It's actually over...

This is heartbreaking as folks officially over is following
yet another brutal loss.
We have multiple new reports surrounding the future of multiple
Jays, but most notably Kevin Gozman as he is very likely to
be traded at this year's deadline.
We have a report revealing the eight teams that he is going
to not be traded to as he of course has a modified no trade
clause, but not only that we have some comments from Kevin
Gozman himself reflecting on his time in Toronto ahead of
the trade deadline in a couple of weeks.
We're to break all that down and discuss again more reports
revealing that the Jays are moving on Kevin Gozman, but we
also have a ton of other trade updates including some notes
running Dalton Vera show some comments from the players and
what has been nothing short of a disaster season a disaster
series and potentially a disasters next couple of weeks,
depending how the trade deadline continues on before you
get into it.
A very quick reminder to hit the subscribe button folks.
This is pretty heartbreaking stuff in this video.
You're gonna hear some comments with Kevin Gozman that hurt
that hit the feels a little bit, you know a little bit sad
here and this was supposed to be a year after the World
Series with the team bounces back.
We're talking about who the Jays are going to be trading
for who are they going to be able to grab at the trade
deadline. It is not the case at this point and let's dive
right into it.
So an article dropped yesterday and of course there was a
lot of reports about our Kevin Gozman is going to get traded
and all this and I can we know that's most likely to be the
case if the sellers but he said the biggest thing is that
I really hope I'm able to come back here at least next
weekend just one last time and for the first time and it's
very rare this happens by the way, not only did they Kevin
Gozman his wife Taylor kind of reflect on their time in
Toronto before it's over.
I have a feeling they were told that they're going to be
traded at this upcoming.
He's going to be traded rather at this upcoming trade
deadline because you don't usually come out and see articles
like this unless that is the case and that is the unfortunate
reality now, it seems all but certain that the Jays are
going to move on from Kevin Gozman and reports from Jeff
passing came out revealing that shy Davidi Etc.
And it's pretty heartbreaking at this point.
And not only that we even had a report from Ken Rosenthal
revealing the eight teams to which Kevin Gozman can block
a trade Reds Brewers.
Not only that though.
Yeah, the Tigers the Mets the A's the White Sox Pirates
Mariners.
The Brewers are the only interesting one of this the rest
of the teams are are interesting.
But again, this is now a list of teams that he won't be
traded to or at least that he can block which like I keep
saying it's kind of sad that it's at this point now where
this all but confirms that he's going to get trade again.
These reports don't come out.
If the Jays weren't interested in trading Kevin Gozman
Ken Rosenthal wouldn't be tweeting about potential teams
to get blocked to it'd be he'd be tweeting about potential
yet the fact of the potential of them not trading him, right?
So it is pretty sad stuff now regarding what they can get
back in a deal.
The problem is he's had a pretty rough season, right?
We can reflect on his time in Toronto and we'll do that
later on in this video.
But last year is a really solid year.
Like he has been fantastic for the Toronto Blue Jays just
really really good and these stats almost don't do him
justice 4.5 when he arrayed this year.
I always look back to the use a kikuchi trade pretty similar
right?
Like a coochie was it was on an expiring contract.
He was coming off a really bad year or bad first half right
before he got traded the Jays got a ton for him.
I think they can get a ton for Kevin Gozman.
He's experienced.
He played in the World Series last year.
He was really good this year.
Not great again.
It's a culmination of this season being a disaster kind
of in general for this team, whether it be from the top to
the bottom and management at the coaching.
So they are going to get a decent haul for him.
I think when they trade him but boy does it suck to have
somebody who is one of the best Jays pitchers of all time
and up there by far one of the best Jays pitchers of all
time. We'll dive into some stats on that potentially on
his way out and the he goes on to say that and this was
following his start not yesterday, but the game before
of course, I'm not going to think about that too much
talking about the potential as a potential last home start.
I'm a Blue Jay right now and the focus is this team this
room and those guys.
That's where my mind is at right now.
That is kind of crazy to think about and I think and
I covered in the video right after his his last start
people were asking about the fact that this potentially
could be his last start and I'm not entirely sure that
he realized that it could be because the team is spiraled
so far down.
I'm sure obviously he realized it could be but it got
to the point where he actually came out after and feel
free to check out the whole article here from shy Davidi.
I'll go check out the article itself.
I'll summarize it a little bit.
You can see it here.
