AI GeneratedCorey McCloskey provides a weather update for Arizona, highlighting a pleasant end to the work week and a favorable forecast for the upcoming holiday weekend. While the Valley and mountain regions expect fair skies and steady temperatures, tropical moisture from storms in the Pacific may bring showers to western Arizona.
You're watching the Fox 10 weather experts with Corey McCloskey on Fox 10
news and good evening everybody. And wow, what a gorgeous afternoon we're
seeing out there temperatures a little bit below the average again, cloud
cover suitable for painting. It's really been a delightful way to wrap up this
work week. We're at 101 degrees at Sky Harbor and today I think that's about
the best we can do for you this hour of the night. We did make it to the
average. So at least we're on the way down and by this evening we ought to
find ourselves in a pretty pleasant state when we get together at nine
o'clock. But 97 in Apache Junction 99 for Deer Valley Airport, 100 up at Cade
Creek and 103 in Maricopa this evening. Now it is a big holiday weekend.
You've got a plan. If you're going to be here in the valley, everything
should go off without a hitch. Your saturday and your sunday looking
terrific at about 101 and 103. And then monday the actual holiday at 104
degrees and a fair skies for monday for sure. Clouds will start to sneak in
though as we move into tomorrow and your sunday too. But here's the way
things look up north Flagstaff with the gorgeous way to wrap up this work week
73 degrees there and no matter where you are in the mountains, you're going
to be in for a very nice weekend. It's 104 in Yuma now 81 in Prescott 79 in
Show Low Springerville at 73 Payson at a very nice 81 degrees. And again the
next couple of days in the mountains are looking terrific with again mostly
fair skies, kind of a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout that stretch, but no
serious weather expected for our mountain towns. However, if you're out
along the Colorado River, that's what we're talking about as far as actual
weather goes. And again, if you missed it at the top of the show, Marie is the
cause of it, winds there gusting to about 1 20 at times. However, this storm
is taking a bit of a northwesterly track. That's fine with us. We've got
Marie, her cousin Karina now down to a category one, but old Lowell is still
churning up the pacific at a category four with gusts to about 185 miles an
hour. It's about to take a hard turn to the north, kind of grazing the western
end of that hawaiian chain. And here though, closer to home, Marie is going
to still kind of hug the not hug, but at least parallel the west coast rather
than taking that sharp turn out to sea. And that means we'll at least stand a
chance to scoop up some of that tropical moisture. Here's the way things
look for tomorrow again. As we move through the day, that dry weather moves
out and we're going to start to lift some of those showers on into Arizona.
And here's a bit of a more precise look at what we expect out of that
future cast. Here's a look at it. Say oh 10 o'clock tonight or so, a few
scattered clouds across the state. But then as we roll through the daylight
hours tomorrow, we'll see that early push of cloud cover, probably not a lot
of sunshine for southern Arizona or the valley tomorrow. But as we make our way
through the day again, most of the action is going to be here across the
western part of the state. I think we'll avoid the weather here in the
valley. However, even your sunday out west could be a busy one, especially
here in Mojave County in northern parts of Coconino. But as far as the
temperatures go, they are all looking pretty good again tomorrow at 101. Our
warmest day in this stretch would be Tuesday at about 105. Then as we see
some more weather move in next week, we'll call it one of three down to
about 100 or so, but a better chance for showers as we start to move our
way well into september.
I think the 1 15 are over.
Why does he do it? I'm not too sure. Look, you're not too sure. He is your
partner. I don't get to believe me. No, I think it's over. It's over. I'm
calling it. It's over. No more. No more. 1 15. Okay, we're done. We're
finished. I'd like to get on board. Okay, good. Get on board the train. The
more confident he is, the harder the fall. But he's out of here. And what
is it? What is it? I won't be here for the ramifications. The recriminations.
I won't be here. Yes, true.
