DC Weather: Late-week summer-like weather

Washington D.C. and surrounding areas will experience an unusually warm start to October, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s and potentially hitting 90 degrees by Friday. This late-summer heat will be short-lived, as a cold front arriving Friday evening will bring rain showers and a significant temperature drop heading into the weekend.
