restaurant here in Bangladesh. Hello brother. Yeah, but apparently this is a very famous place here in Bangladesh, Dhaka. We're gonna go try some of the local dishes. The first spot, they weren't ready for us, we had to come back in an hour. So I think we're gonna go to this spot, try some chicken biryani, some famous chicken biryani. Maybe behind the scenes as well, but I'll update you guys when we get inside. Look what it looks like outside, you can see all the rickshaws here. It's a famous holiday right now, I believe it's the Eid after Ramadan holiday, so there's absolutely nobody here. It's very empty here in Dhaka right now, which is a good time for us to make some content. Let's go see the kitchen inside. I believe this place is a very famous restaurant here in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Let's go try some of the chicken biryani. Okay guys, we have just arrived to the most famous restaurant in Bangladesh, The Star Hotel. Let's go try it out. So apparently this place is very famous here in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the place is extremely crowded right now. Hello. He's very famous. Yes, very famous. What's your name? Nice to meet you. Okay, we just gotta wait 5-10 minutes to get the food, so I'll update you guys when we get the food. Let's check out the menu. Which one the best one? Are you going to try one food or a variety? I think one dish is good and a garlic naan. Okay, then you should try mutton kachi with kebab and garlic naan with what? Okay. Garlic naan with… You are going to have garlic naan with grilled chicken or mutton roast? I think grilled chicken? Grilled chicken. Yeah. One piece, right? Yes, one piece. We ordered the grilled chicken with garlic naan biryani. It's going to come out in 5-10 minutes, so I'll update you guys when it gets here. There's the grilled chicken. Look at that. Not sure what this one is. It looks absolutely amazing. I think we're still waiting on the chicken biryani. It should come out in about a couple more minutes. Thank you. Here we have our mutton biryani. We got the beef kebab as well. It looks absolutely amazing. You can see all that rice in there. You can see the potatoes. I'm not sure where the mutton is. It's somewhere in here. There's the big piece of mutton. I'm not entirely sure what mutton is. It doesn't look quite good. Can't wait to try it. And we also have some garlic naan. Looks very good. We got some carrots and some garlic on top. Can't wait to try that as well. And of course, we got the grilled chicken. Looks absolutely amazing. I'm not sure what this one is. Maybe some sort of salad. Let's go for a bite of the mutton. I think we need to cut it up, but we don't have a knife. So let's just go for a bite of this one. Cheers. Wow. That meat is so juicy, so tender. It just dissolves in your mouth. And that rice is so good. Let's go for another bite. First time ever trying mutton. It's actually quite delicious. You also have this lime. I'm not sure if you're supposed to put it on the biryani, but let's do it anyway. Let's try this beef kebab as well. Cheers. Very delicious. It's got like so much vegetables in there. I'm not sure what that green is. I think some sort of parsley. But it is extremely crispy. Very hot. Very delicious. Let's go for another bite of the mutton. I'm not sure if mutton is part of a cow or what it is, but it's absolutely delicious. So tender that meat just falls apart. It's very flavorful. Let's try this garlic naan bread out. Cheers. Very good. Extremely crispy. I've never had anything like this before. It's so delicious. I love that garlic and those carrots. I'm not sure if that's carrots or what it is, but it's so good. Put some like butter on top. Let's try this grilled chicken out with the garlic naan. I'm not sure if we're supposed to do this in Bangladesh, but we're going to do it anyway. Cheers. This chicken is perfectly well done. It's so juicy. You can see all the juices coming out of that chicken. It's so good. Very charcoaled. Let's go for another bite. So good. Very flavorful chicken. Let's go for a bite of this cucumber. How many of you guys drank this mutton? A 10 out of 10. So delicious. First time ever trying it. So good. You guys know I cannot eat the eggs. I do not like eggs at all. But I've never had that before. Absolutely delicious. So tender. Let's go for another bite of this naan. Look at this massive potato. So good. That potato is perfectly cooked. And we got one final dish for you guys to try. I'm not sure what this one is. I'm not sure if we're supposed to dip the garlic naan in here, but I think this is sort of yogurt with some onions, cucumbers, and I believe some jalapenos or something. It's green. Let's go for a bite of this one. I think it's going to be