I've Been Waiting 27 Years for This!! D23 2026 Reactions!

Hi, this is Josh with resort TV 1 and I'm coming to you very late or should I say very early? It's 1 a.m But Disney just got done with their parks and experiences panel horizons as they call it What a great name and they announced some amazing stuff I hadn't decided if I was gonna make a reaction video But there were just too many announcements for me to not make a video and just let those slide So I'm not gonna let those slide And as you can see by the title of the video on the thumbnail The very biggest announcement. Oh my goodness. I can't wait to get into it, but I've been waiting Literally 27 years. I think it is for this. Is that right? Cuz that the other one came out in 1999 and so now it's 2026 either way We've been waiting about 27 28 years for Dream Finder to come back. That's right. Dream Finder is coming back They're finally a redoing journey into imagination at Epcot. It is needed it so badly for so long I'm so excited. They did that as their kind of one more thing announcement Apple style Wow, so so incredible We'll just jump right into it I'll kind of pull up some web pages here so I can keep my thoughts kind of you know Organize here a little bit. So we're gonna pull up first our sponsor Mickey blog Mickey travels calm here And this is their article about it Dream Finder returns to reunite with figment at Epcot And there you can see the picture of Dream Finder with figment who was moving which was really cool thing it was kind of moving around if you watch the Parks panel presentation you can watch it on Disney Plus and there's some there's some videos of it on YouTube as well But wow, how cool so again big shout out Mickey blog calm our sponsor. They have great news coverage Of course, Mickey travels is also our sponsor as well But here they are and so just you know, nothing really was, you know shared about it Just that Dream Finder will be returning to Epcot Once more to reunite with his pal figment and there you go You can kind of see some photos of him in the rainbow rainbow corridor now, of course They didn't say that the rainbow corridor was returning again. That would be amazing Maybe but who knows either way one little spark. Yeah, that's just it's so true. So amazing I'm just so thrilled that a Dream Finder is coming back. I think to me that's the biggest news I know there's a lot of other stuff that we're gonna go into here in just a minute, but I'm so thrilled Disney listened, you know their parks and experiences chairperson and did the announcement there and you know just was talking about we listened we heard you and you know, we are bringing Dream Finder back and honestly, I Really feel like a lot of tonight's presentation was Disney hearing us They even made fun of themselves a little bit with like Disco Yeti and all that stuff And by the way, that's another one. The Yeti is gonna be fixed. Oh my gosh So well, I'm getting ahead of myself, but wow, and they just kind of laughed at themselves. Oh Disco Yeti Ha ha ha, you know just those types of things They really show that they are listening and they are paying attention to what the fans say. So that's really good People have been asking for Dream Finder to come back for years and years and years and I just I'm so so thrilled That he's coming back. So that's gonna be awesome. Awesome And now let's go through a couple more of the announcements here, of course Monstropolis is gonna be coming soon to Hollywood Studios and there have a new song welcome Monstropolis and some of those types of things going along. So that's gonna be pretty fun And so we've got monstropolis. We got the concept art there Of course, it's gonna be you know Muppets Courtyard was there now, but it was there but now It's gonna be monstropolis. It's opening in 2027. They actually just announced that opening in 2027 Welcome monstropolis is a song by Randy Newman, which is cool. He composed all you know, the original Monsters Inc music there, especially the theme song and so definitely really just Incredible that Randy Newman is going to be back doing the music to that So the new show at the glob theater not the globe, but the glob which was where Muppet vision used to be welcome monstropolis So a lot of cool stuff there We also found out the name of the new restaurant Archie's scare pig pizza and monstropolis is top-rated pizza So it's like that'll be in the place of pizza Rizzo. So that'll be super fun I'm assuming and then we've got the Monsters University Alumni Club, so I'm not sure about that too much But I don't know where that's gonna be. But like the elite scares Club the Alumni Club Honoring the school's legendary scares. So that's gonna be cool and then scare Poria. I'm like the scare Emporium It's gonna be the shop there in Monstropolis that's gonna be super super cool I guess that'll probably be where the old Muppet shop was and then of course the biggest news is Harry Housen's Harry Housen's restaurant is going to come to Hollywood Studios. That is amazing. I am so excited to see Harry Housen's It's gonna be incredible, so What a what a cool thing like, you know We've been waiting