The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated with immense religious fervor
and grand enthusiasm across India today. In the city of Mumbai, thousands of devotees thronged
the iconic Lal Bagcha Raja Pandal. The iconic Pandal has been decorated with flowers as devotees
queued up for hours to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesh. Citizens could be seen taking pictures of
the idol which has been decorated with jewelry and flowers. Devotees shared their experience
of coming to the Lal Bagcha Raja Pandal.
We've been coming since last 10 years. We come from Mulund and every year we make a point that
we wait in the line for like 4-5 hours and the excitement is always great.
Though we have certain contacts but that is probably from the second third day but
the thrill of standing in the line for 5 hours and witnessing this is beautiful and divine.
It also marks the 93rd year of the celebrations at the Lal Bagcha Raja Pandal. At least 1.5
million devotees visit the Pandal for darshan during the 10-day extravaganza.
