I will add too with with him, it's just like just think about just the three
what he hit at the RBC Canadian Open, like it's a clutch moments.
He stood up there and been able to get it done.
But at the the other side of the corner, the guy who played with Sam Burns
is starting to not have the best record
when it comes to trying to close a golf tournament.
You know, that Canadian Open was his had a chance to about a four or five footer
end up having three playoff holes.
This is obviously playing the last year,
but it's he's got some heartache, man.
Sam's played some some really, really high quality golf.
But for any person at his level,
they're going to want to be able to whip that trophy up.
And that's whether it's weighing on him or he feels a little bit differently.
On Sundays, it played hard today, right?
And it's it's going to be a tough pill to swallow because it felt like
today was his day, considering that really nobody went out there
and necessarily took it from him.
Like it was in his hands.
The number was ten under.
So that's going to hurt.
And four, five and six, of course, like that.
That was a run that that, you know, four play tough.
Like I said, five's not like that's when you can't make a bogey on six is a bogey.
But throughout the rest of the day, it's like you
you have to find a way to find some birdies in there
and just wasn't able to get it done.
And I think the conversation around Sam moving forward is like
when he gets in contention somewhere, it's like a loop to go bird.
Like, is he going to be able to get it done?
I know Cam Young and we showed, you know, he's he's done it this year
at the Players Championship.
I feel like the conversation around cam's not quite as strong now
as maybe the conversation will continue on with Sam, who's clearly
like built to win like these these big time tournaments.
And that's like he's a friend of mine, and I think he would. Oh, yeah.
I mean, that's fair.
And I think it's so interesting to find these two players next to each other
as we go down the leaderboard, because so let's start with Cam.
Like it's and first of all, it is kind of amazing.
This entire major hinges on the placement of a pop bunker
on the right side of the 18th fairway.
Right. Like Ryan hitting it in there on Saturday,
playing that unreal hundred ninety two yard shot to reach the green Sunday.
Cam's ball is almost an identical position, can't clear the lip.
And that's how the whole thing hinges.
Did you before we go big picture on cam and narrative this last year?
Did you like that, that risk that he took there?
Like, I mean, I know you're going to win the golf tournament,
but do you like kind of just playing something out short
and trying to get up and down for four?
It's it's I said this on live from it's so easy
to play Monday morning quarterback now and what you should have done.
But I've sat in that bunker.
I kind of know what the shot was.
We tried the same shot.
And that is a high risk shot.
He had a much worse lie than I did.
It was in a groove in the bunker from, excuse me, from a rake job.
That wasn't a bad rake job.
It's just the rakes over at the Open Championship aren't quite the rakes
that we use back in the States or, you know, the two are a little bit longer.
So it tends to make these these grooves and his ball was definitely in it.
Felt like it was going to be tough to get to the bottom of the golf ball.
And you could tell that he was trying to just help it up.
But in that scenario, you would have been better suited
to have tried to either just wedge something out,
give yourself an opportunity, at least have a 10 footer for par, right?
Like that's that's what he you know, it's easy to just say,
like he should have hit pitching wedger nine over the bunker to the left,
give himself an angle, chip up and then try to post 10 under.
But I felt like when I was watching and I was calling the golf,
I felt like 11 under was playoff at worst is what I felt.
And now that could have changed with somebody
that could have gone and just won the golf tournament.
That's how golf goes sometimes.
I felt like 11 was a playoff.
I felt like 10 had a chance.
900 to me felt like you really needed nobody to do anything.
And that's kind of what that's what happened was that scenario.
And you play that tournament tomorrow and have the same scenario
going into the back nine after cameo finishes.
It probably plays differently, right?
Like, yes, maybe some guys make some birdies.
It's just golf.
It's Sundays and major championships.
You always can, especially when you play the golf course
and you know the conditions and how difficult some of those pins are.
In that moment, you could have said, you know what?
16 is not a birdie hole like it's been throughout this
throughout the whole week.
17. Sure, I'll give you that.
14. Sure, it's a par five, but it's like not the easiest birdie
of any par fives that we play.
15. You're closer to making a four than you are making a three.
Although I saw every single person that I watched this week hit this green.
Everybody's complaining about it, but everybody hit the green that I watched.
I watched some incredible shots in the 15.
Actually, I take that back.
John Rahm disagreed through his club.
Yeah. But other than that,
but other than that, man,