since the movie came out to see what Harry Housen's looked like and I guess there's gonna be an animatronic Of Harry himself, so that's gonna be pretty cool. I think let's see WDW news today a shout-out to them They do an amazing job. I believe they have Harry Housen here, too. Let me just see if I can Pull this up here. They've got a lot coming up here. I thought they had Harry Housen Article, here we go. Alright, so this is the Harry Housen. I guess there'll be this incredible looking animatronic I'm just kind of oh, let's see. The character's name plate pays tribute to legendary stop-motion animator Ray Harry Housen. Okay, cool Anyway, so there there is kind of a little more of the concept art I didn't I guess I don't see any I thought maybe they had a better picture of it But either way that is just super super cool. He's gonna be a sushi sushi slinging Animatronic so monstropolis is coming. It's gonna be absolutely amazing. Another big announcement that was made was the reimagination of Disneyland's Tomorrowland, they they didn't announce anything really other than it's just gonna be reimagined I'm sitting there going people mover win people mover win No, they didn't announce anything about people mover, but we're hoping that eventually they will Definitely announce that people mover is coming back to Disneyland So we will see they haven't yet, but I really feel like it's going to I just I feel like they said They never fixed the Yeti. They're saying they're fixing the Yeti I feel like they're going to do it. Leave me in the comment. Leave me a comment. Let me know what you think And so, you know, there's not really any yeah, I mean, obviously they were they wrote an article about it here But there's nothing really there's no information about it. It's just they said it's gonna happen. Great. All right, cool And then of course Lion King new vessels Those are pretty cool. I guess there's gonna be like a new class of ships. It's a little smaller. So that'll be cool Of course, they talked about the believe all kinds of cool stuff. So let's go over here and talk a little bit about Some of the villains land stuff. So first of all the villains land rides This is gonna be so cool and I actually had a little bit of a hunch on this one The big two attractions for villains land. The first one is gonna be a Maleficent themed roller coaster Well, they also announced that villains land will be called villains land. So that's that's cool I mean everything else in Magic Kingdom is called, you know land something So I think that would be or something land. So I think villains land works. So the Maleficent coaster is gonna be super cool Can you imagine? Riding through kind of the briars the thorns and everything like the concept art is absolutely insane. That is super cool Let me see if I can zoom in on it just a little bit and make it a little bigger so we can see it Better. There we go. Yeah, so that is really really cool Wow again, shout out to WG WNT. I'm using their coverage here, but go check out their website It's it's really really great source of information news and they've got all this all this concept art here and it looks just incredible here You can see the coaster Going through the land there. So or going through the ride there So that will be amazing. And then the other one is a boat ride and it's gonna be Basically through the catacombs, here's the here's the concept art for it And I guess the magic mirror is gonna be taking you through this experience So I feel like that's gonna be super super cool. I don't think they gave a name for it Of course the host magic mirror That's a great way kind of the narration for the ride will be the magic mirror talking about Taking you into the mirror realm and visions of his favorite villains will be conjured. So that'll be really really neat So anyway, there's villains land a little more concept art there and so they confirmed the name is villains land But anyway, they didn't really talk about what the name of any of these either Rides would be but super super cool that they're gonna be the villains land Attractions there and and the coaster and then the boat ride through the catacombs like I think those are gonna be amazing rides I was asking for a dark ride. I think the boat ride will be that type of dark ride They talked about some groundbreaking effects and things like that. They also talked about the cursed wishing well And so it'll be like a way here's a little concept art from that It'll be a way for guests to go in and like somebody makes an evil wish, you know You always think of wishes as being good, but an evil wish might start this whole story. So and there's there's villains land So that's pretty awesome. I can't wait to see more about that. So Let's see. What else we will kind of look through here. Let's go back and just make sure we're not missing anything Piston Peak attractions there. This was revealed as well They talked a lot about this and they said that it was gonna be really really cool So I'm excited to see you know, what type of attractions will be at Piston Peak? Well, I guess we already know what they're gonna be But I'm excited