Donnie, what are you doing?
Now Donnie's the type, he don't worry about leaks.
He's just been saying, ah it's not that big of a deal, but it's starting to be a big deal.
It's drying a little bit now, but yeah there's a line.
You know, I mean this is pretty ridiculous.
I've found the source of the problem, Donnie.
No, you're going to stop it down there.
All right, so we're going to try to fix this to save the environment.
You know, everybody's an environmentalist once it starts costing them money.
We don't want to make a mess. When it does it a little bit,
we don't really mind, but this is pretty bad. He's using the official tool for this.
It's going to happen like usual. It's just, you know, it'll be a little work.
He's figured out something that there's a leak somewhere.
That leak is right here, pouring out of this cylinder.
So that cylinder has got to come off, and the easy thing to do would just be to spin this loose
and then take it to the hydraulic guy and have him rebuild that in the cylinder there
and take this one pin out and you're done. Is it that place down by Carowinds?
No, I'm going to take it over to Lancaster. Okay.
So we'd like to get that piston off of there so we can look at it.
If I can get it loose, sir, we can fix it, I believe.
And stop making a big mess. Now, we've got a CNC machine here that we cut a bunch of
what do you call it? Melamine.
Melamine with, and so we've got all kinds of sawdust. So the reason I'm joking around about
the mess is we've got a bunch of sawdust that we clean up stuff like that with,
and it's not that big of a deal, but it's been going on for a while, getting worse,
so we got to fix it. Well, the problem is,
that oil used to be $10 a gallon. Yeah.
Now it's $60 a gallon. Uh-huh.
So it kind of makes sense to fix the stuff instead of just pouring it out on the ground.
Yeah, it's getting worse. It's bad enough now that when you look at it, you go, uh-huh.
Yeah, it's costing me a fortune. We got this used, of course.
And it's been good. I mean, it served its purpose. We didn't think we was going to
need it all that much when we first got it, but then we find out we use it every day. We're like,
look at that. Uh-huh.
Good piece of stuff. Uh-huh.
Now, don't stand in front of me. Not the perfect tool, people, but-
It's a tire iron. It's supposed to do that still.
Whoever has the perfect tool. There's a little lip on the pin there if we can get something
behind it and beat on it. I bet they make a tool that hooks right to it. Goes around the edge.
Oh, look, he's getting smart now. That didn't work.
It's too flat on that side. I got to find something round all the way through.
Some kind of rebar or something.
Let's see. If only we had a building full of stuff laying all over the place.
Claw hammer helps a little bit.
He's looking for some sort of pipe.
A pickle fork would do it. We got one of them?
We probably got one of them laying somewhere.
We have an organizational problem here. We're getting there, though.
So, Ronnie, what I'm going to need you to do is hold the end of this on that shaft,
and I'm going to make these where it'll slip. You're not going to feel the hit.
All right. Okay. All right. I'm going to do it with our wonderful viewers.
Hold that like so. All right. I'm going to go around.
This seems like nothing can possibly go wrong.
We ain't lined up with this pin.
Okay, that might be it. Yep.
I got a strap up there, but I don't know what that strap is for.
Yeah, I think it's stuck. Let me get out of the way. How about that?
And that way, none of us die on film. See, if I die, I won't be able to upload this.
See what I'm saying, Otto? Yeah.
And I've got that other side still on. I think it'll be fine because of the force.
And I'm driving this pin through there. And the other side's still stuck.
Here we go. It won't be long now.
That ain't good.
You didn't see that whole thing sit in?
No, that was good. Hell, I knew it was going to do that.
You going to hide a hair dryer gear back there?
What, the pin? You worry about that later. Hell, that don't matter right now. What are you thinking?
Looks like there's a little hole over here to get to it.
Now there's another pin back here.
What's the odds it's loose?
They're going to be low.
Very low.
That's going to be the hard one.
You can't hit it with nothing.
You want me to hold it up for you while you grab it?
I can't budge it, Donnie. It's a little heavier than I thought.
What's the deal with all of these magnets on the side of it?
Were they on there when you bought it?
Yep.
All right, so I'm going to show them all. Now,
the reason that they put these out was because they wanted to advertise.
So I don't think any of them...
Does that make sense?
