Ukrainian forces have dealt heavy blows to Russian offensive capabilities on the Huliaipole front, striking Russian personnel, military vehicles and other equipment as Moscow continues preparations for further offensive operations in the area. Video shared on social media shows a series of Ukrainian strikes against Russian targets, including various military vehicles and pieces of equipment. The footage captures powerful explosions erupting as the targets are hit, with thick clouds of smoke and debris rising from the impact sites. Russian forces are continuing to build up troops and equipment on the Huliaipole front in an effort to maintain their offensive capabilities and increase pressure on Ukrainian positions in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian forces eliminate around 100 Russian troops per day in the area. Several Russian combined-arms armies are operating against Ukraine’s 7th Air Assault Corps, with elite units, including specialized unmanned-systems formations, also involved in the fighting. Within the 7th Corps’ area of responsibility, Russia has been accumulating armored vehicles and other heavy equipment, apparently preparing them for a potential attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses. The Russian military recently carried out its first “test” mechanized assault, deploying several armored vehicles and quad bikes toward the settlements of Zheleznodorozhne and Hirke. One of the armored vehicles was fitted with a mine-clearing roller to clear a route through mined terrain. Ukrainian troops from the 154th and 142nd Mechanized Brigades, the 225th Assault Regiment and neighboring units of the Unmanned Systems Forces stopped the Russian advance, destroying enemy equipment and personnel. In September alone, the Russian military lost more than 600 cars and motorcycles and around 50 armored vehicles on the Huliaipole front, according to the Ukrainian military.