to see more about them and they talked about it at the you know on the presentation a little bit. So first of all They by the way, they do the hue. They did the whole panel as a carousel of progress type thing So a carousel of the future type thing. That was really neat So Piston Peak National National Park, of course, there's a model of it at d23. So that's pretty neat It's gonna be inspired by the American West it fits in with Frontierland. I think it's gonna be really really neat And you can see, you know some of the construction photos and things But anyway, the biggest details first of all One of the main attractions is gonna be miss Fritters daredevil spin-along And so that'll be a giant animatronic bus of miss Fritter who is like the school bus at the demolition derby So there you go. There's the concept art for that and let me just see if I can make these a little bigger There we go. Makes it a little easier to see. Yeah, so that is gonna be cool You can see the fire coming out like I really hope there's actual fire coming out of there But I can't tell what kind of ride this is gonna be. It's like a bumper cars a demolition Oh a demolition derby, maybe it'll be bumper cars. I Disney doesn't generally do that that's more of a carnival thing, but we will see and then Cars Ridge Run Rally is the name of the Attraction we've known about it It's gonna be this type of a car ride kind of an off-road ride Through Piston Peak through that area and it's actually gonna start out like going up the mountain and you know Going through these geysers and all kinds of stuff find the wildest racer in the wilderness or the wield earnest So that's gonna be kind of a play on Thunder Mountain It looks really cool snow-covered peaks and valleys and geysers and just I think it's gonna be really neat I'm excited for this. I feel like it's gonna fit. I'm still oh, yeah I still a little bit sad about obviously what we are missing from that area with you know Liberty Square not Liberty Square, but with the Liberty Bell and Rivers of America being gone I'm sad about that, but you can see here the model for the area and I do think it's gonna look really really nice It's gonna be different. We'll have to get used to the sight lines, but I think it's gonna look nice I the model really does I think Bring home exactly, you know, just how lush it's gonna be. It's not just gonna be a bunch of pavement and things So I think that's a that's a good thing and then we've got Avengers campus attractions coming all kinds of stuff and then at Animal Kingdom the new Indiana Jones ride and the myth of the Jade Serpent It's what that's called. So that's gonna be pretty cool. They showed this giant snake that's gonna be part of that So that'll be pretty neat Let's see here. Yeah, there's Indiana Jones Harrison Ford, I guess he did a recorded video there Kind of announcing some of these things, but you can see this Mythical creature the Sukon so that's gonna be neat Giant snake. Why did it have to be a snake and they can they showed some behind-the-scenes? Pictures of what it looked like as they were kind of getting it ready and constructing it in the workshop. So that's pretty cool And it's gonna be of course in that whole tropical tropical America's area right where dinosaur was of course and there's the facade going on here So again, shout out to Mickey travels. This is their amazing article Mickey blog.com. So they are our awesome sponsor So what else do we have the Cocoa ride? Yep, the Cocoa ride at Disneyland looks really cool Let's see. What else are we missing? So really just a lot of neat stuff, of course, and there's some shows returning at Disneyland I think you know, that's gonna be pretty awesome. Let's look through Www news today here Frozen 3 is it was announced some of the movie Kind of details for that so that's gonna be pretty cool No haunted mansion bar. Yeah, that would be that would have been really good. Let's see. What else are you missing here? so Monstropolis new Disney Cruise Line They talked about the characters on the believe which is Moana is gonna be kind of one of the featured characters Wreck-it Ralph animatronic for the sugar rush at Tokyo Disney Cars Ridge Run Rally, that's gonna be hard to say Ridge Run Rally. Okay, I'll figure it out And then Disneyland Paris the Lion King concepts are concept art. I'm more focused on Disney World so I'm not gonna go over that too much but Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto ride that is gonna be in tropical Americas It's gonna I guess go upstairs kind of into Antonio's room something about the rainforest each vehicle is gonna be a little different So that's gonna be pretty cool. So yeah, and no height requirements. So that'll be nice So there'll be 50 animals represented inside the carousel is gonna be cool animal carousel all Disney characters reveals That'll be fun. There's some Ford. Let's see. Yeah so There's a lot of things to to. Oh, here's another one. I didn't didn't get to talk about this yet spaceship earth Reimagining so the next chapter begins and it's going to basically be Talking about human connection as part of the story. So really