After Work Climbing Sessions In Little Cottonwood Canyon || Cold House Media Vlog 87

Hey, welcome in vlog 87. I was wondering, what's the best start of your day? Here's mine. Oranges, tea, homemade granola, little fruits, milk and just eat. I'm gonna meet up with Josh at the training facility and because we have only one car, I'm gonna take an Uber. Today is the weekend and it's gorgeous out. Finally, there's less snow. Josh has to work at the training camp again but our friend Adam is in town and we're gonna go to the, I think, closest area from Salt Lake City. It is Little Cottonwood Canyon. We can do bowling, chad and sport but we're gonna do some sport. We made it and we are planning to go climb at the Green Adjective Gully which is probably somewhere back here. Unfortunately, we didn't really plan on that much snow so we're gonna get our feet wet. Okay, go for it. There's some boulders here. Oh no, what happened there? Ah, still pretty deep in the snow. Definitely not a game equipped. Seeing it, somewhere up there. We made it. We tried this beauty called Orange Crush and it was a nice route which has a steep start with big moving edges and follow on a cracky area to finish on a nice technical slab. I'll definitely come back for this one when the approach is a little more gentle and the rock is a bit warmer. This is the first time there's crash pads in the super. A few days later, we went back to Little Cottonwood Canyon but this time for bouldering. Our favorite part from LCC is that it's just 20 minutes outside of town so it's super easy to get there after work but at the same time that means there's a lot of people that didn't go there which is not such a bad thing because it's quite a cool community so far out It's a beautiful hour. We decided to climb in Momentum right here for a couple hours and then we're gonna go on a hike up there. Sounds like a good Sunday plan. Look who's at the gym too. Josh is here. Quick lunch. We're starting the hike up to Grandeur Peak. What's our time to come back? We have an hour to get to the top. We're going here. Made it to our turnaround point. Can't go all the way to the top because we don't have time. So this city back here, where our house is, is somewhere here. That's it. First excursion actually very close from where we leave. It was awesome because it was sunny and we didn't have to drive too far. We're definitely very excited for more and also to explore a little bit further especially with the weather being so nice and the day is getting very long.
