Tampa Bay Rays Beat Guardians 3-1, Even Playoff Series

The Tampa Bay Rays bounced back. Big effort last night. We got to see Baker, I guess, close that out. 3-1 was the final. Some shoddy defense, unfortunately, for the Guardians. But another good game. That was a bit of a pitcher's duel there last night. But ultimately, a couple more hits when it mattered for the Rays. And they did exactly what they needed to do. Tie this series up and head to Cleveland for the next three games. What did you think of what we saw last night? And Peralta was amazing, by the way. Yeah, yeah. You know, I kind of saw this coming a little bit when we were talking yesterday. And then watching second, third inning, I'm like, yep, the Rays are going to win this one. I felt good about it. By the way, they're 89-0 now, leading after eight innings. That is insane. I didn't realize that. 89-0, including the postseason. Yeah, so, look, Tampa Bay, nothing has really changed from the beginning of the series to make me change what i saw last night still think tampa bay is gonna win but you know this this series joe i gotta tell you uh because it's cleveland it reminds me so much of the cubs when they played them and the cubs won the world series that year where the cubs played cleveland in the world series everyone's like oh cubs are gonna sweep it's over and cleveland took them to seven games i think that's what's gonna happen here too i think the rays are gonna win the series joe i do i think they're better than cleveland i think they're gonna win a game also in cleveland but I think Cleveland's going to win a game in Cleveland, and these are going to be the scores. 3-1, 2-1, 4-2. I mean, it's boring for some, and it's just a lot of moving players over and really good pitching and closing out games, but that's what these two teams do, Joe. And so I'll say, like, probably Tampa Bay in seven, but I think we're headed toward the end in this one. And by the way, Tampa Bay easily could win the next game, easily. And easily could win the game after that, But then, you know, just when you think Cleveland's done, then they win the next one. And then they win the next one. And they did it against the White Sox. They were down 0-2, and they came back to 1. So I got so much respect for that Cleveland Guardians organization, Joe. Like, I mean, you talk about sustained winning. They win every single year and upset teams every single year. And we give them no credit at the beginning of the year. We never want to give them anything. And they're always winning their 90 games, and they're always in the playoffs. Probably not winning the World Series. Don't think they have enough to do that. But, you know, Jose Ramirez will get hot again. Juan will get a couple of hits. Something surprising will happen in one of these games with the Rays. It's not like the Rays, outside of Rasmussen, have somebody that you guarantee is going to win. That's not the case. So Rasmussen probably wins his next game. Gavin Williams may win the next one for Cleveland. And like I've been saying all week long, you and I will be back here Monday talking about who's going to win Game 7.