So I'm not doxing anybody. I'm just... it's interesting to me.
So this says Petrified Forest National Park.
National Park Service.
Okay, where's the Petrified Forest National Park, Donnie?
Okay, and then McCoy Farms, maxpride.com.
That's a cool place. We stop there all the time.
They're always busy.
Sometimes you stop there, they're so busy you get disgusted and leave.
Now, they do get you out of there pretty quick, but there's just...
there'll be like a hundred people in that place.
If you can't get a good parking spot, Donnie gets very frustrated.
Hmm, look at that.
There's a special little door.
I think I might need to take this off so I can get to the back side of the pen and knock it out.
Okay.
So back to what we were doing here.
You know, we'll let him keep working.
Comfort Keepers.
Your local office.
Affordable non-medical in-home care.
That's pretty cool.
And then finally, the Farm Bureau Insurance.
All your insurance needs under one roof.
Robert Lee.
That's pretty cool.
Robert Lee?
That's what it says.
And who was at Farm Bureau?
Yep.
He's out of Lancaster.
Out of Lancaster.
That's my insurance guy.
He was out of Monroe.
Well, I lied.
He's out of Monroe at 601.
601 and Monroe.
He's actually on 601.
All right.
Well, now you know.
Donnie's not afraid to tear some stuff apart.
You know what?
What?
This thing's done paid for itself.
Uh-huh.
A few different times.
Uh-huh.
If I tear this thing apart and can't get it back together, you know what I'm gonna do?
What?
Send it to the junkyard.
Yep.
Now, don't say that out loud, Donnie.
It's listening.
Yep.
We ain't gonna send you to the junkyard, baby.
We'll fix you.
We can fix you.
It ain't gonna be no big deal.
It's got a weak little leg.
The trick is when you take these bolts out, just set them right there on the machine.
And don't move the machine.
Yep.
Stay tuned for more organizational skills.
For more organizational tips from Ronnie and Donnie.
Where's that pin at?
It went under the lawnmower.
Organized under the lawnmower.
Well, that was easy peasy.
Screwed you up, didn't it?
Oh, there's two pieces.
Remember I told you to put that stuff there?
You had to reorganize.
Then I sprayed my ether everywhere.
Put that with freaking propane.
How's your hand there, Donnie?
Don't like no damn cigarette.
Now, usually I'm the one doing all this stuff.
But, you know, I had to film this video, so.
Come show us the engine, Donnie.
People are probably very interested in that if you got time.
The engine?
Well, there ain't no engine in there.
That's the transmission.
Right there's what we're trying to get to.
There's something that's a little weird.
Hopefully the pin comes out.
But if you look over here, the majority of the liquid is back there.
Hopefully it's running down the front of this.
See it right there?
Yeah.
Hopefully it's running down the front, running down that cylinder back there.
And it ain't got a hose.
And I took all this stuff off for nothing.
But that hose looks pretty dry.
Yeah, it does.
I'm going to go around to the other side.
You can shine a light on it.
Maybe we can see.
We're going to get this pin out right here.
Yeah, it ain't that hose, man.
That's the front side of that cylinder.
Oh, they sheared it?
The pin ain't moving.
Looks like it ain't right.
Maybe it comes this way?
It don't come that way.
It's got to go out that way.
Somebody else has done a bead on it right there with a hammer.
Where's my torch?
I'll cut it out right there.
Nah, I wouldn't do it.
And then we'll re-weld it.
I wouldn't want to do that.
You don't think so?
No, I'd rather cut the pin if I was going to do that.
I don't think cutting that pin is an option, buddy.
The front is stuck.
Yeah.
All right, we're going to have to use Donnie's brain for a little bit.
All right, so we're going to try to fix it on the machine.
And Donnie went to get some kind of tool.
Okay.
I think we can get it with this.
How many people got a 48-inch piper?
There ain't no way you're going to get that in there where it'll go to anything.
Are you going to try to put it on this side?
There ain't no way it's going to get in there.
Donnie, have you been carrying around a 48-inch piper wrench looking for something to use it on?
Yes.
We'll see.
Okay, so he beat on it a little bit and it did drive it through a little bit,
but it's so mushroomed on the edge that it's not going to go all the way through.
But it is moving.
So yeah.
