Well, the Lions were dealt some devastating news on the injury
front, which could have major implications heading into the
game tomorrow night Thursday against the Buffalo Bills. We're
going to dive into what all of that could mean for the Lions
and a whole lot more on this edition of Lions Digest. Hey
everybody, yours truly Captain Lou. I want to take a moment to
welcome those of you checking us out for the first time here to
Lions Digest and invite those of you that haven't done it yet.

Thursday. Another live preview show, a Bills Lions pregame show
if you will. We'll go through all the matchups between the two
teams, give our predictions and of course all of your live
reactions. And then afterwards, a live postgame show, instant
reaction from yours truly. And of course you as well on the
game on the outcome. It all starts tomorrow night live
seven o'clock Eastern Time right here on Lions Digest. Well, as
we reported some injury news for the Lions devastating as they
head into game two against the Buffalo Bills tomorrow night
Thursday. Blake Miller and Christian Mahogany have been
ruled out by the Lions heading into that contest. Not so
surprised with Christian Mahogany, but with Blake Miller,
a little bit surprised, especially after how well he
played, and how much he played on Sunday against the Saints.
Now, it was reported by Justin Rogers from the Detroit football
network. He played all 77 snaps for the Lions in that game. But
afterwards, he reported discomfort in his knee didn't go
through the walkthrough on Monday, nor did he yesterday and
obviously today. So he's ruled out for the contest Thursday
against Buffalo. And the other crazy stat, of course, which
with Blake Miller, is that he never missed a game at Clemson
and all his four years there. And ironically enough, only
missed two practices. So wow, yeah, that's a, he plays all
four years at Clemson. Of course, he plays all the
preseason plays one game with the Lions, and he's going to
miss game two. But as reported, and I kind of agree with Mike
Payton from A to Z sports, this might be more precautionary than
anything else was such a quick turnaround time for the Lions
with this game Thursday night, and it being week two, and also
coming off win in week one against the Saints. I don't
necessarily disagree if he is banged up a little bit. It is
such a quick turnaround time. And I also think if the Lions
were playing Sunday, not tomorrow night, Thursday, I
think there would be a better chance that he would play. So
what do you think going into game two tomorrow night against
the Buffalo Bills? Are you worried about Blake Miller and
Mahogany being out of the game? Which one worries you more
long term? Is it Mahogany? Is it Blake Miller? Neither. It's
early or you're both they're both equally troubling. Would
love to see what your reaction is in the comments right here on
Lions Digest. Now, either way, I think tomorrow night's game
against Buffalo is going to be an absolute shootout. And that
is why I am going to trade yes, with over 57 and a half in this
matchup between the Lions and Bills with our brand new partner
here on Lions Digest. And that of course is Kelshi. With Kelshi
you're trading directly against other users, not the traditional
sportsbook. You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcomes of
sporting events, politics, even the weather. Now taking a look
at that matchup tomorrow night, like I said, 57 and a half is
what I'm going to trade yes on in this outcome. That way, if I
can get a little better return on my trade, it's trading on 42%
or 42 cents on the dollar. So if you trade $25 on the Lions and
Bills to get over 57 and a half, you're going to get $57.20 back
on that trade. Why $25? Well, if you're interested in trying out
Kelshi, use the link in the description and trade $25 with
the promo code DigestNFL and you'll get $25 back into your
account instantly. The games are underway in the NFL and they all
trade on Kelshi. Now again, we also wanted to bring up the
injury to Christian Mahogany. He only played I think 11 snaps for
the Lions against the Saints last Sunday. Again, we go back to
Justin Rodgers and his point is well taken. He left early with
what was originally diagnosed as maybe a knee injury. But as it
turns out, it's a hip injury, kind of an unusual muscle injury
if you will. It doesn't sound like it's going to be long term,
but he's going to be out. But I also want to go back to what the
Lions did in the offseason. They kind of knew things like this
could happen. And I love what they did in the offseason with
the free agency signings. Now, let's take a look at this list
of who they've signed. Drew Scruggs, he's made 21 career
starts. He's in for Kate Mays until after probably the bye
week. He made 21 career starts. Ben Bartsch, who's going to take
over for Christian Mahogany. He's made 24 career starts,
started six games last year towards the end of the year with
the San Francisco 49ers. I think he's a good replacement for
Mahogany. I think this one could be permanent. And Larry
Borum, he's made 38 career starts. He's going to step in at
right tackle for the Lions in place of Blake Miller. So very
competent, very capable replacement short term for the
Lions. That's why I'm not real concerned about that for short
term. I know Blake Miller's a stud. I know he's a dude. I
thought he played really well for the Lions in that game
against the Saints. But for short term replacements, I think
they'll be pretty well off against the Buffalo Bills,
especially against that Buffalo Bills run defense, which is not
very good. Now other news on the injury front. This one could be
a little bit troubling as well. DJ Reed has been ruled
questionable. A foot injury popped up on the injury report
yesterday. And it looks like he could be a game time decision
for the Lions against the Bills tomorrow night. Not great news
for the Lions. If that's the case, and he's ruled out, watch
for Roger McCreary to take a spot or the ever unpredictable
Ennis Raikstra. And you could also see Keith Abney, the fifth
round draft pick, get more snaps for the Lions in that defensive
backfield. So not so great news on that front. But how about a
little bit of good news for the Lions? It looks like Christian
Isian will be able to go for the Lions tomorrow night against the
Buffalo Bills. He missed the course with a groin injury on
Sunday against the Saints, but he's practiced all week. Looks
like he's good to go, at least in nickel situations for the
Lions. And he could step up as well in a rotation to help. Even
if DJ Reed starts, he'll be able to get some action in there.
Much needed really for the Lions in that defensive backfield. So
a lot to think about on the injury front. I go back to the
injuries to Blake Miller and Christian Mahogany. So I've got
to ask you again, what is your concern for the Lions heading
into week two? Which injury concerns you the most? Blake
Miller, Christian Mahogany, neither one of them. It's early,
they'll be all right. Or you've got a lot of concern for both as
they're equally troubling. Would like to hear your reaction right
here on Lions Digest. All right. A reminder again, tomorrow
night. Don't forget, we've got our live preview show here on
Lions Digest, the Lions-Bills preview show. Call it a
pregame show. Seven o'clock Eastern Time, of course, half
hour show. The game starts a little bit after that. But right
after the contest, we'll have our postgame show, our first one
live of the year. All the live interactions from yours truly,
and of course, you the audience. And in the pregame show, I would
love to see what your predictions will be with the
outcome. The Bills and the Lions, it's coming up. It's
going to be a dandy. We can't wait to talk more about it with
you live tomorrow night, right here on Lions Digest. And one
last reminder, again, welcome those of you that are checking
us out for the first time here on Lions Digest. And again, if