There was a lot of comments and this is where the you
heartbreaking stuff kind of hits.
I didn't really want to go in the field to be honest
and this is talking about for context.
They went on after the game him and his wife to just
sit in the Roger Center alone after the game and take
it all in.
She kind of told me.
Hey, let's go into the field for a little while.
Not really thinking too much of it.
But now I'm glad we did the biggest thing.
I really hope that I'm able to come back here at least
next weekend.
Just one last time.
They do plan.
He's lined up for a start this Sunday, August 1st.
The trade deadline is August 3rd.
So we'll have to see what happens there.
He also goes on to talk about again, feel free to
go check out the real article, but he said the problem
is the very bottom.
This place is so great.
When you go to other places, you risk it not being like
that. That's where I'm at.
I wouldn't want to go anywhere.
If I'm completely honest, I would love for us to turn
this around whether that's the postseason or whatever.
I would like to finish my tenure here.
Like I said it to do when I signed here, but I also
realized that it's a business.
There's only so much you can control.
So it is interesting.
He really wants to remain and there is a chance.
I think that they keep him and they extend him but
I think it's very far off at this point.
Now, this was from a few days ago before they're about
to get swept by the, you know, raised.
They're not going to make a trade for the sake of making
a trade.
They're not going to move guys to save money unless
they really like the return deals aren't happening.
So they're going to need a very good return for Kevin
Gossman in order for them to actually move off of
Mr.
Gossman, but he wants to stay here.
I would love to finish here.
But at the same time, I'd love to have another opportunity
at the same time.
It wouldn't mean as much as it meant last year.
You know more.
I think about it.
I'm just really lucky that the fan base embrace me and
my family and we've had great moments here, but it
does kind of leave a sour taste in your mouth that
after all the great times now, we're at this spot.
So it kind of sucks.
It comes down to that pretty heart-wrenching stuff
truthfully and just very unfortunate, right?
It's hard to get more gut punchy than that, right?
Because this team has been bad.
They made some roster moves without into but it's
not just Kevin Gossman.
It's Dalton Burr show as well.
He said he doesn't want to be traded.
I can't really think about those thoughts.
And honestly, I don't really want to think about
those because I want to be a blue jay and I enjoy
being here.
Everyone wants to remain a blue jay.
The problem is they're not performing now.
Well, no matter what happens this season, this offseason
is going to be absurd.
There's the potential and most likely the chance of
a lockout.
You have brochure free agent Gossman free agent Bieber
free agent.
Obviously, they could trade Bieber.
There's a lot of opportunities here for the Jays to
get some assets for cousin Kevin Gossman.
This could be the end of a storybook blue jays
tenure minus the World Series loss of the team.
He finished as the most impactful free agent signing
in franchise history, the best free agent signing
pitcher in franchise history.
One of the best Jays pitchers of all time, not the
best, but 20 wins above replacements of fives in replacements
of five seasons.
George Springer is right up there as well.
Who?
Hey is a pending free agent, but I don't think they're
going to trade him.
It doesn't make a ton of sense.
And man, very, very sad comment down below what your
thoughts are on all this.
It just keeps getting crazier and crazier and Ben Nicholson
Smith confirming the approach from the Jays front
office this month has been to operate in two fronts
ideally by if necessary pivot.
They've told teams they should have more clarity closer
to the deadline as of today.
Playoff odds are just nine percent.
No need to decide just yet, but selling becoming more
and more likely and one of the reasons they're in
this position is Vladimir Guerrero jr.
And I want to rewind to June 8th a month and a
half ago his quote.
He doesn't just think a breakup is coming and
certainly coming.
He's certain of it.
Don't worry about me.
I'm going to be good since that comment one of the
worst hitters in baseball.
So again, they didn't lose a wildcard spot.
I guess a you know, a game in the standings yesterday
because of the fact that the Red Sox lost and got
their win streak snapped at 15 games, but we got
to take it all in now.
Very unfortunate.
The offense is clearly pressing at this point.
John Schneider is talking about it talking about how
we talk about it every day.
We talk about it a lot.
The team needs to figure their blank out.
They need to figure it out.
It just has to happen.
If they don't figure it out today, if they don't
win this game today, the season's meant baby.
I mean, it's probably over anyway.
Right?
Let's not be delusional.
But if they want to win and actually remain have
Kevin Gosselin remaining on the team, they got to
start winning right now.
Thank you guys for watching.