nothing about What's gonna happen or anything like that? It's just basically that it's gonna be based on Communication. So that's all I know They were supposed to redo it, of course, and then there was kovat let's see if there's anything on the Disney Parks blog that we want to talk about and We'll just go from there. Let's see villains land dream plan being finer figment Exploration awaits. There's more there. Yeah, I think we got oh, here we go. The oh, this is the big one The Yeti is coming back to life. We talked about this already a little bit But I am so excited. He is going to move again Disco Yeti is going away and then they even brought out Gloria Gaynor to sing a little disco, which was pretty neat That was at the the d23 parks panel. I love how they did it based on carousel of progress I thought that was really cool. But either way the Yeti is going to be fixed and Yeah, I I can't wait for that. I'm so excited You know Joe Rhodey was there and I think I'm sure he'll be excited for that because that's something he's talked about quite a bit About how much they wanted to fix it So what I am curious to hear is how they figured this out because I know they talked about the structure of the building not being really Designed to handle it and they couldn't figure out how to fix it without basically just like Tearing down most of the structure of the ride and they were basically like it would take forever to do it would be way too Expensive. Yeah, we just can't do it because it would require taking down most of the structure So I wonder if they just figured out a way to reinforce it without Actually tearing down everything. So anyway, that's gonna be super cool Can't wait to see them fix the Yeti. There was a lot announced actually I'm really just thrilled with everything. And then of course, we've got carousel of progress. We've seen this kind of ending scene here That's pretty neat. I like that And then we've got let's see Edison Square and now it's new mom and dad So yes, they announced who the host would be Disney legend Jamie Lee Curtis and Emmy-winning actor Brian Cranston pick up the mantel as the attractions kind of the mom and dad and then Here you can see if I can zoom in on this a little bit. There we go Here you can see the 80s scene act two So it's gonna start out in 1969 with the moon launch and then you're gonna see the 80s scene here with carousel of progress In Halloween time and you can kind of see the 80s styling here. I like it. Is that a yellow refrigerator? I love that so much. Oh my goodness, and it looks like somebody's in the bath over here. So that's gonna be kind of cool so either way that is gonna be super fun and I can't wait to see what they do with all this stuff. So and then of course the Walt animatronic is gonna be in there somewhere and Welcoming guests as they go. So anyway, I think I've got it all. Sorry. I'm not trying to scroll too fast here But yeah, I think I've got everything I'm just looking on all the new sites to make sure that I didn't miss anything again. Shout out to Mickey blog and to WWNT All of them. Everybody does a great job. And I think yeah, I think I think I got it off I miss something leave me a comment. Let me know. But otherwise, I am just super super excited for all these changes I can't believe they're bringing Dream Finder back. I can't believe they're bringing or fixing the Yeti They're doing something with Tomorrowland at Disneyland. I'd love to see the people mover again I mean, I've got the poster right behind me. It would just be super cool to see all that. So either way It's just gonna be a really exciting time at Disney Disney World and all the different Disney parks I do wish they would have had some kind of a show announcement for Disney World because obviously they announced a bunch of like remember dreams come true and magic happens and world of color for Disneyland So, you know, it'd be cool if they just had I know we have, you know newer shows at Disney World But it would be cool just if they had some announcement like oh we're bringing back this for a limited time and we're gonna do like a I've always said like a party with With illuminations or with wishes would sell really well and they've proven that they can do wishes with not too much modification So I wonder if they could just like, you know, cuz they can do enchantment So I'm just wondering if they could do like a wishes kind of throwback night or something at Magic Kingdom either way I don't know, but I think these announcements are really really great. It shows Disney's really listening Obviously, you know, we still want to see how things turn out Spaceship Earth, obviously, I'm kind of withholding judgment on that one until I see what they're gonna do with it I do think they'll be careful with that I think they know how important it is and what an icon of the park it is So yeah, I I'm just thrilled for all these changes. I'm glad Disney's listening I can't wait to see Dream Finder come back the Yeti fix all the things leave me a comment what are you most excited about from d23 and You know, what is it that you just can't wait to see at your favorite Disney Park?