very sour. Cheers. That is so sour. We got to wash it down with this one. Oh, that's also very sour. But apparently this is supposed to be very good for your digestive system. So it's going to help us digest all this food. Nothing gets better than this in Bangladesh. The food is absolutely amazing. If you guys haven't tried out the Star Hotel yet, definitely recommend here in Dhaka, Bangladesh. So good. That food is absolutely amazing. Let's go for one more bite of the mutton. Cheers. Looks absolutely amazing. I think it's called kachori. It also has some eggplants here. Look at that fresh eggplant. Let's put it onto the rice. I think it's got a banana leaf on it too. Look at that. Fresh eggplant. Onto the kachori. I think this is some sort of spicy sauce. Let's put it on the rice. Mix it all up. Alright, let's try this rice. That eggplant. The kachori. Cheers. Oh, that is so spicy but so good. You can see that eggplant. Let's go for a bite of the eggplant. Never had eggplant in my life. Let's go. That's extremely good. Not even sure what eggplant is. But it is extremely tasty. Very flavorful. I think they put loads of butter on it. It tastes honestly like an artichoke. Let's go for another bite. That rice and the lentils are so delicious. I love the parsley on there too. And that spicy sauce gives it that extra zip. Let's try the chicken kachori. You can see all the chicken and the peppers. And I believe this is some sort of chili pepper. Let's try this chicken. Look at that. Looks so spicy. Cheers. So spicy but so good. You can see loads of that chili. This is so spicy. But that sauce is amazing with that chicken. Perfectly well done. Very flavorful. Very delicious. Let's try the beef. This looks absolutely amazing. It's got so much sauces. Look at that meat in there. Let's put some of this on here. Here we have the beef and the rice with the sauce. Let's put all this sauce on here. Look at that. Looks absolutely amazing. Let's go for a bite of the beef and the rice. Cheers. That beef is so tender. I think they've been marinating it all day. It's so delicious. Let's go for a bite of that eggplant. This beef is so good. Probably the best thing on their menu. But it's very spicy. Let's go for one bite. This rice is an absolute 10 out of 10. You can see all that flavor in there. That sauce. So good. I think that's some sort of green beans as well. Let's go for one more final bite of this. So delicious. So spicy but so good. You guys know I love my spice. We got one final dish for you guys. It's the main event. It's this one. I'm not even sure how to eat it. I think it's a giant prawn or a lobster. Look at that. You can see it just come right out of the coconut. I've never seen anything quite like this before. This is a giant prawn in this coconut. It's got some limes. I believe some mint leaves as well. It's even got it on its head. Let's take it out of the coconut shell. Look at that giant prawn. Look at that. So much flavor. I think we just have to break the head like this. I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. Probably not. Look at all that meat in there. My hands are covered in prawn meat. But let's take off all the shells. So messy but looks so delicious. Look at all that meat from one giant prawn. Looks absolutely delicious. Let's dunk it in this sauce. Cheers. Absolutely delicious. So good. That sauce is so spicy but it gives it that little zip to it. Makes the prawn even taste better. The prawn is extremely juicy but it's covered our hands. It's so messy. Let's go for a final bite. Definitely messy but I'm going to have to rank the prawn an easy 10 out of 10. So delicious. And we also got a coconut. I'm not sure if there's any coconut juice in there. Probably not. But overall this meal was absolutely delicious. We're going to finish up here. I'm going to have to rank this meal an easy 10 out of 10 again. The food in Bangladesh is amazing. And they even gave us some napkins on the house. So good. Look how giant this prawn is. Look how big the legs are of this prawn. Absolutely gigantic. I've never seen a bigger prawn than this. Look at its face. It's got even a little hair thing with the mince. But apparently it's made with the coconut water. It's so delicious. It tastes like coconut filled with that absolutely best prawn meat I've ever had. So good. I'm going to easily have to rank this food here an easy 10 out of 10. Go check them out. So delicious. The food was absolutely amazing. This one honestly probably the best one. We have one more final dish to try. This dessert dish kind of looks like applesauce with some cashews or something like that. Let's go for a bite of this one. Look at that. Looks absolutely delicious. Let's go for a bite. It's like a honey. I'm not sure how to describe it. It's