Everyone. Today's cool house brings us to a very unique part of town right in
midtown phoenix in a really charming neighborhood. This is kelly hobart
kelly. Good to see you. Good to see you. So last thanks for coming. Absolutely.
What part of town are we in? What's the name of this neighborhood? So this
neighborhood is known as Maple Park Historic District and we are in the
central part of the valley. So these homes originally built 1920s and then
what happened? Yeah. So they developed the tract in the 1920s and then
everything came to a halt because of the Great Depression. Um and local
developers stepped in and he made it affordable housing for average
americans and that's how the community was developed. All right, let's take a
look. Okay.
Great little built ins from that phone niche to this right here. Take a look
at this. These built in cabinets for your linens in the hallway. So great.
And it leads us right into the primary bedroom. Yeah, the primary bedroom has
beautiful lighting. That north south exposure for the lot is wonderful.
What's the square footage on this house? Kelly, the square footage of the
main house. It's just over 1000 square feet and the guest house in the back is
just over 700 square feet. I love this kitchen. I gotta say the stove and
especially the refrigerator. It's like a blast of the past. It is and they're
also space saving for the compact kitchen. Amazing. This countertop, it's
beautiful. Yeah, it's got wonderful color and really highlights the
character of the home. Yeah. And oh great fruit. You have some out back,
don't you? We do. Let's take a look.
How about this? You have a washing sink in the backyard. My nana had one of
those in her back patio. So great. Brings back all these great memories.
Yeah, this house holds a lot of memories at almost 90 years old. One
fun thing in this backyard is you'll see the guest house, which is perfect
for multi generational living. You also have a storage shed, lots of storage,
lots of storage and more importantly, a double lot, which is really hard to
find in central phoenix. And part of that double lot is the mini orchard you
get. Oh, what grows back here? We have pomegranates and pecans and many other
fruit options. Wow, I know. I think I saw grapefruit. It's amazing. Kelly,
thank you for the tour today. You're welcome. Thank you for joining me. This
is one cool house. That is a I love the guest house to my goodness. They had
pecan in the backyard. Pomegranate, grapefruit, orange lemon is so great.
