Today we are taking Kira and Eleanor camping and going on one seriously crazy Michigan adventure! We headed out to Silver Mountain in the Upper Peninsula to explore the old Silver Mountain Mine and then decided to climb all the way to the top. The trail was MUCH harder than I remembered, and we ended up climbing about 1,320 feet to reach the highest point. There were huge rock faces, steep rocky trails, rock climbers, amazing views, and even a little bit of questionable decision making along the way!

After making it to the top of Silver Mountain with the Huskies, we still had to make it all the way back down. Then we grabbed some Burger King for dinner, fed the girls, and headed out to find one more waterfall before dark. We explored the waterfalls along the river, visited the area where Kira escaped her harness as a puppy, and even ended the night with a little Lake Superior view. It was a LONG day of hiking, camping, waterfalls, rocks, squirrels, and adventure, but the views were absolutely worth it!

🐿️ Watching the squirrels and chipmunks keep the girls entertained
💧 Exploring multiple waterfalls before dark
🌊 Getting a little Lake Superior time at the end of the day
😴 Watching two very tired Huskies finally settle in for the night