I wonder how they do this at the factory.
How do they do it at the dealer, you think, Donnie?
They got a press of some sort?
Yeah, maybe that's a dealer thing.
We tried grabbing the front ring on the piston.
We couldn't get it.
So he's going to trim it up a little bit and then so we can beat it back out.
You can get another pin if you need to.
I'll tell you what my thinking is.
If I grind a groove in that and then start beating on it,
that'll give that mushroom a place to come back to.
Okay.
So I don't have to grind it all out.
The logic makes sense.
Whether or not that will work, I don't know, but I see what you're saying.
I'm going to need you back over here holding.
Oh Lord, here we go again with the holding.
You get it centered up.
And I'll knock it.
All right.
We're going to use both hands this time, people.
All right.
So we went around to the other side and we beat it back through again.
Look how bad this mushroom.
It's just you can't beat it out without mushrooming it.
This thing is not being cooperative.
We had to drill a hole in this side to get to it.
I had to drill a hole in that side to get to it.
So we can put a pipe in and beat on it.
Donnie's going to fix it.
He's got it all figured out.
Donnie never runs out of ideas.
He'll try anything, including a 48 inch pipe wrench.
Now, if that would have worked, everybody be going, I can't believe he did that.
So it's come back in about, I don't know,
16th of an inch, eighth of an inch, something like that.
We go fix it.
All right.
Diablo.
That's true.
If it's inside the housing, you can't mushroom it.
All right.
We got it, folks.
Donnie figured it out.
Tell them how you did it, Donnie.
I took a grinder and ground the edge of it real good.
Tell them about the grinder.
We were using, you know, this Milwaukee, but it's a cutter.
It ain't really good for this.
So we got out the old DeWalt.
There's a Makita.
Makita grinder.
Actual grinding wheel so we don't get killed.
Ground it down real good on that corner.
Where it was mushroomed.
And then I smacked it real hard with a hammer.
Yeah, he started beating it again with a hammer and it knocked it loose.
Knocked it way back in there.
Then we took a rod.
And beat it out.
And it's still stuck in the cylinder, but it'll come out.
Yeah, it's all loose now.
All right.
So we got it off.
Didn't break the hoses.
And Donnie's pointing out that the seal is trashed on that thing.
And we didn't do that.
We was beating on it up here.
And back there.
We didn't have nothing to do with that.
We'll get it rebuilt next week and be back in action.
Glad to get it off of there.
We couldn't get that other pin all the way out yet.
But it'll...
Yeah, we can do it now easy, but...
I'll put it in the vice tomorrow and knock it out.
But it worked out pretty good.
Okay, y'all.
Got it back.
Thing's heavy.
You can see there they replaced that seal.
It's nice and better now.
Shouldn't leak everywhere.
And we should be good.
So it's down in there where it should be and not sticking out the front.
So we're going to try to get this thing shoved back down in that hole.
There's that hole I had to drill inside of this thing
to get my driver in there to drive the pin back in.
So we're going to try to get it in there.
And hopefully we can do something and we'll let you know.
You guys ain't going to believe this.
That damn thing went back in there easy.
I couldn't believe it.
Now if it worked,
it's going to be the next trick.
Back like that, it started leaking almost immediately.
Now we're running out.
It ain't leaking.
Oh damn, we might have fixed something.
First time for everything.
I'm going to put the floorboard back in it.
But huh, fixed it.
What the hell?
I didn't ever believe that.
And that thing went back in there simple.
I mean, it only took me 15 minutes probably.
If I wouldn't have drilled that hole in the side of that thing the other day,
I'd have been in trouble.
So I drilled that hole so I could get that rod in there.
Drive it pin in and out.
But we got it.
Stopped the leak.
The repair bill on that cylinder cost me $230.
230 bucks.
Stopped the oil leak.
And basically I've probably used $100 in oil.
That'll run out on the ground.
But not on the ground, on the concrete.
I mean, it ain't really been a big deal because we got so much sawdust.
We can just throw on there and drive over and then it's gone, you know.
Then we scoop this up and we can throw it away.
But anyway, if you like what you see, give us a thumbs up,
comment, subscribe to the channel if you hadn't already.
And we'll catch you on the next one.
And hopefully we ain't working on a forklift.
