Russian Z blogger Alexander Gorny expects the fuel situation to worsen both in occupied Crimea and throughout Russia. Furthermore, he suspects the gasoline shortage will culminate in riots. Gorny writes about this in his Facebook blog. "Without a resolution to the fuel issue, we'll face a hard landing by the end of October; not everyone will survive. Monitoring the situation in the country and Crimea, I understand that fuel riots are ahead," Gorny wrote. He also complained about the exorbitant prices for groceries in occupied Crimea. A 900-gram carton of milk costs 199 rubles, and 10 chicken eggs cost 149 rubles. A 300-gram carton of low-fat sour cream costs 163 rubles. A 1.5-liter bottle of sparkling drinking water costs 95 rubles. 900 grams of kefir costs 180 rubles. He also reported that his friends and acquaintances had "sadness and uncertainty" in their eyes. "The main topic is how to live on. The fuel crisis is shaking all of Russia, but we got our fill in Crimea, and we're still getting it. Standing in line at the gas station for 20 liters, I overhear people talking. Out of desperation, they call themselves eternal waiters. They wait a day, sometimes even five, to fill up. So I'm one of those waiters, and now I haven't been able to fill up for a week," complained Patriot Z.
It was also reported that every second gas station in Russia is out of gasoline: the fuel crisis is gaining momentum. The Kremlin failed to stabilize the domestic fuel market in time for the elections. Half of the country's gas stations are out of gasoline, and huge queues are forming at the remaining ones. This was reported by the Russian independent publication Novaya Gazeta Evropa. Russians have the most serious problems with high-octane AI-95, which is unavailable at 53% of Russian gas stations. The lower-octane AI-92 is available at 45% of stations. At the end of August, only about a third of gas stations were without these brands. Now the situation has worsened significantly following a series of new Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries. Where fuel is available, it's sold at high prices. Getting it requires hours of standing in line. About 11-12% of gas stations have introduced fuel sales limits. For example, they allow purchases of no more than 30 liters per vehicle. The fuel situation in the Russian dictator's homeland—St. Petersburg and the surrounding region—is the most dire. The cause is the attack by Ukrainian drones on the Kinef oil refinery, the largest in the Leningrad region. Serious shortages are also being recorded in Irkutsk, Novorossiysk, Surgut, Perm, Krasnodar, the Arkhangelsk and Rostov regions, as well as the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs.
