Lane Kiffin & LSU Face Critical Early-Season Crossroads

Boy, it's the early part of the college football season and there's some great coaching jobs going on right now. Will Stein over at Kentucky has got his football team to 5-1 on the season, having beaten LSU this past weekend. And also, how about Bob Chesney and the job that he has done at UCLA? They end up taking out Oregon and boy, those two coaches have done a whale of a job. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on at LSU. You know, they gave Lane Kiffin a boatload of money, a boatload of nil money, and LSU is off to their worst start since 2023 when Coach O was there at 4-2. This was a football team that everybody on game day, including Nick Saban, was touting as a football team that would go on to potentially play for the national championship. Not so fast, my friend, as Lee Corso would say. and Lane Kiffin even addressed some of the issues that they had against those Wildcats this past weekend. I mean, not really. If you don't execute, you don't execute. You know, the punt return, you've got a player there tackling him and doesn't tackle him, you know, and it goes outside. And, you know, the long run, you know, we get scooped out of a gap and the ball goes for a long run. So if you don't do fundamentally sound stuff, you get exposed versus good teams. Dude, I mean, I am so sick and tired of this guy and the way he over-explains everything. You want to know what the ultimate food salad is? That's it right there. That's a word salad. Hey, this is why we didn't do this. This is why we didn't do... Hey, Lane, how about winning some ballgames that matter? Where has Lane Kiffin won? What has Lane Kiffin won? Look at the schedule coming up, too. Hey, man, Mississippi State, they could get their doorknobs knocked off there. That's a good football team. Auburn's not going to be easy. And then look at that trio and that gauntlet. You got Bama. Hey, you see, Bama didn't fall in the polls. Everyone looks at them as a top five football team, top six football team, and they are. Then you've got Texas. I don't know what Texas really is, okay? Arch Manning and Sarkisian are overrated as well. I can't tell who's more overrated, Sarkisian or Kiffin. Then you've got a very good Tennessee team. and then you got Arkansas look at that gauntlet of games you've got to play now you can see three L's up there easily and how about this a five loss LSU team in Lane Kiffin's first year and you're paying that guy 14 million dollars a year to do what finish in the middle of the SEC bro you were brought into Baton Rouge to win national championships not be decent Brian Kelly was decent and he's a tool this guy here was brought in to play for national titles hey man listen like i said there's certain programs in the country that you can go in and you can prance up in Iowa they do they're happy with seven eight wins i was happy with that they'll pay him eight million when you coach at LSU Texas Alabama Georgia those programs you can't be ten and three you've got to play and play for national titles Lane Kiffin is right now putting together what might be one of the worst seasons that Baton Rouge has seen in a long time and this even goes back to the days before Coach look you could say all you want about Oheren what's the one thing that Orgeron did actually there's two things Orgeron did when he was there at LSU he won a national championship and he won a southeastern conference title and most notably he took out bama i mean guys make no mistake lane kiffin when you look at where he is in that program right now they're at a crossroads here you gave him all the money and on top of that you gave him all the power to make that team a national championship contender
