Yeah, it is going to be a day where we do see it more rain than yesterday. So
just be mindful of that. It's gonna be a hotter. It's already muggier outside.
So john's not gonna be saying how nice it is when you do your little break.
Yesterday was just a little treat. It was a nice little break. It was almost
a tease. But when it comes to this morning, we're actually tracking a
couple of passing showers, mostly along the west coast of florida along the
gulf coast. However, we've got one little downpour that did manage to
sneak into Sumter County this morning. It's now apart to almost right over
Bushnell now just to the east of Bushnell. These are racing in by the
way from the west and you can see a lot of the heavier stuff still exists more
to the west just south there of homosassa Springs. And there's now
some reported lightning strikes with this too. But it looks like it's
continuing to fade as it works its way inland. But we are still going to see
this trend of these westward showers and thunderstorms throughout today. So
we've got a couple of these isolated downpours this morning into Sumter
County. The rest of us should fare pretty well as he's trying to make
their way inland. It's almost gonna be a south easterly flow. These are
trying to move inland, but this will be a trend we're watching closely for
throughout the morning. We're looking pretty dry though as a whole all the
way through say roughly noon with the exception of maybe a stray shower or
downpour to again in Sumter, maybe Lake County and then also parts of Osceola
County could see an isolated downpour to trying to get going. They're gonna
stay pretty isolated in terms of the showers and storms through three and
four o'clock before we start to see more of these clusters forming. And
this is gonna be as a result of the collision with the Atlantic Sea breeze.
The Atlantic Sea breeze. It's been pinned along the coast. It hasn't made
it very far inland the last couple of days, but it is going to collide with
that gulf coast sea breeze moving in from the west and that will help to
spark these showers and storms once again, mainly to the south and east of
I four in eastern Orange Volusia Brevard Osceola counties. Heavy rain is
gonna be likely with these some lightning and thunder, gusty winds as
well. Severe weather not expected, but we could see a nicely strong storm or
two, maybe even a isolated warning as well. But again, not looking at
everyone seeing the rain today. So that's why we're keeping it at 40%
chance. Things tapering off and winding down by, say, 89 o'clock tonight. When
it comes to the forecast as a whole today, we'll make it to 94 40% chance
those afternoon evening showers and storms. It's gonna be a hot, humid day
once again. We made it to 95 yesterday. So over the course of the weekend,
though, this is looking ahead into the weekend. We start to see some changes
unfold. Higher chance of showers and storms. We bump things up to a 60%
chance tomorrow afternoon, 70% chance Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We're
looking at temperatures actually dialing back a little bit as well. And
here's the reason why. Because of the tropics were actually tracking two
separate areas of potential tropical development. Now, the first one being a
wave off the west coast of Africa. Bottom line, it's not gonna turn into
much. It's actually gonna encounter a less favorable environment, meaning
it's gonna encounter ingredients that are gonna kind of tear it apart. So
only a 10% chance of development over the next two days and next seven. Now,
this one over Florida makes more sense that we're likely gonna see some
impacts, but this is still a low chance of development. In honesty, it's a
complicated forecast, but an area of low pressure will likely form as we
head towards this weekend. And what that will do is help to spark some showers
and storms. Rapid tropical moisture. We could see I would think at most a
tropical depression, but we can't completely rule out the very low risk
of a tropical storm. It would be incredibly short lived if it did form
regardless of what we have, whether it be a tropical depression or tropical
storm, very weak one short lived at that. It's gonna be a big rainmaker for
us, which is why we've increased so shower and storm chances for the
weekend up to a 70% chance. We'll see that rain stick with us all the way
through early next week, with around a 60 and 50% chances. Temperatures heat
back up into the mid nineties for Tuesday and Wednesday. Let's get a look
at snap the sun, though, for you this morning. Ah, beautiful view. This is
gonna be from Carly Goodlow, who's always sending us some of the best
photos, by the way. This is from Mary Island. Really gorgeous view there. I'm
telling you, when we have some clouds overhead, it can still make for a
really gorgeous sunrise. You can scan that QR code of the top right hand