like an applesauce with a bunch of honey and that cashews. So delicious but so sticky at the same time. It's got a very sticky texture. Let's go for another bite. So good. This might be the best dessert I've had here in Bangladesh so far. Easy 10 out of 10. Go check out this place if you guys have it in Bangladesh. Cheers. Let's see how much the bill was. Oh ----. I think it's roughly 20 minutes away. So let's head out over there right now. We gotta find our rickshaw to get to the restaurant. Hopefully we don't get scammed. We have just found a Surji. This place looks pretty nice. Kind of like a tiki style. We're going to go see inside the restaurant. Apparently it's supposed to be a really cool atmosphere. So let's go check it out. Let's go check out the restaurant. These are really cool. The dhadka. It is pretty cool. It's like hippie. I think there's a rooftop too. Yeah okay. We're going to go towards the rooftop now. We got this other level here. We officially made it to the rooftop. Let's go check it out. Look at this. Cats just chilling. So many people just eating dinner or lunch. I think this is the bar area up here. Going to order some food. I think we can go up this way too. Let's go check out up here. This is the second level to the rooftop. Very interesting set up in dhadka. It's like the chill out area. Middle of dhadka. Very nice area up here. Got a nice little view. Some nice trees. We're getting the cheetah roti and the pula pate sweets. I think it's like $700 which is like $5 USD. Not too bad. We're going to go order the food right now. Kichuri and tehari is ready to serve. Juice and tea. Are you going to have kichuri or tehari? Whatever one's available now. Okay. Okay and that's ready now? Okay. I'll take one. One mushroom tehari and what? The sweets. It will take 40 minutes. What about the other sweets? Same. I'll just do the one item. You can try juice. Juice? Okay. Juice. Coconut blend and coconut milkshake and watermelon ice tea. Let's do a coconut shake and the watermelon. Yes. You have to pay first. Let me get my money. I'm not sure how much it's going to cost. Look at our boy just sleeping away right here. You can see the big rice here and we also got some mushrooms with I believe some basil and that chili sauce. Looks absolutely amazing. Let's try this one out. I think this is called rita. Let's go for a bite of the mushroom tahari. We have so much going on on this platter. Let's go for a bite. That mushroom is so tender. So good. It's got like a little bit of a kick to it too. It's a little bit spicy but not overly poweringly spicy. That mushroom is cooked perfectly. It's also got some basil leaves. I'm not sure what this one is. I think it's called rita. I think it's a little sauce. So let's put some onto this dish here. The mushroom tahara. Let's go for a bite of this with the sauce. Cheers. I think this has some carrots and some yogurt. It's absolutely delicious. Let's try this mushroom here. I think this is a mushroom. A giant mushroom. Cheers. Honestly, super good. I love that sauce. So delicious. It's like a sweet tangy sauce. Not spicy at all. Super delicious. It kind of tastes like meat but it's all vegetable at this restaurant. This restaurant is completely vegetarian but this tastes honestly like some chicken. It's extremely good. Little bit sweet and tangy. Let's go for another bite. So good. Let's try our watermelon juice here. Got this giant thing of watermelon juice. That's so delicious. Very refreshing on this very hot day here in Bangladesh. I think it's around 90 degrees here. So good. It has ice in it so I'm not sure how safe the ice is but it's actually quite tasty. I'm about to rate this one a 7 out of 10 and we also got one more drink for you guys. The coconut drink. Let's try this one out. Oh that one tastes like a milkshake. It's actually really tasty. It's like a coconut milkshake. Very sweet. Oh that's good. I'm about to rate this one a 10 out of 10. Very delicious. It's very milky and coconut flavor. I love coconut. Let's go for another bite of this one. Get some of this sauce and this. I'm not sure what this one is. Let's try this one out as well. Overall this food is absolutely amazing. It's perfectly cooked. I'm about to rank this meal a 10 out of 10. Again the food in Bangladesh is amazing. I've never had this type of food before and it's brand new to me. It's so good. I love this coconut shake as well but this is the best thing. The rice definitely. I'm usually not the biggest fan on mushrooms but it's absolutely delicious. Overall this meal 8 out of 10. Cheers. The 2nd one was the best and the 3rd one was the 3rd best. Honestly, great food I've never had in my entire life. That mutton was absolutely amazing. Definitely have to try that. It was so flavorful.
