#ramanamaharshi#advaita#stillness In this video she tells us to forget any idea of becoming, improving, or convincing ourselves that we are making progress. Becoming more free, becoming more empty, becoming a better meditator, becoming more enlightened - none of this has to do with awakening. Drop all of your life in stillness. Rest and stay in the core of your being that is still, that is peace itself.

The speaker challenges the concept of \"becoming\"—the idea that one must improve or evolve to reach enlightenment. He argues that seeking progress, better habits, or spiritual feelings is a mental trap that distracts from the truth. True awakening is not a goal to be achieved over time, but the immediate realization of one's inherent, timeless essence and the \"wisdom heart.\"
See if the following is true for you.
Like many people live in a state of becoming.
Becoming more free.
Becoming more empty.
Becoming a better meditator.
Becoming more enlightened.
Becoming less angry.
Becoming less jealous.
Becoming more compassionate.
Becoming more lovable.
Does it ring a bell?
Nobody does that, I do it.
Yeah, of course.
So, how about we skip the whole thing?
We skip the whole becoming thing.
At least in our togetherness, you know.
Because it has really nothing to do with awakening.
Absolutely zero.
So you can become, for the next hundred lifetimes,
you're still becoming more empty, more free,
a better meditator, more kind, more lovable,
a better person, a better husband.
There's no end to it.
And it has nothing to do with what I'm addressing
in your being.
So I'm always talking to your heart.
That has nothing to do with that.
And you always take it on a level of,
oh yes, yes, yes, I should and I should not.
And I have to and I can't.
And if you would know who I really am,
you wouldn't even like me.
And what about all my traumas?
And all of that has nothing to do with our togetherness.
Absolutely zero.
So how can you stop this?
Because you know that.
And all this becoming has to do with,
I want and I don't want.
And I long for and I don't like that.
It is such a persistent habit,
you know, to take everything on this level.
So it seems so hard not to crack.
That you can really receive our togetherness
in your very heart that is free and has always been free,
is complete, is love itself,
is luminosity itself, is peace itself.
All that you want, you find in your heart.
And you've heard that a million times.
And then you say, okay, okay, okay, how do I get there?
Or what should I do?
And what should I not do?
Just tell me and I do it.
Zero, zero, zero, zero.
So I wonder, you know,
what it really takes for you to really receive.
And I'm only speaking your heart.
You don't need to receive me.
You need to receive yourself.
I'm speaking your heart so that you can see it for yourself.
You're longing for your very self.
You're longing for the essence of all of life.
And then you identify with what we call I
and you want to solve a problem.
It would be so wonderful if you can really see this.
You know, and you find some satisfaction in,
oh, I have such a wonderful feeling of fill-in, you know,
of peace or calmness or stillness.
Well, that's nice.
Enjoy the feeling.
It has nothing to do with awakening.
All that you can experience is eye-based and it's fleeting.
It has no inherent reality.
It has no... It's fleeting.
So I'm addressing you guys that you are more vigilant
and that you're aware of what you're doing
when you step into the experiences
and pacify yourself with nice feelings and nice experiences.
Oh, I'm well on my way.
Who? Who?
Oh, I'm so peaceful now.
Who?
Are you really ready for this?
Or do you satisfy...
Do you find satisfaction in improvements
and the nice experiences?
So the years are passing, you know,
and the world is increasingly in a turbulent state.
What are you waiting for?
To really come to the essence of what you say you want.
To really come to the very essence.
Now realize what you truly are
and what you have always been.
Body or no body.
Birth, life and death cannot even touch this.
So my suggestion is that you insist on dwelling
in the essence of all that you experience.
Not in I experience, but the very essence.
And that you do no longer project a horizon and a goal.
That is time.
It is profound misunderstanding.
You stay right here.
And when the mind wants to seduce you
in an analytical way
or in a remembering or pondering
or dwelling on thoughts and memories and all of that,
are you going in this again and again and again and again?
Or do you rest and stay in the core of your being
that is still,
that is peace itself,
that is changeless,
timeless,
causeless?
So be so aware
that you are aware when you fall in the trap of the mental seduction.
I really wish that you can receive this,
that you can receive your heart,
your wisdom heart
and not pacify and soothe yourself with nice experiences.
Well, enjoy them, there is nothing wrong with it.
But we tend to identify,
we tend to even find an identity in it.
Oh, I am such a spiritual being and nonsense.
Nonsense.
There has never been such a thing as a spiritual being.
There has never been anything like I am well on my way.
I has never been.
And this seems to be so difficult for you to receive.
I with all its ups and its downs
and all that it is experiencing in a lifetime,
it has never been.
I itself is mind made.
So you need to be so vigilant.
And again and again I hear your stories of what you experience
and nice and not nice and all of that.
Go deeper, go deep
and drop all of your life in stillness.
Forget this whole thing of becoming,
improving, solving,
convincing yourself that you are making progress.
There is no such thing of progress.
Either you realize yourself or not.
Either you realize your wisdom heart made of love or not.
And somehow there is not even a difference between awakening and not awakening.
But first awaken and then you will see that there is no difference.
Not the other way around.
