And a lot of people get in this seat and get trained to be liars.
And here's what I mean by that.
Man, we feel a certain way.
There's every coach.
Coaching is an egotistical business, right?
You try to lower your ego in coaching because it's not about you as the head coach.
It's about the football program and the football players, right?
But I've made a decision that I'm going to tell people exactly what it is.
If I'm not going to tell you exactly what it is, I'm not going to talk to you.
Because I know me.
If you ask me a question, I'm going to tell you what it is.
And so if I tell you I'm not sure where we are with it right now,
that's really where I am with it.
I don't have time.
It's kind of like when people lie, you got to remember the lie.
Then remember how you told a lie.
Yeah.
You always got to remember the lie.
Yeah.
I don't have that capacity to deal with that, right?
So I'm not going to tell you one thing as a media person telling another media person.
I lose credibility.
And then when I need the media to feature a player or something like that, I burned you.
I made you look crazy.
So my policy has always been I'm going to tell people the truth.
Whether you're a fan, alumni, media person, administrator, I'm going to tell you the truth.
You might not like what I say, but I'm going to tell you the truth.
