Quality time with Mama! LUNCH & DINNER 💜

Another day in the life of dementia caregiving. I showed up with lunch for Mama, but as usual, she had her own plans. She ignored me at first (classic Mama!), wandered the halls with one sock on, and told me someone “stood behind the door and took the other one.” These unpredictable moments are tough—but they’re also what makes our journey so real.

Even though it was a challenge getting her to sit down and eat, I stayed, spent some quality time, and made sure she had her dinner before I left. Every visit is a reminder of how important patience, love, and humor are when caring for a parent with dementia.
