Operation Vivaldi by the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces thwarted the Russian Army command's plans to capture Liman and surrounding settlements, as well as encircle Slavyansk before winter. Military commanders reported to Vladimir Putin about the capture of Svyatogorsk when the front line was 15-16 kilometers away. The site's editor-in-chief, Bogdan Bachinsky, announced this on the air of Espresso , recalling that 85 square kilometers of territory had been liberated during the fighting.

Ukrainian forces were able to advance further than planned during Operation Vivaldi. During the offensive in the Donetsk region, the Armed Forces eliminated numerous Russian officers and significantly increased the pool for the exchange of Russian prisoners.
This complex operation was possible, in part, thanks to information silence. Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Maksym Zhorin, revealed the details on the Suspilne channel. The development of the Vivaldi plan was prompted by the complex situation that had developed in the Liman area, explained Maxim Zhorin. Russian forces were attempting to implement their usual scenario of seizing a populated area, cutting off logistics, and then directly destroying the city itself.
This operation was planned to prevent the Russians from implementing this plan and creating a bridgehead for themselves to encircle Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. "To prevent this from happening, to prevent the possibility of creating a bridgehead for the capture of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, this operation was essentially initiated", Maxim Zhorin explained.
According to him, the military was tasked with preventing the Russians from advancing into the Ukrainian rear and also with clearing the area. Operation Vivaldi also yielded many other significant results. First and foremost, according to Zhorin, was the elimination of a large number of occupiers. He reported that Ukrainian troops killed a significant number of enemy officers. A significant number of occupiers were captured, which allowed for one of the largest replenishments of the exchange fund in a long time. The deputy commander of the 3rd Army Corps also reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to keep their advance secret, in part thanks to the Iron Dome system. This system consists of a large number of different electronic warfare systems, and during Operation Vivaldi, it destroyed approximately 20,000 enemy drones.
Zhorin also explained that Operation Vivaldi is in fact only the first of four planned phases. Ukrainian forces not only managed to complete all assigned tasks but also continued to advance beyond the planned stage.
